You Wont Make Yourself A Name If You Follow The Rules // History Gets Made When Youre Acting A Fool
You won’t make yourself a name if you follow the rules // History gets made when you’re acting a fool
Love this song, especially coming from Lauren. Knowing that she struggled with bulimia and body image makes this song so much more powerful. You can hear her passion in every note, and this video shows it as well. I also love that she wrote it with Meghan Trainor, another outspoken woman on body image.

Love this song by James Bay! I am a huge James Bay fan, but I really love the energy that this song has. His voice is flawless, as always, and I really love the message and lyrics of this song.
How many times can I break til I shatter // Over the line, can’t define what I’m after
One of my favorite OAR songs. I love his voice in this song. These lyrics are so relatable and honest, and it’s a great song about needing to just be strong enough to break the cycle of your life. It’s a little it of an older song, but it’s still a good one!

I walked out, I said I’m setting you free // But the monsters turned out to be just trees
Love this version by Taylor. I’m a fan of the original song, but this acoustic format suits the song so well, and really captures the emotion of the lyrics that she’s singing. One of my favorite things about Taylor is her amazing songwriting, and this version highlights that.
I blaze a trail like the rays from taillights // Sound shaking the ground like earthquakes and hail might
I love this song and this band. Thousand Foot Krutch has such a cool blend of rock and rap music,. I love Trevor’s rapping style almost as much as I love his singing. The End Is Where We Begin era TFK is probably my favorite, and this is probably my favorite song from the album.
The things I’ve learned from a broken mirror // How a face can change when a heart knows fear
This is such a beautiful song from Andrew McMahon! These lyrics are so sweet, and its even more beautiful when you know he wrote it for his daughter as a road map of where he’s been and what he wants for her. I love the symbolism of the satellite, and you can hear all the emotion in his voice.
