Less of a game and more of a short story, "* Despite everything" is an exercise in accepting and forgiving your past self for the things they could not control. It's a twist on the classic "What would you tell yourself five years ago?" through the lens of a queer, neurodivergent adolescence.

Anyway some of y'all are fucking weak. You can't drop a book riddled with every bigotry in the book because you read it when you were 10. Read another book. I've dropped so many 'good' media because the creators were shit bags. Its not that hard. Wizards existed before a white lady made a bland version of it. Thats....such an indicator of weak character.

i would like a moment to briefly note how important it is that benoit blanc is an older queer character. an older, happy queer character.

we are missing a good chunk of an entire generation of queer people due to the aids crisis. blanc living his cute happy little life, probably in his fifties, with his lovely partner, is such a beacon of hope. for me, at least.
