Making graphics, aesthetics, etc. is fun, but you know what isn’t fun? Using stolen and uncredited pictures. I know, I know, properly crediting people is such a hassle… so what if I told you that there were great sites with completely free pictures that require no attribution whatsoever out there? Under the cut is a list I have compiled with #28 sites that contain photos with no copyright restrictions or watermarks, sorted by quality and each with a short description. Unretouched Sky Photography Resembles Stunning Oil Paintings

New York-based photographer Carolyn Marks Blackwood’s abstract photography titled, Cloud Series captures the stunning, soft, and ethereal sensibility of the sky. Resembling an oil painting, Blackwood’s photographs resemble the cotton candy-like streaks on a canvas, which compose the appearance of a fluffy cloud. Each entity parallels the blended  and complimentary colors on a painter’s palette.

The clouds seem to melt into each other, as a transcendent rainbow of fog. The surreal images capture the ephemeral and transient nature of our galaxy’s and planet’s organic mood.  Blackwood admits: “It sometimes takes weeks to get the shots I’m after. At home, in front of the computer, I ‘find’ my pictures—by cropping them—I never manipulate them. It is beauty that drives me and comforts me, even if it is a strange beauty.”

IN THE NEW SNEAK PEEK THING WHERE LYDIA CALLS OUT FOR STILES, DID ANY OF YOU SEE STILES FACE? IT WAS THAT FACE WHERE HE LOOKS AT LYDIA AND HE FEELS HER PAIN AND IT LOOKS LIKE A MIXTURE OF GRIEF, SADNESS, ASHAMED, AND ANGER. HE MADE THAT FACE. BUT EVEN MORE SO, HE MADE THE SAME ENTRANCE AS HE DID AT THE POLICE STATION IN 5x05 (I think? Or 5x04). STILES MADE A DIFFERENCE THIS TIME FROM THE POLICE STATION WHEN HE SAW LYDIA HURT. THIS TIME STILES DECIDED TO ACTUALLY GO TO HER, AND REALLY LET LYDIA KNOW THAT HE IS GOING TO DO EVERYTHING IN HIS POWER TO SAVE HER, RATHER THAN LET SOMEONE ELSE (Theo/Scott/etc.) DO THE WORK FOR HIM. NO, HE WAS GOING TO ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
