The fact is fiction // Suspicion is the new religion // America listens as the story is told // With the eye on the truth as the story unfolds // But the ratings determine which story was sold // We’re selling the news
Every word of this Switchfoot song rings true. In the current climate of America, dominated by “fake news” and “alternative facts”, this song is more accurate than ever. Jon Foreman captures the spirit of the powers that be spinning the truth to benefit them, something we’re seeing a lot of right now. One great thing about this song is that it spans many genres, with rap-like verses mixing into their signature alt rock sound. With his amazing lyrics and great voice, this song is a must hear.

The people fade away and all stars are just a flicker // And you're left there all alone // When there's so much more that you could see if you just stick around // All the street light secrets whispering for you to come back out
Love this song from Matchbox Twenty! I’m a huge fan of Rob Thomas, both vocally and lyrically. I love how this song starts the North album. These lyrics are beautiful to me, and like always, I love the emotion and intensity Rob brings to every word. I also love the instrumentation and how it complements Rob’s voice and lyrics so well.
I won’t be invisible...
RIP Christina. You are not invisible, you are not forgotten. You are remembered by your fans and immortalized in your music. #cgforever
All that I am, all that I ever was // Is here in your perfect eyes, they’re all I can see
One of the sweetest songs ever written. The lyrics of this song are so sweet. Sometimes you just wanna lay with someone and forget the world. This video is also pretty awesome!
Baby, you're like lightning in a bottle // I can't let you go now that I've got it // And all I need is to be struck by your electric love Love this song by BØRNS. It has an older quality to the production and his voice, and it gives it a cool vintage feel when listening to it, which works great. I love his voice in it as well and how it meshes with the music.
If you can hold the stars in place // You can hold my heart the same
Love this song from Skillet. It’s a little softer than their usual stuff, and definitely softer than the rest of the songs on the Unleashed album, but that’s partially why I love it. It is a departure from their harder sound, but it is super fitting for the lyrics of this song. I also like that this is one of their more Christian songs as well. John and Jen sound great together, as always, and I love the cinematography in this video as well.
