So My Birthday Is On Halloween And, Because I Think Its Really Neat, Any Self-insert Characters I Play

So my birthday is on Halloween and, because I think it’s really neat, any ‘self-insert’ characters I play (like OM or Twst) are born on Halloween too. It’s usually all fine, up until another character shares the same birthday (aka Diavolo).

So, in a world where the demon crown prince’s birthday is a national celebration and you are nothing more than a simple meaningless human, how would the brothers react finding out months later (because, let’s be honest, aside from Mammon, Levi and maybe Beel depending on the timeline, they absolutely couldn’t care less about something like your birthday so soon after your arrival) that they basically just ignored your birthday. Would it be worst if you did absolutely nothing, knowing that Diavolo was more important, or that you baked yourself a cake/cupcakes to blow out candles on your own in the middle of the night? And also, how would Diavolo react finding out about this? He already expressed wishing he could have a smaller, more personal celebration (if I remember right, but I might be wrong) and, now, the human he cares so much for was basically just forgotten and completely alone because of him (not really his fault, but still…)

So, I’m a girl, a woman, a lady. And usually, when I play a game where you have to play either a guy or girl mc, I usually choose the girl. But, when I decided to play HSR, I chose Caelus instead of Stelle with no real reason other than I wanted to. However, when I told my brother, this amazing pearl of a conversation happened:

Him: But why?

Me: The question isn’t ‘why’, but ‘why not’!

H: Okay… Why not?

M: Exactly!

H: …

H: Wait no-

I can't stop thinking about Lyney and Lynette as two silly siamese cats...

A deal you can't refuse

One of my ships is Lyney x Diluc. There is absolutely no reason for them to be together, but I had a gigantic thought.

At first, for some reason, I didn’t think Diluc had gone on a killing spree against the Fatui. I thought he has joined the Fatui, before changing his mind, probably after learning some big evil secret thingy, and deciding to kill them all.

BIG misunderstanding on my end. I know better now.

But, anyway, following this, I thought « What if Diluc had worked for the Fatui in Fontaine? »

This way, he would have met a teenage Lyney, who, filled with your normal teenage hormones, would have fallen head over heals for that hunk of a man (young adult early twenties man mind you).

Lyney being himself, he would have tried his shot, but Diluc would have shut him down so fast, saying things like « I don’t play around with kids. »

So that was that…

Then, Diluc finds out about the big evil secret thingy, decides to kill all the Fatui, somehow ends up in Snezhnaya, gets exiled from Snezhnaya, probably hunted down, goes back to Mondstadt, yada yada.

Cut to years later (not like… decades, but still at least 7-8 years), Lyney, Lynette and Freminet get tired of being dolls to Father. They decide to book it out of Fontaine as soon as possible before something bad happens.

Now, I have multiple ideas of how and why that happens. Maybe Lyney gets proposed to take over Father and he doesn’t want to. Maybe one of them gets badly injured on a mission and they realise they’re not ready to die for the Fatui’s cause. Maybe another orphan they’re really close with (an Oc) decides to book it and they follow them.

In any case. Gone

And they end up in Mondstadt.

Again, I have multiple ideas. Maybe they get ambushed by some hilichurls or bandits or whatever. Maybe they get caught in a bad storm. Maybe Barbatos watches over them the way he watches over his people and he decides to guide them. But whatever happens, they end up at Dawn Winery.

Yada yada, shits happen, Diluc and Lyney get together.

The end

That’s basically how this ship came to be and I’m legit sad that there isn’t any art or fics about them because I would consume the shit out of it.
