MAGUS Part I: Introduction
Magus, aka magic (properly spelled magiq), is the manipulation of the natural world through apparently paranatural means (driven by the "psi" force). Magiq is actually an acronym which stands for Manipulation of Atoms, Gravitics, Inductive energy, and Quantum phenomena. Magiq/magic is called a number of other names, though "magus" is the most commonly interchangeable. The practice of magus is divided into two major phyla: teletics and alchemy. Teletics is the discipline of control over the environment through manipulation of bosons, and the alchemical magics deal in what can be summarized as nuclear chemistry (the manipulation of fermions). These two phyla overlap in various focused disciplines, but the distinction between them is obvious and important. Teletics is the direct manipulation of energy (active), whereas alchemy is the direct manipulation of matter (passive). Teletics Teletics is the branch of magic that allows users to transfer and transform energy by way of boson interactions. It is considered by most scholars to be the active phylum of magic, as its effects are more directly linked to the user than those of its sister phylum. There is a bit of trade-off between teletics and alchemy: teletic magics usually do not involve the weak nuclear force, but alchemy requires it; meanwhile alchemy primarily deals with nucleons and captured electrons, so teletics picks up the use of free leptons in its disciplines. The teletic phylum is so named because the majority of its disciplines involve manipulation of the energies around oneself, including those of gravity and magnetics (telekinesis) and electromagnetic impulses in others’ minds (telepathy). Also included in the teletic phylum are the myriad types of kinesis (such as pyrokinesis and hydrokinesis), illusion magic, and the rare and extremely potent chronomagic (an extreme gravity-based magic that delves uncannily into Aether physics). Alchemy Alchemy is, in the simplest terms, the magic of stuff. In a sense one could describe it as magical chemistry; it influences the composition of atoms and compounds to change the identity and properties of substances. It is generally regarded as the passive counterpart to its active sister phylum, as it deals with the manipulation of mass particles and therefore its effects are more indirectly connected to the user than those of teletic magics. The alchemical phylum is named for alchemy, the basic form of transmutation, but also contains magical schools such as potions, transmogrification, and enchantment.
MAGUS Part II: Physics of Magic
The psi force appears to be an addition to the fundamental forces of nature, able to manipulate the other four forces (but still ultimately at the mercy of the scalar Higgs field). Because of this, the psi force –and therefore mages– are able to influence gravity, light, electricity, magnetism, nuclear and chemical reactions, and the very concentration of atomic nuclei (though it cannot directly affect mass values, inertia, or kinetics). Despite the apparently limited number of physical aspects that magus directly influences, mages do have control over a vast range of the natural world. By manipulating gravity, electrons, and thermal photons, for example, one can condense and supercool air into a semi-crystalline nitrate solid which can be shaped into a variety of tools or weapons or detonated with a magical spark (nitrate is a volatile oxidizer).
Like the other fundamental forces, the psi force manifests subatomically as a specific class of vector bosons. These psi force carriers, called psions (symbolized with the Greek letter 𝜓 and entirely separate from the charm-meson of the same name), have 17 different forms, each dedicated specifically to carrying information about one type of elementary particle: 5 for gauge bosons and 12 for elementary fermions. There are only 9 psions that are commonly workable; the other 8 are for heavy unstable fermions that decay under normal conditions. The psion is a vector boson because it has defined velocity, and it carries information about other non-scalar particles. The psion uses the vacuum energy of quantum flux to alter the values of gauge bosons in transit and fermions.
Psions, like the bosons of the weak nuclear force, are particles born of vacuum energy which can exist for a limited amount of time until they are forced to vanish again to conserve mass-energy. When a psion intercepts a particle, such as a photon in transit (Figure P1), it actually entangles itself [𝜓 ⟴ 𝛾] with the particle to impart the information it carries, and then annihilates itself to conserve mass-energy. The merge of information causes the affected particle to change its state and/or energy according to the information borne by the psion; in this diagram the photon is redshifted by the interaction. As stated before, the psi force can influence all aspects of other particles except mass values and therefore intrinsic kinetics. Because of its nature, however, there are cosmological problems like the accuracy of redshift/blueshift and gravitational lensing measurements taken by astronomers. The general accuracy of these measurements are accepted as concurrent with the Principle of Inevitable Cosmic Defaulting.
Howdy! Just wanted to say I'm not dead and here are some sketches I did on the bus!
I don't think I've shared this with anyone besides a friend I don't really talk to anymore; and while I feel extremely nervous sharing them, I'll think I'll ease that by expressing the fact that I'm not an artist. I have been self teaching myself how to draw for years, so if this looks kind of bad, that's why.
Anyways, I obviously like it enough to share, so I am very proud of my work regardless.
That aside, I wanted to detail this story before sharing everything I did for it (I guess this'll be a short series about everything I drew for it).
A Fourth Dimension Reality is a series of books I'm writing about two inter-dimensional kids trying to find out what dimension they're actually apart of. Along the way, they meet other people who are integral to their goal. Each of these characters will be introduced as I go along.
Now, as for the real world logic, I wrote this story after me and that friend were talking about how some shows that are suppose to be comedy/satire lost that along the way.
So, I was determined to make a story where that stays intact even in the finale. Essentially, this is a long shit post that needs to be stopped, but it's still going well into five books with a unfinished total of 100k and seven books officially planned.
Each book ranges from 23k-30k and no book is any longer... yet
So, anyways, here's the actual cover of the first book (I have two more made).
Later on though I ended up drawing something goofy where all the characters find a dimension that does space tours. That was my excuse as to why they don't have shoes (because you don't want to get the dimension dirty do you?)
But this is everyone and presents their personalities pretty well. I'll showcase them separately over the next few days.
For now, this is perfect showcase of this story:
“So this means no one can hear me scream!” Cassie used all of her breath in that howl. Larson groaned and went to hit her, but she moved out of the way and spun slowly in the air. “I can dodge you better out here.” She mocked.
With a growl, Larson said, “this isn’t some kind of joke. We need to do what Jax said.”
“Yeah, yeah whatever.” She dismissed his comment. “We’ll get there eventually, let’s just have a little fun!”
Larson just stared at Cassie as she continued to spin around happily.
He was brought back to reality when he felt his phone vibrate. “Oh, I forgot,” he answered it swiftly, “you can hear me right?”
Back on Earth, Jax could clearly hear them through the phone. “I’m surprised that it even works! I really didn't think it would.” He said with amazement present in his voice.
“Yeah, doubt me, why don’t you.” Jax laughed at Larson’s remark. “But I’ll try a video call now.”
“Alright.”
Larson was about to press the button when he saw Cassie still spinning around in front of him; he sighed and turned on the video call. Once it came up, he saw a smile grow to Jax’s face.
“So it does work, great.” Jax paused. “Cassie!” He called out.
“Yeah?” She said while turning to look in their direction.
“The video call works.” Jax announced.
“Okay!” She began to slow her spinning down.
Cassie took out her own phone and called Jax once more. She put it on the video call and stuffed the phone inside of her bag. She zipped it closed and turned to Larson.
“Okay, I can see him, so that means we’re good! I’m screen recording so you guys can do whatever you have to.”
“You don’t have to tell me that,” Larson said.
Cassie huffed. “Stop being so mean. Anyways, we will Jax!” Cassie confirmed.
“Good luck you two!”
With their method of documentation set, they started putting their plan into action. Larson slowly moved over to Cassie.
“Stop acting like a kid and let’s get to work.” He snapped at her.
“You’re so boring. We’re in space dude! We can breathe without astronaut helmets, why not live a little, Lars?”
“Maybe on our next trip.” Larson went ahead and turned back once he was a small distance away from her.
From his jacket pocket, he pulled out the rope he brought. Needing to be as air resistant as possible, he couldn’t carry a bag with him, instead he just already tied the rope around himself and stuffed the other end into his jacket pocket. He pulled out the other end and threw it to Cassie for her to grab. Cassie caught it and was now being pulled by Larson.
Once she was in front of him, Cassie pulled him. Their motions created a way for them to move about in space with the most amount of ease. After a few minutes of their maneuvering, Cassie let out a sigh.
“See, this is all business,” Cassie said with a pout.
“Yeah, yeah. Looking like a bitch doesn’t help you.”
“At least you used the right word, but I wasn’t trying to give you puppy dog eyes.”
They remained pulling each other in a still silence. This was maintained until they could finally see Pluto. Cassie giggled as she stared at it.
“Oh it’s so cute!” She paused. “Do you really think anyone will be there?”
“I don’t know, but if we do find someone it would be better to stick together.”
“I wonder if it’s like a superman thing.” Cassie started to talk about something else. “Like we’re stronger because we were on Earth for so long.”
Larson scoffed. “If anything, being on earth made us weaker.”
“See, I don’t think like that,” Cassie began, “I really feel like we’re stronger because we’ve been exposed to different mindsets and then we’re going to learn this one. So by default, we’ll be smarter!”
“Always on the bright side huh?”
Cassie giggled.
Also, fun fact: I'm so bad at spelling I kept writing Dimension as Dimention and I still don't really know if I'm spelling it right😃
They kept pulling each other until they were caught into the gravitational pull of Pluto and were able to land...

Now, it's time to introduce the characters!
First up, is my main main character
Larson "has a last name but doesn't want to share it"
Larson is a young man who regularly hates people. At first he thought these were just his normal feelings, but he finds out it's actually because he's not even a human, so of course he hates humans!
Well, Larson hates everyone but humans have a special place at the top. His high school career has him spending most his time trying to find any information about his real species.
When his work is left stagnant, that's when he meets someone he didn't expect to.
Here's a scene to showcase his wonderful personality
At the moment, they were at lunch ready to discuss their ideas. Cassie was sitting at the lunch table with her plate full of foods that weren’t good for anyone, including herself. She wiped her hands clean of the bright orange grease from the pizza she finished and now, she was currently eating a sandwich from her lunch bag.
She munched on this food while Larson told her their best odds.
“I don’t know if you can hear me over all that noise you’re making, but if this is screwed up, I won’t think to leave you in a heartbeat.”
Cassie swallowed what she was eating and spoke. “You must really think I’m not in this the same way you are. Look, just because I’m not frowning and getting my big girl pants on doesn’t mean I’m not serious.”
“Could have fooled the hell out of me.” Cassie ignored that and moved her tray over to him. “Why?” Was all he said.
“I’m offering you some. You don’t eat at all, at least whenever I see you, you’re not.”
“Because we don’t get hungry often.”
“I know, but we still have to eat so why not just eat anyways?”
“I eat when I have to. Nothing more.” Larson stated.
Cassie snickered. “You must eat like a salad and some water huh?” Larson grabbed her wrist right before she was about to eat something causing Cassie to drop it. Her other hand grabbed it before she complained to him. “I must be right if you thought to do that.”
He let her hand go and rested his head in his hand. “You’re so fucking annoying.”
“Thank you!” Cassie returned to eating, but stopped suddenly and looked behind Larson.
He turned his head—curious by what she was looking at—and he saw a girl smiling at them both.
Larson groaned. “What do you want?” He turned back to face Cassie.
Cassie looked at the girl and offered her an apologetic smile.
“Uh, well, I wanted to invite you two to a party I’m throwing…” she trailed, “it’s kind of far from here so if you don’t have a ride-”
“We’re good,” Larson said cutting her off.
“B-but, you can bring each other if you want!” The girl pleaded.
Larson opened his eyes and looked at Cassie. Cassie just kept eating without saying a word. He then sighed and got up facing the girl.
“I know what kind of angle you’re trying to pull here, but I’m not interested in spilling my seed in some worthless being. Not even her,” he said pointing behind him at Cassie.
“Ew.” Cassie mumbled.
The girl's eyes widened. “I-I wasn’t asking you to-”
“Really?” The girl pressed her lips together to Larson's comment. “I mean besides the fact that you always stare at me, you’ve slept with pretty much half the school. So I must be next on the list, huh?”
The girl’s mouth opened and she just took off to the door of the cafeteria. Larson scoffed and sat back down.
Cassie stared at him for a while and eventually Larson let out a groan. “I’ll gouge your eyes out if you keep staring at me like that.”
Cassie clicked her tongue. “See? Like that.”
“What are you talking about now?” He was exhausted.
“You could have declined her in a more… human way.”
Larson watched as Cassie reached for more food. He sighed and spoke while putting his elbow up to rest on the table. “If I did that, then I’d be leading her on and I don’t have the slightest intention of doing that.”
“You wouldn’t be leading her on if you just said you’re not interested.”
“Yes I would. Humans always think there’s a chance for them to get one in just as long as you’re not taken.”
Cassie just shook her head, “speaking of which; not that I want that, but why aren’t I ‘worthy’ of your seed?” She then laughed at herself after saying that, Larson just stared at her. “Okay, I’m sorry, but I still want an answer.”
Larson sighed. “It’s pointless either way. So I told myself I’d never reproduce.” He simply stated.
“Why?”
“I just said why!” He grew agitated.
“Okay, maybe it’s pointless, but wouldn’t you want to see what a little you would look like?” She spoke happily at the idea.
“Yeah, my parents have baby pictures.”
“Boo, you’re no fun.”

Not so fun fact: That friend of mine told me Cassie was annoying and I should change it, someone else did as well and it made me sad (though I never told them that) but then I thought about other characters like this and realized they only thought she was annoying because she was a girl. Prime evidence: Spongebob from season 1-4 was "annoying" but we liked him for that. Also, they didn't find Larson in need for a change despite my intent to make him unbearably mean sooooo idk I think their bias was showing.
Fun fact: Larson gets some scars on his face at the end of the 1st book, so if I ever draw more, he's suppose to have scars, but I forgor sometimes.

Next character up is
Cassie Ann, the deuteragonist of the story.
She is an energetic young woman who tries her best to make everyone around her happy. Being a 4th Dimensional being just like Larson, she also is curious about her species and essentially forced Larson to let her help him.
She is very headstrong and has a hard time listening to others who aren't making sense. Despite this, Cassie is a sponge and any emotion anyone currently has, she usually feels it as well. This makes her grow empathetic towards even the worst of people. It doesn't cloud her judgement though and she will only help someone if she feels like it.
Cassie is going to be in every other scene I made because she's so friendly, she's involved in almost everything the group does. Cassie is made to be the catalyst for most everything that happens and if not for her, no one would even interact with each other.
P.S. the scenes she's in with the other characters aren't colored because 1. I'm too lazy, but also because I got tired of having to get the right colors every time I drew them. Then in 2023, I learned about color pallets 😶🌫️
I'm also thinking of this right as I'm about to post this, but she's the Deku to Larson's Bakugou lol.
Anyways, I was going to draw her in these different hair styles, but I decided just to have a mention that Cassie's hair is different throughout the story. She is black and I like to be realistic and not rude when it comes to making black people and their integral hairstyles :) Also this helps so people can relate to her a bit.
As for this form, this is something I haven't written, but clearly got the idea for. In the second book, the beings called Selestials are a species of rock people who are born through the energy of their earth. Because Cassie isn't a human, she's able to endure the process of this birth and ends up in this form!
This was also just "I'm a super big fan of my own work and wanted to see her in this form" so I ended up adding it in the story.
Here's a little scene for her:
Cassie made off as swiftly as possible, wasting no time when she was finally let go. As Cassie was walking around, she made sure the phone was still up and could see everything she was seeing. After her check, she took another look at her surroundings.
There’s nothing here! What am I even looking for?
Cassie looked out and could see all the other planets.
It was still a sight to behold. She was amazed at how beautiful the universe was and found herself thinking that they should visit other planets after this. She sighed, but right now we’re on a mission huh?
Cassie decided to keep walking and found nothing on the barren planet, so she picked up a rock and put it inside her bag to take home, but then she heard a noise. She suddenly turned… and saw nothing there.
“Lars?” She called out.
Nothing was to be heard, but she was sure she heard something. Cassie shook her head and resumed walking when the noise returned.
She didn’t turn around this time, but instead reached for the rock she collected. With it gripped in her palm, she waited until hearing the noise again; which she did. Quickly, she turned around and threw the rock as hard as she could in that direction.
The rock shot out just barely missing the one who was now behind her. This person stood with a smile on their face, unphased by the rock that almost hit him. He looked human, so Cassie thought they had to be like them.
Cassie thought this optimistically. “I’m sorry if I almost hit you with that… I thought you were my friend.”
“So that other one is with you?” He asked himself. “Then it’ll be easy to make quick work of you two. As long as you’re not together, this’ll be easy.”
His words were strange and they only caused Cassie to sigh when she realized what she may be in for.
Her optimism was squashed as she spoke. “Um… are you going to try and kill us?”
He chuckled. “Maybe not, if you decide to work with me and not against me.”
“To do what?”
“Destroy anyone who feels they can oppose me and make me the ruler of the entire universe!”
Cassie stared at him as he spoke. She sighed and walked over to a larger boulder she saw, she set her bag down and made sure the phone was angled perfectly.
“Are you abandoning your earthly possessions?” Asked the strange male.
“No, I just don’t want my phone to break when I attack you.”
“What are you-”
He was cut off when Cassie punched him square in the face. This sudden and intense impact caused him to fall to his knees. Cassie stood behind him and waited for him to lift his head up. She grabbed a fistful of his hair and spoke to him.
“I don’t know if you think you’re stronger than me…I mean, you might be, but much like I was against Lars, I can’t let you do whatever you want.” She stared down at him with a blank look on her face.
Her banter caused him to chuckle. “And why’s that? Because you fear the destruction of this world and everything in it?”
“No, I just don’t want to have to listen to someone who’s first line was getting rid of someone.”
The male found himself laughing even more now. He reached back to grab Cassie’s arm, he did so and Cassie stared at him with the her expression unchanged.
“Then we’ll have to see if you’re strong enough to stop me!”
She sighed to that. “Why couldn’t the first thing we found have been friendly?”
The man laughed and reached to strike Cassie…

Not- so-fun fact: this Cassie is pretty much the only one I have built like this. All my other Cassies are shy, anxious, and don't talk. I always love writing her this way, but, the person who review swapped with me said that Cassie had to have some kind of underdeveloped mental state because she frequently acted as a child would... when she's only seventeen. Again, I feel this was only said because she's a female.
Here's the second book's self-made cover!
The Crimson Soul is the start of the group discovering more of the world around them. Finding out things they otherwise would have to de research on.
The exploration in this book is specifically about one rift they encounter after scouring their town for any anomalies.
Here's an excerpt:
As the world around her changed into the Rift world, Cassie found herself still innocently interested in the entire place. In her mind this place looked-
“Like it was raining blood for days!" Her eyes went everywhere they could. "This is the kind of stuff you see in horror films or those dystopias!” She said to no one.
Cassie looked at her phone seeing that only two minutes had passed. She sighed and tried to occupy herself for the remainder of the time. As she was going to, she felt a slight vibration. “Hmm?”
The vibration turned into full on shaking and when she looked up, her eyes were covered by a shadow. She held her hand above her eyes in order to see better and there she saw the figure of a giant staring down at her.
“Well, don’t you look mad?”
This large being made no effort to respond to her comment. As it towered over her, Cassie remained looking up at it.
“Creature. What brings you here? Are you the one who has been here before?”
Cassie nodded. “I’m here for a little… I don't know what it's called." Cassie paused for a while and thought about the right word.
The beast spoke at that time. “So that means you’re the one who came and kept my people from killing that human?”
Cassie didn't speak for a bit and the beast began to get impatient.
“Damn, I can't think of the word, but yeah I did do that." She looked up. “With that commanding tone you have, my guess is you’re Sarkon… right?” Cassie assumed.
“Sekon, you insolent creature!” Cassie smiled a bit. “With your insolence, do you believe you’re going to get out of here alive now?”
“Not really… well, at least I know you think you’re going to kill me, but hear me out.”
“Why should I? What’s stopping me from just crushing you into our fertile crust?”
“Because you’re looking for challengers, right?”
Sekon paused, but eventually spoke. “…that’s correct.”
“Then I’ll fight you!”
“Willingly? You aren’t looking for some kind of bargain to hold over my head?”
“Of course not, I’m honorable.”
Sekon laughed at her. “Besides me taking a liking to your blunt nature. I am bored and am in need of some entertainment.”
“I’m sure you are, but do we have a deal?”
“Yes, we do.”
“Okay, but hopefully you actually wait for a fair fight 'cause right now I’m a bit distracted. It won’t be much fun to crush me if I’m not going all out.”
“You are correct. Whatever it is you’re doing should be finished before tomorrow. You have my word that I won’t attack you before then.”
Cassie pursed her lips. “I know I probably shouldn’t trust you, but eh, whatever. I’ll be back here tomorrow and I’ll even have someone else who might be interested in fighting you as well!” Cassie's voice was chipper as she spoke.
Sekon chuckled. “Use whatever you need. I know you will not beat me.” Cassie smiled up at him "But do understand what you are losing when I win."
Her brows furrowed in confusion. “Okay, not sure what that is, but I’ll be thinking about it I guess.” Cassie was about to go past him, when she realized. “Oh, you mean my life!” Sekon seemed at a loss for words. “Yeah, for sure, I’m worried about my life and losing it or whatever.”
Sekon watched her for a bit, as Cassie seemed to be mumbling to herself as she walked off. Sekon watched her for a while longer as she carried on. He couldn’t help the amused feeling he got from her…
Cassie groaned to herself as she walked the streets. “Why the hell am I so stupid? How’d I not know he was talking about ending my life?” She sighed and tried to move on...
Fun Fact: this whole book takes place in this dimension and I liked making Sekon a lot because of the relationship he has with Cassie. Also, Cassie says his name wrong because of two reasons. 1. because she thinks his name should have been Sarkon, and 2. because I kept forgetting which name I actually picked, so instead of taking it out, I simply added it in the story!

Jax Barmen!
He's a super cute cutie and aside from his role in the story being related to the researcher who initially discovered 4th Dimensional beings (no, that's not a big deal in the story). Jax serves as the groups researcher.
He's extremely intelligent and enjoys theoretical research. Being a senior in high school, he has plans to go off to college and become a theoretical scientist.
Jax is also the pretty/popular boy of the school. Everyone loves him because he's personable and friendly. Jax is my sweet boy who tries his best to make sure the girls and women around him are taken care of and comfortable, and anyone else is met with nothing but kindness. I don't even think it's possible for him to even have bad thoughts.
Jax is also kind of the dad of the group being able to settle everyone down when they're feeling stressed or anxious about something. Outside of that, Jax often is the reasonable one of the group being able to make rational decisions and account for what they should or shouldn't be doing.
I actually just made this drawing randomly and it's not based on the excerpt. Here, Jax and Cassie are essentially having a sleep over where Jax is going to teach her something she's interested in. They're so cute too, they're suppose to he wearing matching PJs ☺
Also, his hair is different because I'm very bad at drawing 😄
Here's a snipit of him!
It was now silent in the car, Jax got to a stop light and spoke to the pair.
“You guys are arguing about this? Have either of you thought about the actual situation?”
Larson looked at Jax. “You must want to die.” Larson threatened. “I am thinking about the situation.”
“No, you’re only thinking about disagreeing with Cassie because you believe she’s wasting our time. You have yet to say any kind of idea you have.”
Larson looked off and let out an audible sigh.
Cassie smiled. “Yeah, at least I’m trying to come up with something!”
Jax looked back at Cassie. “And you are deciding things without concern about consequence.”
Cassie shrunk under his voice. “But I-”
“I know, Cassie, you think this will be good. So I have to ask you, why is it good?”
Cassie sat back. “Because… we’ll get to have allies if we help them?”
“That’s a good reason, but here you miss a major point—we could also find out more about rifts. If they know things we don’t then it’ll only benefit us, but at what cost?”
Cassie was going to say something, but remained quiet.
So Jax continued. “We don’t know if they’re stronger than you guys and they very well might be. So maybe next time just say you have a good idea and we can go from there…” Cassie pressed her lips together. “And Lars, maybe don’t doubt Cassie for every little thing she does. Have some faith in her gut choices and listen to her suggestions, but I agree with your concern. This might be a huge waste of time, but I believe we’ll get something out of it and that’s worth the risk.”
The silence continued after he finished talking. The frustrated pair sat with his words without a single retort. Eventually, when the light turned green, Jax started to drive again.
Larson let out a sigh and spoke. “Besides sounding like a parent who’s scolding his children, you…have a point,” Larson began, “but what are we even going to get from this?”
“As I said, we may be able to learn more about rifts. As well as other species that might exist within them.” Jax stated calmly.
Larson sighed. “Fine, we’ll consider taking this guy down…”
“Alright, we’ll go from there.” With that Jax ended the conversation...
Next post
Fun fact: his design still isn't what I want, but it's close enough that I'm willing to settle for this. Jax also does his own hair and at one point, I added a scene where Cassie doesn't know how to give herself cornrows and Jax helps her 😊

Next up is one of the secondary characters who is introduced after she's kidnapped by a cult (and no, this isn't anything major in the story lol).
Mandy Modesta
She is also a senior and spend most of her time at school dating. Mandy is very pretty and has always attracted male attention, she didn't start seriously dating until she was seventeen where her behavior stems from a desire to be loved.
Because of this, Mandy is pansexual and actually loves anyone in whatever form they come in. This even extends to the creatures she encounters inside of rifts.
Mandy has an unnatural ability to find the group no matter where they are and this is what leads to her eventually joining! Within the group, Mandy helps them find things they otherwise wouldn't be able to. Her and Cassie get along very well because Cassie loves to be loved and Mandy loves to love.
The scene below is when Cassie is being presumed by a guy who wants to date her and Mandy does her best to protect Cassie.
Unfortunately, Mandy officially doesn't show up until the fourth book, so there's not really full defining moments for her yet.
So, she'll be the exception and I'll detail a bit I have planned for her!
Despite her being very sexualized, I intend to build her character in a way where we find out why she's like this. Of course I won't spoil what it is exactly, but it does have something to do with her family.
Because of this, her and Cassie are suppose to form an even stronger bond with each other since they both share similar feelings, but about different things.
Also, my girls also have more impactful plots as Cassie has a subplot with her feelings about how people treat her. Similar to Mandy, they bond over that feeling at some point in the story.

Fun fact: when I first designed her, I happened to be very interested in 'baddies' so Mandy's attire is based on what typical Insta baddies wear.
Note: if anyone's curious as to why I didn't share the 3rd book, it's because it has sensitive topics and unless some expresses interest in seeing it, I don't wanna add to the millions of other sensitive topics on the internet.
But, now it's time for the last member of the group.
Gast doesn'thavealastnamebecausespoliers
Gast is a very shy boy who seems to have no presence. When he's at school, he's frequently ignored where people don't even notice he's standing right in front of them. He doesn't mind that since he's a worried, anxious, and shy young man.
Being a new student, no one really even knows who he is either. However, he ends up seeing the group when they're exiting a rift and after seeing other strange events like this, asks the group if he could be protected by them.
Cassie is extremely willing to help him out and he joins the group!
Because of his low presence, they often use Gast to get things they would otherwise be seen trying to obtain. Gast is also very sensitive to emotions and because of that has a fear of animals since they're more emotion based than humans or other species.
Here's an excerpt of my boi:
*A/n: he goes by Abel when he's first introduced*
Neither Cassie nor Larson were very concerned about the individual, but they felt differently about how to handle him having seen them.
Jax was more level headed and tried to think of the situation as rationally as he could.
“You g-guys are freaks!” The boy started to breathe very heavily. Taking in audible, quick, and deep breaths while holding his chest.
“Woah, calm down…” Jax tried to ease him. “Can you tell us your name at least?”
His eyes shut tight, but he spoke. “A-abel…” He seemed to be getting worse with his erratic breathing and unsteady feet.
Jax continued his efforts and told him to sit down. Abel now sat inside Jax’s car while catching his breath.
The trio then moved to stand around him. With how everything seemed, they needed to make a decision sooner rather than later. However, that wasn't going to happen while the boy remained in his state of distress.
Cassie stayed a bit away from him in order to give him some breathing room and no one said anything. They let him calm down and soon he seemed to be getting better.
At this, Cassie spoke up. “Are you good now?”
“A bit better…” He managed to say. “But that’s all.” He paused looking up. “B-but, still, can you guys tell me what’s g-going on?”
“What do you mean by that?” Larson asked.
“Like, you guys going into that… thing o-over there and coming out like two minutes later!”
“It was really two minutes?” Cassie turned and asked Jax.
Jax smiled. “That’s a good base to start with, but I’d still like to get a real timer and make a proper conversion.”
“What are you guys talking about?” Abel asked.
“Nothing, but if you’re really curious, answer my question first and you’ll get your answer?” Larson said. Abel said nothing and he went on. “Why did you follow us?”
Abel took a small pause and lowered his head slightly. “While you’re right that I was kind of… s-stalking you guys. I only was because you guys turned down that girl who’s been bothering me!”
“You mean that kind of promiscuous girl?” Cassie spoke.
Larson scoffed. “I think you mean a slu-”
“I’ll kill you if you say that Lars.” He clicked his tongue and didn’t speak. “But her?” Cassie asked, returning her attention to Abel.
“Yeah… her name is Mandy and ever since I got here, she won’t leave me alone.” He let out an uncomfortable moan. “She finds me wherever I am, no matter how hard I try to avoid her. On that day when you guys were with your dog in the park, she found me there as well! Then, I saw you guys talking and she left and hasn't bothered me since then.” He explained. “I just kind of… want that to continue.” His voice dropped off by the end.
“Why?” Jax asked.
“Because! I-I just don’t want people getting too c-close to me… I-I’m not the type of person who likes a lot of attention, I just wanna be left alone...” His voice trailed as he went on and his head dropped with every word.
“But we’re fine?” Larson seemed unconvinced.
Abel tried to defend himself. “I-it’s a lot better than having a g-girl who n-never knows when to leave you alone,” Abel said, “p-plus, like I said; I saw you guys go in that thing and… and that's not the weirdest thing I’ve seen since I got here! I saw a guy lift up a boulder with o-one finger and I figured he was just like you guys and I-” He began to breathe heavily again.
Cassie crouched down and gave him a soft smile. “Hey, you don’t have to tell us, okay?” He looked at her. “I can believe you, and I think I know what you’re asking of us.”
“Huh?” Abel said as Cassie returned to standing normally.
“You want to be our friend!” Everyone just stared at her. “I know you all are staring at me like I’m crazy, but screw all of you ‘cause I know I’m right.” She snapped at their silence. “Whether you like it or not, the only way we can protect you from all these dangerous things going around is for you to be our friend.” Cassie turned back and gave the biggest smile she could to Jax and Larson. “Alright?”
“I should be impressed,” Larson said, “it only took you seconds to decide something this time.”
“See? I’m getting better aren’t I?”
“More like worse.”
Cassie frowned. “What did you say?”
Cassie and Larson began to bicker while Jax just returned to Abel. “Do you mind accepting her offer? Cassie’s a hard one to turn down.”
Abel’s eyes fixed on them, he felt himself calm down seeing as how none of them were totally fixated on him. “I don’t know if I should trust you guys yet or not.”
Jax smiled. “At the very least, if Cassie says it, it’s a given. So if she wants you to be her friend, then it means we all agree.”
Abel looked up at Jax before letting out a sigh. “I’m… alright being friends with you all… that is if I really can?”
Jax smiled. “Like I said, it’s a given if Cassie says so.” Jax then looked up in thought. “But I would’ve waited if I were you.”
Abel's eyes widened. “H-huh? Why?”
Jax laughed. “I’m kidding.”
Abel let out a sigh and relaxed as the pair went on arguing...

Fun fact: Gast's hair style is based on Belphie's from Obey Me! I didn't intend for that, but after I made it, I realized they were too similar to be coincidence.
