It’s sucks cuz I really DONT LIKE THIS EPISODE..... (I hate how it got resolved) but damn if the characters aren’t ADORABLE IN IT!!!

Also In early episodes they didn’t need any breathing assistance in space... in thingy the team was on the moon and Chiro is in a space suit with no one else batting an eye to lack of oxygen same episode Gibson GETS KNOCKED UNCONSCIOUS AND INTO SPACE and they’re more concerned (after his rescue) at the time about his head... fast forward a season or so and when Otto and Chiro are thrown into space on that cruiser they are BOTH scrambling to get in the cockpit and GASPING for air when in... I wish they would have committed to the monkeys being fine in space it would kinda make more sense for me anyway... ALSO BACK TO THE UNDER WATER COMMENT!!: they need the mask underwater cuz they need to talk and communicate clearly with each other and that is hard to do with water in your mouth...

Something that has always bothered me is that the monkeys use the breathing masks when underwater, but they don’t use anything in space. Like do they need to breathe or not???

I’d also like to point out that he is the only monkey team member to my knowledge that doesn’t have a dedicated day (at least that I can tell) I assume it’s on March the 4th (3/4 for OTTO34) but no one has confirmed this for me and the 2 times I’ve asked have gone no where (not mad at the people who didn’t know I’m just annoyed at lack of Otto love)

I won’t convince you otherwise, but I will use this to talk about Otto for a bit.

Otto is undeniably, the least appreciated monkey on the whole team. I mean, he’s appreciated, but not in the same way the others are. He’s not respected. Otto is incredibly resourceful, a downright genius, and has second most versatile weapon in the team.

Overall in the fandom, Otto is left out of a lot of things. In fanfiction he’s left out of serious moments, medical scenarios (the team is part mechanical, he’s just as important as Gibson!), and sometimes even dialogue! While he is optimistic, he’s not pure happy-go-luckiness, while he’s less skilled in social situations, Gibson isn’t either! Neither of them are idiots in this either! He isn’t completely oblivious or gullible.

I hate that he’s been given this “precious baby” caricature by the fandom. He is adorable! Yes! So are the rest of the monkeys! He’s just as adorable, just as skilled, 

and just as BADASS!

Otto is fierce,

He’s a genius in engineering (a much more useful field than the theoretics of science, if you ask me) and made a fully functioning threat detection/diffusion system within a day (within a comically short amount of time, actually)

Such an engineering genius that he REINVENTED THE GUN. HE MADE A FUNCTIONING AUTOMATIC GUN OUT OF BAMBOO

He was the first to figure out what was happening in ‘ape new world’

He’s not pure joy, either.

‘Circus of Ooze’ is an entire episode outlining Otto being seen as useless or talentless.

When Mandarin attempted to corrupt them, Otto was the first to lose hope.

When the team was about to destroy the Skeleton King Worm, Otto was the first to suggest that Nova and Chiro might be dead.

Otto deserves more respect than he’s given. Mark my words, Otto is capable monkey, and just because he’s optimistic and funny doesn’t make him weaker or less intelligent than his teammates.

Have I mentioned as of late that I love this AU idea? And everything in it?

What would Thingie's (the cute/destructive slobbery ball of fuzz) role be in your AU be? Would he be a corrupted gem monster like Centipeetle that Chiro tries to keep and restore? Or have more of a Lion/Bismuth role, like a secret ally that was kept by Citrine from the other gems for unknown reasons possibly involving Black Diamond? (I believe the former would make more sense, but imagine all the feels the latter would cause)

Yeah, he’d be in about the same situation as Centipeetle is in canon.

Since his saliva heals/prevents SK’s mutation dust in the show, I figured I should use a quartz gem for Thingy, since Rose & Steven are quartz gems & they have the healing powers. I went with Chalcedony for him~

Thankfully, the fact he can grow into a bigger monster when he’s distressed actually still fits within the SU canon, since Centipeetle has two sized monster forms. :)

But anyways, I figured the end of the ep where the team finds his original planet can be substituted with a less heartrending version of Centipeetle’s reunion with her own crew in ‘Monster Reunion’, where they find more corrupted Chalcedonys that he was taken from by Black Diamond.

I reblog this because I’m literally so dumb it to two separate viewings (even tho it’s listed in the tags) for me to realise that they are werewolves and that the shorty is actually a big ol’ werewolf.... I’m an idiot... it’s very cute and I like it
