A Digital Version Of My Tribute Sketch For The Dallas Memorial

A digital version of my tribute sketch for the Dallas memorial
Pulse was a “bar opened in honour of the owner’s brother who died from aids, named specifically for his heartbeat as a place that was intended to keep his spirit alive.”-meatjoker. What I hope to show with this piece is that although it was an act of hate and violence against us, we are still a community of LOVE , born in LOVE, because of LOVE and because of that fact we can choose to respond with LOVE and unity and support for others who are also affected by it, namely the Muslim community who will face increased hate as well. I know that nothing will ever be the same because of this tragedy, but I also know that we can respond the same way that we have before in times of trail and pain, and that is with the LOVE that we all have flowing through our veins.

Bridging the Schism
(Fantasci-fi)
This piece is inspired by my love for both sci-fi and fantasy and how the lines between them can sometimes be blurred or crossed. I find it really interesting how motifs and concepts within the genres can sometimes be interchanged and mingled e.g. sci-fi solves its problems with science, fantasy solves its problems with magic; sci-fi uses science as its magic and fantasy uses magic as its science, etc... It’s not really that simplistic, but I still find the intersections fascinating and love media that mix and match them like Star Wars, Interworld, The Dark Tower, His Dark Materials, Final Fantasy, Phantasy Star etc...

I'm the Hero of this story, don't need to be saved.
