So I'm rewatching OBX before the new season.

Ward, takes responsibility for what Rafe did AS HE SHOULD because Ward is a huge ass part of the reason why Rafe is like he is and then we have Rose.

" You do not bare responsibility for what Rafe does." No no, you're right, Rose. YOU should bare some of that shit too. Wanna know why? Because something tells me you are just as harsh, just as belittling, just as much of a bitch to Rafe as his own father has been. I bet you didn't even try to act like a mother figure, you just ridiculed all the kids for even breathing. You don't give me nurturing step-mom vibes. You give me "I'm here because the husband is hot and he's got money" vibes. You are a trophy wife who gets the benefits of a trophy wife and the kids? They ain't your problem so you ain't going to do shit that would require you to be proactive.

Not unless it benefits your botoxed ass. Clearly with her telling Ward how he has to play a part here she's probably more of a mastermind than Ward.

Ward is still a piece of shit though. Both of them suck.

... Am I saying Rafe isn't to blame? Naw, there is blame on his part as well of course. But he is clearly a case of nature verses nurture and he was not nurtured.

I will never agree with the things Rafe has done, but I get it. Naw, I never attacked anyone though, just had really violent dreams about people. I'm a crier. My "secret" shame.

I grew up in a house where when I asked for help, I was told I didn't need it. Same with my brother. It took him snapping to get help, and did he get it for more than a weekend? No. He didn't. And I'm just now getting help that I need as an adult without the help of my family. And I even heard the disappointment in my mother's voice when I mentioned I'm in therapy now.

I mean y'all, my grandma told me I had no reason to be depressed and that was literally after viewing my dad's dead body. So, you can imagine how much I relate.

Being told to suck it up. Being told "I'll give you something to cry about." Being hit for showing emotions that are considered over the top or considered back-talk.

Yeah, I fucking get it. I'm getting too deep on this blog, I'm not sorry for it either.

She swears to not speak of his random good deed and he smirks at her for a moment, then he looks back to the road. She's not that bad, but to let anyone know that he can be a good guy would brake the facade that he's got going. The only one who knows he can be a softie sometimes is Wheezie and yeah, he'd like to keep it that way most of the time. There are just some things better left to mystery.

As a girl that had been raised middle class bordering on poor during the lean times, Georgie had little in common with the wealthy crowd her cousin regularly surrounded himself with. Though she lived on the North side of the island with her uncle’s family, the petite surfer could honestly say she had never really taken to the Thorntons’ way of life. Perhaps that made her a Pogue at heart, but…

Well, Georgiana didn’t actually like them. They were all larger than life in a way that bordered on obnoxious. Even if Topper hadn’t actively hated them, Georgie would have steered clear anyway. Maybe you couldn’t judge a book by its cover, but she’d read enough of the summary to know they were trouble. And trouble was the absolute last thing she needed while living under her aunt’s roof.

Yet here she was accepting a ride from Rafe Cameron, one of the most infamous figures on the island, anyway. “Don’t worry, Cameron. I won’t tell anyone about your random good deed,” she quipped with the barest hint of a smile, voice quiet but playful. “The secret’s safe with me.”

If she wants him all to herself - he'll accept it. He doesn't need the boys approval. Hell, even if Topper were to talk shit about this situation Rafe would have a few things to say about it. He's happy with his arms around her like this.

❝ I love you too.❞ he replies as he nuzzles against her hand.

The boys can shut up, they don't know Rafe like she does. They don't really know him at all. Maybe if they gave him a chance. . . But then again, she wanted him all to herself. . . "I do." She smiles and kisses him again. "And you're my guy, who I love." A gentle hand rests upon his cheek as she looks up at him. "I love you."

Finishing up Season 4 ( first half ) and I've got ideas. I've got a wishlist. I've got plot bunnies.
