Day thirteen of Spooky Month! Today Camper is dressed as a spooooky librarian. No, really! These are some pretty scary stories, she swears! She couldn’t even finish her book of Edgar Allen Poe poems before her poor reading glasses were falling off her face from how much she was trembling! Maybe she’ll try Bram Stoker next, she’s heard Dracula isn’t too bad… At least today isn’t a Friday.

Day twelve of Spooky Month and Camper is in a particularly showstopping mood! She’s taken to the stage like a swan to water and is now looking for volunteers to join her barbershop quartet. At the moment it’s more of a barbershop solo, but she hasn’t given up hope yet! In the meantime, she’s got some dances to learn. And a-one, and a-two…

Day eleven of Spooky Month! Camper is proud to present the Animal Crossing Ballet performance of Swan Lake! Such an elegant dance takes a lot of work, but Camper has been practicing a long time to make sure she does her half of Odette’s story justice. The other half is of course played by Gloria, who admittedly pulled off the swan costume a lot better.

Day ten of Spooky Month and Camper is busting out her cooking skills! So she may have been caught eating her cupcake hat at the bakery, but that’s okay. There are always other restaurants! Today’s treat is a tray of steaming takoyaki, fresh out of the pan (my silly American self totally didn’t have to look up what that was, absolutely not. Anyway apparently it’s Japanese street food made of fried octopus). Now she just has to make sure she doesn’t eat it before she can serve it! It smells so good though… surely one bite won’t hurt, right?

Day nine of Spooky Month and Camper is ready to try the spooky side of the month again! This time she’s dressed up as a scary ninja. This outfit includes shoes that make her just as sneaky and quiet as the real deal. Guess what she calls them? Sneakers!

Day eight of Spooky Month! Today Camper is wearing her outfit from the Sakura Festival event. The festival may be over now, but a good outfit never goes out of style! Don’t ask what that bow is holding on to, she couldn’t tell you and she’s too busy enjoying this lovely drink to investigate!

Day seven of Spooky Month! Camper is having a blast pretending to be a cowboy today! Now if only she could find a horse to complete the look. Maybe Reneigh will dress up with her? Until then, Camper is perfectly happy riding around with imaginary horses. Yeehaw!

Day six of Spooky Month! Yesterday’s costume was a little frightening for Camper, so today she’s keeping it cute and classic with a puppy costume! Considering it’s only fabric and faux fur that tail shouldn’t be able to wag like it is, but she’s not complaining. This one is just too comfy!

Day five of Spooky Month and Camper is ready to get scary! Today’s costume is a spooky witch. It may be a little too spooky though, because now Camper jumps every time she walks past a mirror. That wasn’t a scream just now, what are you talking about? Spooky scary witches aren’t scared of anything!

Day four of Spooky Month! Today Camper is showing off her most comfy pajamas and her favorite teddy bear, Drop. Some might call it lazy to just roll out of bed and call it a costume, but what can she say? It’s not her fault her pajamas look so good, she just woke up like this.

Day three of Spooky Month! Today Camper is ready for her shift at the bakery! Don’t tell her boss, but sometimes she sneaks little bites of her cupcake hat when no one is looking. This is her third hat this week.

Day 2 of Spooky Month! Today Camper is dressed up as one of her biggest inspirations, Frogger! She hopes to be able to jump as high as he can someday. She’s training hard, but in the meantime, this high will have to do.

In honor of the world’s greatest holiday, I have decided to follow in the example of the lovely Junimo B. on YouTube and make a Halloween costume for every day in October! Unfortunately I don’t have Stardew Valley, but I do have Animal Crossing Pocket Camp, so my little camper will have to do.

Today Camper is dressed up as a knight in shining armor! Don’t worry, this knight does no slaying of innocent dragons. She fights in only the most noble fight of them all: the Skeleton War.

So a lot of political scandals just dropped in the last 24 hours

-NC Governor Candidate Mark Robinson's online posts were found, including some VERY graphic descriptions (like seriously, do not read if you're not 18) of him cheating on his wife, calling himself a black Nazi, and expressing support for reinstituting slavery. His email address was also found on Ashley Madison

-Robert F Kennedy Jr was revealed to be cheating on his wife with a reporter (and that isn't even the weirdest thing since federal law enforcement opened an investigation into him allegedly cutting off the head of a whale and taking it home with him less than 24 hours ago)

-GOP Senate candidate who is the CEO of a bank has been found accepting millions of dollars from what seem to allegedly be Mexican drug cartels.

-Finally, probably the biggest bombshell, according to multiple eyewitness testimonies within sealed sworn affadavits, Congressman Matt Gaetz allegedly invited a 17-year-old girl to a drug-fueld sex party

And we haven't even hit October, folks. Again, these are all still breaking news stories, so things are subject to change, but oh man oh man.

One of the best parts of the blanket fort I’ve had up around my bed for like a month now is that my cat has found the best way to get in it is by jumping through a little gap where two sheets meet by the head of the bed, which means every once in a while I’ll see the sheet move a little and look down and see his little face poking up through the sheet wall for a second as he determines the hole does in fact still work to jump through before jumping in
