By not asking anyone for help and remaining silent about her troubles, she did something incredibly dangerous by living alone in a tent in the woods until she was literally THIS 🤏 close to dying in a natural disaster. She was lucky Yuki and Shigure found her when she ran out of options.

Even if it was played for laughs in a sort darkly humorous way, this recklessness goes beyond her simply being selfless and kind to everyone she meets. She has little sense of self preservation aside from keeping her mother's memory alive.

She is on the edge of mental collapse from her death

Being selfless and helpful to those around her fulfills that loneliness and emptiness creeping up on her since her mother was taken from her

It IS part of her personality, being naturally compassionate, but it is also a coping mechanism to avoid facing reality (she subtly always talks about her mother in present tense)

BUT THE THING IS SHE ATTRACTS PEOPLE TO HER, GOOD PEOPLE WHO WILL NOTICE HER PAIN AND SUPPORT HER EVEN IF SHE TRIES AVOIDING THEIR HELP, LETTING HER PAIN OUT TO THOSE CLOSEST TO HER (Uotani and Hanajima, then Yuki and Kyo, then to Kyo the most)
