Player Who Returned 10,000 Years Later-webcomic

I love to see it when the main character is a strat up bad person and they know it. I think this has a lot of what RETURN OF THE MOUNT HUA SECT has, “helping” others so that they (the mc) can get closer to their goals. The powers that he does keep after returning i think they call them authorities or rights, as they are very different then the skills that they use on earth. The way that the worlds seem to be encroaching on each other is kind of an ass pull. But it makes sense with the rules we learn a bit later.

Bubble-podcast

Welcome to Fairhaven, a literal Bubble of corporate utopia set amid the wild, goblin-infested Brush. The first scripted comedy series from Maximum Fun, Bubble was created by Jordan Morris, and tells the tale of a small band of monster killers struggling to make ends meet and find love in a nightmarish version of the gig economy I don't think this podcast is that good, maybe it's just not for me but there's a lot that I think they fall flat on like the folks that live outside the bubble, the history of the world. It feels rather slapped together with a lot of cool things that do not fit together. This is “The first scripted comedy series from Maximum Fun” so i dont think they are a place made to make scripted content as all the stuff i have seen from them is not scripted.

Nito’s Guide to the Parallel World - manga

by Joryu Romero

Hidako Masamune is a high school student who suffers from continuous bullying by his classmates. Becoming tired of it all, he decides to commit suicide, but instead he is transported to another world along with all his classmates. When they arrive, they find that they now possess amazing abilities but he was only granted the status of a "healer," the weakest skill of all. The king decides to get rid of him by transporting him to another faraway place, but not before Hidako swears revenge against the king, the kingdom, and all of his classmates.

i realy like the art for this comic, its simpel but its got a bit of twang. i like the idea of his abilaty of reversing magic and what that means for the world at large. most of the time in my opeon storys like this get stuck on trying to make the main chariter fit in the world, this comic does not do that, he does hide him self but he does not become a large part of the world makeing or selling things like in other kicked out dudes

Impact winter

More than a decade after a comet strike has inflicted an "impact winter" and blacked out the sun, vampires have emerged in the darkness to take over what remains of the world. Humans have fled underground, clinging to an existence that feels increasingly doomed. One vampire hunter, a young woman named Darcy, is lured from her bunker beneath an ancient castle by a powerful vampire overlord and thrust into a fight for her people's future.

There are a lot of interesting things in this podcast but I feel that it falls short of my expectations as it falls into the trap other vampire centric shows into. And that trap is that they try to show vampire society but they stay there way too long (also human romance with a monster has no interest to me if it is not gay). I don't care about how crazy strong and how much influence they have, they are a force, show the things they affect.

autocorrect and the record

I read “Autocorrect” by Ellen Xu and listened to “The Record” by Boygenius, and I think that doing this it has uplifted both autocorrect and the record and made them better in my eyes. Both are about connections with others and wanting to be with them.

In Autocorrect, Ellen speaks about her relationship with her father. Their relationships began to strain from the stress of her father living in another country to work, all the way in China. She talks about how sad and angry she is from her father's choice, and how all the promises he made are now null and void. She says

“I just had my first driving lesson today and don’t you remember promising me years ago that you would be the one to teach me to drive”

This line hit me like a hurricane hits a straw house.

The first song on The Record “Without You Without Them” is about how the singer would not be the same person without their partner's parents but their grandparents.

“Thank your father before you

His mother before him

Who would I be without you, without them?”

This shows what to know about another person to not only know them but their history, they thank their partner's ancestors, saying they would not be the same person without them. Later in the song they speak about the want to be known and to know someone else

“Speak to me, speak to me, speak to me

Until your history's no mystery to me”

“I want you to hear my story and be a part of it”

Both speak of a want to understand the other to be close to them, the want to know them. With the record, it’s the want to be known and know, with Autocorrect it is the want to be with someone and share a history. Both of these texts have similar themes and that is why i think they bring out the best in each other, like players in a game of basketball when alone they can work but when together they will win.
