Only my muppet mutuals will care about this but: I took photos to show how excited I am that Richard Hunt's biography came out.
Anyways, after years of wondering, reading about lgbtq history as a teenager helped me accept my identity/place in the community. Since I have been nerdy forever, this reading coincided with reading about behind (below?) info about the muppets. All this reading connected in a cool way in Richard's story. It meant a lot to learn about someone who had an important, queer influence on something beloved from my childhood.
It meant so much that I kept trying to learn about Richard. The zine on the right is one the first lgbtq "book" I bought for myself, even. I am excited for even more people to learn about him from the final book. He's a good reminder that lgbtq identities are not a new "woke" thing and we have been making important contributions to society for a long time.
