WHY HAVEN’T I THOUGHT OF THIS ONE?!!
My autistic ass likes to think of meal time as a Pokémon team of sorts, where I’ll have a number of things on my plate and I mix and match them based off of their attributes to make the best flavour combos for the time being.
Every time I go and make myself a plate of whatever I’m always thinking of the flavours like Pokémon type combos, like “this cheese is salty and creamy, so I should grab something fruity and/or sour to go with it”
I always think about the attributes like sweet, sour, salty, savoury, spicy, creamy, fruity, acidic, and so on and so on but refreshing is something I’ve been totally missing!!
Refreshing is immediately getting out in my flavour catalogue, and yes most of my meals are just shitty charcuterie lmao
I think "refreshing" is an underrated flavor spectrum. Like I love it when something is refreshing
Funny autism story-
When I first got diagnosed they send me to a professional place I don’t remember much but I do remember them trying to give me a cup that changes the picture on it as you rotate it.
They tried to give me one of these cups as a stim toy and scratched the surface of it as they handed to me. It went from a stim toy to a stimn’t toy I remember them trying to give me more/exposing me to more of them
They had to force me to even touch them and I was clearly uncomfortable. My family knew damn well that these kinds of cups I just cannot handle the noise they made and got rid of them when I expressed my displeasure with the cups
The place did no such thing and I had to tell them repeatedly that those cups “make my brain tingle in the wrong ways”
I honestly haven’t really felt understood until I downloaded tumblr a few months ago so thanks you guys for being someone I can relate to.

Aight one more hyperfixation rant before the year’s over because I cannot tell all of you how fucking happy the Sonic renaissance has made me.
From a sequel that absolutely FUCKED on all accounts (I actually cried when the movie ended I was THAT overjoyed, seeing it with my friends was such a special experience)
To then a game that has a story I’m actually invested in, wonderful dialogue (seriously everyone got done so right I’m so happy, I fucking ADORED Sonic’s character in Frontiers oh my GOD), amazing voice direction (seriously Roger did not have to go THAT HARD WHAT-). And of course, a fucking incredible soundtrack that’s unironically considered status tier (I cannot tell you how happy that’s made me as well holy shit I was smiling like a dumbass when I saw the memes).
I haven’t seen Sonic Prime YET, but I’m planning to next year.
Sonic was the first fandom I’ve ever joined and the years of character flanderisation and mid quality absolutely stung.
But seeing all of this has been fucking beautiful and I cannot wait for the future of this franchise and Sonic 3 (I am a big supporter of Robert Pattinson Shadow but if it’s anyone else that sounds really good then I’m not gonna complain)
