To Anyone Considering Studying/pursuing A Career In Film, Heres A Warning You Probably Havent Heard Yet.
To anyone considering studying/pursuing a career in film, here’s a warning you probably haven’t heard yet. Make sure you like making movies more than you like watching them. Because when it becomes your practice, you lose the ability to be immersed. I know that doesn’t sound like a big deal but it’s something you should seriously consider. The majority of people I know who work in this industry don’t actually watch movies anymore. It’s like knowing the secret to a magic trick— you’ll never see it the same way again. That said, I know very few people who regret choosing film. If you love it, it’s worth it. Just remember, if you turn your passion into your job, your passion will feel like a job.

Oh thank god I can finally sleep

You know what’s wild? If the human race dies out and some alien species explores earth 10,000 years from now, you know what’s going to blow them away? The Pyramids. It’s been thousands of years and nothing we’ve made has topped that, and they did that shit by hand. Embarrassing.
Yes to all of this except I prefer spreading out in the middle of the floor instead of a corner. I don’t have space to do it in my apartment but my friend does so when I come over we just have “floor time” and it’s great.
When I was a kid I was constantly on the floor, specifically in an Asian squat, which everyone around me found bizarre (white family, I didn’t even know the Asian squat was a thing till last year). I was shocked when I found out some people couldn’t do it, but I’ve noticed that my ND friend usually can because they did it as a kid too.
Question for my autistic/neurodivergent mutuals-
Do any of y’all just… prefer to sit on the floor?? 💀
I’ve always preferred to sit on the floor or close to the ground (especially when I’m overstimulated) and my NT friends and family always question why and I never really had an explanation for it. I just like to sit on the floor rather than like in a chair, even if there’s multiple seats available. Bonus points if the spot on the floor is also in like a corner/closed area, I’ve literally sat behind a couch before, just because I wanted to and was comfy there 🤷🏾♀️.
I’ve literally been like that my whole life and always just kinda vibed with it, but I’m just curious if any other neurodivergent people have the same/similar preference!

We really do live in a society lads
