John Partridge and Jacob Brent who played in the 1998 filmed version get a lot of attention in the CATS fandom for being gay role models.

Here’s a proud shout-out to the others in the 1998 version who’s also openly gay and representing the LGBTQ+ community in theater, dance and show business, in a big or small way.

Tony Timberlake, Michael Gruber, Jason Gardiner, Drew Varley, Ken Page and Susie McKenna.

Hearing about Ken Page’s death is heartbreaking. I quite literally grew up with that man, watching him in “All Dogs go to Heaven” and now “Cats”, this feels so unreal. I still can’t believe it. I’m devastated.

May he rest in peace <33
