Still can't believe Ken Page has passed away. He will always be Old Deuteronomy to me, and I feel like I'm kind of numb but also sad at the same time. Rewatching the '98 film is going to feel very different now, especially during his song.

how does ur griz met old deut?
They both grew up in the junkyard but didn't interact much, if at all, until Grizabella became a queen rather than a kit (old deut is about somewhere between 7 and 10 years older than Griz). Young Deut was practically just like Tugger (it's where he gets it from) until Grizabella came in his view. He fell flat on his knees for her although it took a while for Griz to feel the same. And the rest is history!

Idk if I imagined this or if there's a video on it or what have you, but I stupidly love the idea of Tugger looking around for Mistoffelees during every Macavity scare, just wanting to protect him from his older brother. Pre-relationship or not I just love it. And when Macavity finally shows up! Is Tugger close enough to reach Mistoffelees? Is he not? If he is does he grab Mistoffelees to then run and hide? Argh I swear these two make my brain spinn.

And of course my favourite Favourite one is the two of them having their own secret clearing. This is where Tugger can just lay down and watch as Mistoffelees dances around, looking as if the nightsky just descended down and landed on him. Both of them enjoying each and every second of it all. Tugger helping him or just cheering makes Mistoffelees's heart bloom and that in turn makes Tugger's heart light up in joy.

i think cats fanfiction allows for great in-character plots some other fandoms may not exactly. i think there should be a cats fic somewhere that goes like this:
• munkustrap walks onto a spot of sunlight coming in through a window and flops on his side. sunbathing time.
• tugger comes over. flops down as well.
• they see a bird. munkustrap chirps. tugger tells him to shut up. munkustrap shuts up. tugger chirps.
• tugger smacks munkustrap for existing too close to him. munkustrap smacks him back. tugger screams until a human comes to pet him into solace. he will never forget this betrayal.
• 10 minutes later, tugger has forgotten this betrayal. tugger deems munkustrap's tail chewable.
• munkustrap smacks him.
• tugger screams.
