This week's mandala sigil is for "Gxd to bless my labors this week".

Magic 101: sigils (the one pictured is mine and you may use it and activate how ever you wish!)

How they work and what (in my opinion) best to use them for!

What are sigils?

They are a drawn from of spell. This form of spells is very old and can actually be found through out history! Sigils are quite literally a drawn form of your intent. They represent the desire, or intent, you have for that moment. It is thought given form! Magic given shape! Desire given direction!

How do you make them?

Well there are 2 ways. One way writing your intention in words, reducing the letters, counting them, and so forth. (I will be providing a video in the next post taged #sigil tictok see as that will teach this method better than me)

The second method of drawing a sigil is by free hand. You let your desire and intention guide you in its form. You focus everything on your writing utensil and let it flow on to the paper!

And how they are activated is completely up to you! You can kiss them, burn them, dissolve them in water, bury them, you name it!

What are their uses?

Oh that list is almost endless! You can use a sigil from anthing like bringing love into your life, to protection your house from unwanted energies!

Now in my opinion sigils are best used for protection, focus, sealing something, and item blessing/cursing.

So remember the sigil, no matter how it made or what its for, can be a powerful tool!

Salandit’s Ward Breaking Spell (Pokemon Inspired)

“Volcanoes or dry, craggy places are its home. It emanates a sweet-smelling poisonous gas that attracts bug Pokémon, then attacks them.” -Pokedex Entry

A spell to weaken and break the wards of another for offensive magick purposes or cursing.

You Will Need:

✘ Sage Incense ✘ 2 Black Candles ✘ Garnet ✘ Picture of Target or their Name

Steps:

✘ place your incense before you and in between your two black candles. Light your black candles right to left then light your sage incense last

✘ Place the picture of the target in front of the incense and place a piece of garnet just below the image

✘ “I melt away your wards, I disintegrate your protections, so I can seek my vengeance without any interference!” While you chant this visualize their protective energy walls doing just that, melting, disintegrating and shattering to let in the smoke of your incense. How the smoke of the incense will fill their home/area and weaken them. How it makes their air heavy and ready for you to send a curse their way.

✘ Once satisfied with your chanting and visualization carefully take your incense and snuff it out on the picture (be careful while doing so)

✘ Blow/snuff out your candles. Cleanse yourself and rest if needed then proceed to cast the curse you desire to cast on them. Keep the singed picture to use in this curse.

Note: keep water or salt nearby for if you try to snuff out your incense and the picture smolders or catches flame. Always practice fire safety.

A sigil for help on exams or other assignments when you are asking for guidance more than luck. Best if written on your pencil or pen and charged the day before you need to use it!

beginner witch here so if this is a dumb question i’m sorry but how do i go about charging a sigil/making it work i’ve already made one that i love (using your sigil wheel post so thank you) what am i supposed to do next? thank you for all the help!!

Well there are 2 types of ways to make a sigil work.Here’s a quick post on which method is best for what result1. Charging

Giving the sigil energy periodically to keep it working (think of it like charging an electronic)How:~Pouring personal energy into it     Place both hand on sigil and visualise your energy flowing from your body into the sigil

~Sun/Moon Energy     

     Place the sigil somewhere it will get good exposure to sunlight or moonlight and the sigil will absorb the energy from that.    (Note: Sunlight and Moonlight have different magical properties, so you should look up what those properties are before doing this)

~Charged Water/Watercolour          Dripping some charged water (think sun/moon/storm/or otherwise charged) on the sigil.     Some people add watercolours to the water they plan to put on the sigil with an intention-based colour to drip onto the sigil. OR you could draw the sigil with these watercolours instead so it’s automatically charged.

~Tracing/Kinetic Energy          Constant movement on a sigil can charge a sigil. This can be done by tracing over it with your finger over and over again till you feel it’s charged enough or through other means like tapping it or putting it under something people regularly step on.

~Heartbeat          If you draw or tattoo a sigil on yourself that sigil will be constantly charged by your heartbeat.     You can also put a sigil you’ve drawn over your heart or wrist somehow and as long as you wear it your heartbeat will keep that sigil charged

~Electronically

     Have a sigil pulled up on an electronic screen while the device is charging

~Other          There’s thousands of unique ways to charge a sigil, the ones listed here are just a few, feel free to look around the witch tips on tumblr or try some different stuff yourself

2. Activating

Destroying the sigil with something that often creates a quick burst of energy, sending it out into the universe to be done.

How:

~Burn it

~Rip/Shred/Cut it up

~Stabbing it

~Ingesting it

~Flushing it down the toilet

~Let it blow away with the wind (if it’s biodegradable)

~Any way you can think of that destroys the sigil

Important Notes:

~Sigils can be used as spell components on their own

~You can charge and then activate a sigil for stronger results

technology mirrors magic

this is just a quick post, nothing refined (those are coming later).

when it comes to creating spells of your own, you are creating a program that is going to be implemented in your reality. there are weak programs, simple programs, complex programs, and ubiquitous programs.

your tarot cards could be the equivalent of scrubbing through a database, communicating to a specific domain/device (astral space, spirits).

what systems are you using to ensure secure connection to your desired target? what systems are in place to ensure that your communications to your desired target are clearly transmitted without being tampered / losing any data? are you and your deck properly configured to even connect to the collective consciousness, navigate the astral, and communicate with other realms effectively?

once you compare witchcraft (+the energy work that goes into it) to technology, you'll notice that a lot of it feels more grounded and less "woo-wooey."

you'll also know how to develop your witchcraft into something advanced and potent, much like how humans have used technology to advance into our modern age today. you'll be able to go from feeling uncertain about your spells to knowing the ins and outs of what you've created, and how it can impact physical reality.

imo, if you're a techy witch, tap into how deep this path can go. you have a good structure to reference and mimic.
