Dyed At The Stalk
Dyed at the Stalk
In which Tim is a smooth boy for once and it turns into a traditon.
“So tell me, what kind of flower did he give you yesterday?” Stephanie leaned back against the counter, smiling.
"A blue phalaenopsis orchid. Apparently it matches my eyes.“ She heard her friend giggle.
Stephanie works part time at her aunt’s floral shop and things had been pretty dull. The smell of all the flowers were too sickeningly sweet smelling, the costumers far too picky, and she had to learn how to tell flowers apart by glance, so she is prepared for any question.
One day, she had been opening up the store when an utterly gorgeous blue eyed guy walked in. He wandered around a bit, and Stephanie set to start playing her favorite game. Guess what each costumer wanted when they walked in. For blue eyed hottie, she guessed girlfriend. There was no way some one as attractive as him would not have a girlfriend.
The boy, she found out, was incredibly polite with her. He never tried to “get some” with her as other obnoxious guys have, nor did he snap at her. That only rectified her earlier statement. Charming and hot? There was no way he wasn’t snapped up by girls.
The hottie seemed to have made his decision, picked out a single flower, and walked it up to her. He silently payed for the flower, and to her surprise, reached across the counter and tucked it behind her ear. Her cheeks flushed, and the hottie smirked before walking out.
Everyday since, he’s been walking in and buying a flower for her. They never exchanged words, and she still doesn’t know his name, yet she feels a connection to him.
A smile played onto her lips as she hung up the phone. It was almost time for him to come, and start the routine all over again.

Subway
For the next three weeks I may be inactive, because I am going to a vacation spot that I’m unsure has wifi. Until I reach that location, I must assume there is no wifi. So here is a goodbye fic for you all.
At first glance, the five people approaching the subway seem normal. Second and third glances don’t change that fact. It’s only when people start observing that they start noticing different things.
For one, the only female (as well as blond) argues with the youngest a lot, and seems to have tension with the second shortest.
The tallest one has a white streak in his hair, and the second tallest was always smiling, always laughing.
The third tallest one is observing everything with intelligent eyes, and the shortest one is scowling at everyone and everything.
But there still isn’t something too odd about them. What people don’t realize, is that these five were all once the second half of the dynamic duo. The smallest one (Damian) still is. Some of the terms were brief and ended badly (Stephanie and Jason) and some of the terms stretched over quite a few years (Dick and Tim). But once in their vigilante careers, they were Robin.
They have just came back from a little Robin get together, and had decided to show Damian the experience of riding a subway (“You’ve never rode a subway?” “Tt.”)
Stephanie couldn’t help but still feel like an odd one out as she watched Jason, Dick, Tim, and Damian interact. She could never truly be one of them. Things between her and Tim were awkward at best, Dick still disapproved of her becoming Batgirl, Jason didn’t know her, nor did he want to, and Damian was focusing in Dick. He only paid attention to her when Dick wasn’t around.
The subway came and people quickly hogged up seats until all that was left was a four seater. Maybe the boys had forgotten about her (it wouldn’t be the first time today) or maybe they were purposely ignoring her, but in the end, Steph was left out without a seat.
But she was far too tired to argue and it was only three more stops till it was hers, and she could just wait it all. She just sat on the ground, wrapped a hand around the pole, and rested her head on it. If she had kept her eyes on the boys, she would have noticed that they were now looking at her, silently debating.
She would have noticed how pointed looks were sent Tim’s direction, would’ve notice Tim sigh before leaning over.
What she did notice was Tim picking her up (when did he have the muscles to just lean over and pick her up?) and just place her gently on his lap.
And Steph was still too tired to argue so she just leaned her head onto his chest, closed her eyes, and fell asleep listening to his heartbeat.
She was awaken when his same arms lifted her up and carried her off the subway, eyes widening when he acknowledged her awakening and not set her down, eyes closing again when she let sleep take over.
Blonde
Hello! I’m rather new here, and this was really just a drabble I had lying around…
It’s not really good, there probably will be errors, but I just wanted to post this. It’s a Timsteph AU were Tim and Steph haven’t met yet, and will meet as Red Robin and Batgirl. I would admit the ending was very rushed. I will be making some kind of sequel where they actually meet though.
Part 2
Tim Drake has heard of her. Oh of course he had. He didn’t know anyone who hasn’t heard of the new blond Batgirl. Not much was known about her really. Only that she was new and she was good.
There was, of course, her brief stint as Spoiler, spoiling all of her father’s plans, but she soon disappeared and everyone thought her dead.
Then Batgirl appeared and there were no connections drawn, except by him. But that’s natural. After all, Tim Drake was, is nothing if not perceptive.
And he looked forward to finally seeing her on the streets as he patrolled, so he can finally get a judge of her character.
After all, her performance as Spoiler has left much to be desired, driven by rage and revenge and basically no skills what so whatever. However, Oracle has told him that the Birds of Prey has helped train her, and she was much, much better now. And he trusted Barbara’s judgement.
So as he patrolled the streets of Gotham, he kept an eye out for the blond female bat.
Failed Infiltration
Hint, I may have already written part 2, 3,4,5 and 6 to this and I MIGHT post them, but hey who knows.
So I love y'all and I wish you all a happy day and if it’s your birthday today happy birthday (Demi Lovato I’m looking at you) and I hope you enjoy!)
Stephanie Brown examined her new partner in interest. Tall, strong, and very broody, glaring at everyone and everything. This was the one the League of Assassins assigned as her partner?
His fashion sense was horrible, and his cowl looked utterly ridiculous. What did Ra’s even see in him?
Her costume is more tasteful, with dark purple, and a full face mask. Purple contacts covered her usual blue eyes, and her hood on her cloak was up. Definitely more fashionable than Mr. Dark and Broody over there.
However, she couldn’t deny that he had more toys and was well trained, evident from the way he moved.
“So whatcha call yourself?” She said casually, as to not provoke him anymore than she already has. Early she poked fun at his costume and was pinned with a glare that would’ve made a lesser whimper. But Stephanie was no lesser, and the glare was nothing more than a passing itch. Still, it wouldn’t be productive for there to be hostilities between them on their first mission.
“Red Robin.” He said shortly.
“He talks!” She announced dramatically. “Hey, wait isn’t there a little urchin running around in Gotham dressed in traffic light colors calling himself Robin?”
“Shouldn’t you be less talkative?” He seemed tense at all the questions.
“And word on the street is,” she continues,“the urchin is the Lady’s son.” By now Red Robin is definitely annoyed, trying to glare daggers into her. So much for not pissing him off.
“And who are you?” He says, sounding quite emotionless despite his obvious agitation. She was impressed. It was not easy to accomplish such an emotionless voice, especially when one is angry.
“Orchid.”
“The Amethyst Killer?” He asked. She watched him shift and examine her with a new interest. “Shiva’s favorite and most prized apprentice?” Stephanie nodded.
“I expected you to be… More professional.” Her head snapped over. Did he just accuse her of being unprofessional? How dare he insult her in such a way? This time, it was Orchid’s turn to glare coldly onto him.
“At least I don’t look like I have a condom head.” She snapped before mentally gasping. How could she lose her cool?
Orchid took her eyes off Red Robin, and suddenly leapt forward as their targets appeared.
They could bond later, right now she had a job to do. Young Justice was not going to mess with the Light’s meeting. Not this time. Not with her around.
Two Peas in a Pod
A year of Bricktotheface, a year of this blog. Thank you to everyone who have read, and hopefully enjoyed, my stories. This is the second medieval au that none of you asked for.
War had weathered all of them, Tim noticed. A war with another country was bad. A war within your own country was worse.
But that’s what’s happening in the kingdom of Gotham, as the insane stood themselves up and informed the royals they intended to rule.
He watched King Bruce bear it out for a while, before finally conceding to Richard’s pleas on asking for assistance.
He reached out to the sister kingdom Bludhaven, to the twin queens Dinah and Barbara. Negotiations for an alliance were to begin.
Tim will admit, Bludhaven was a smart tactical choice. They had an infamous, elusive group of independent elite soldiers, as well as multiple connections. Queen Dinah herself was betrothed to King Oliver of the Starling Kingdom, and the soldiers were a force to be reckoned with, part of the royal family themselves. Their army was astounding too. They didn’t tell him much, only that the alliance was going to come in the form of a betrothal.
He saw Richard’s worried eyes and panicked. Bruce wouldn’t marry his heir out would he? Not when he promised them all a chance for true love that he had received himself.
Tim worried as the date that one of the soldiers would arrive came closer and closer…
Until the day came.
“Knight Brown requests entry to negotiate alliances between the kingdom of Bludhaven and the sister Gotham,” A herald announced, nervousness shown as he is face to face with the royal family of the dark Kingdom.
“Send him in.” Bruce commanded.
“But Your Majesty-”
“Send him in.”
Richard sends a look toward Bruce, a reminder to be kind, and Jason stops lounging, sitting straight up. Tim too, was curious as too what the knight looked like.
They were stunned when the a blonde in dark armor walks in, purple accents showing her rank. Not him. Her.
Jason’s eyes are bugging out, Richard’s eyebrows raised, and Bruce’s lips thinned. Tim just stares.
She was beautiful.
The woman drops into a graceful curtesy. Tim wonders if an angel from Heaven itself has decided to come down and greet them. Bruce dips his head in greeting, and they all get up, bowing to the princessknightsoldier representative from Bludhaven. He can see Bruce’s disapproval all through the polite negotiations and finds himself shocked. The knight was perfect, how dare he disapprove. Tim barely pays attention, eyes lingering on the woman as she talks, barely keeping a straight face when she flashes a smile at him.
She was radiant.
Tim wonders if she would be the one for him. He resolved to do his best to get to know her, have her get to know him.
She smiles a lot. Her face lights up when she smiles. She’s delightful. She makes funny remarks. She’s everything they hoped for. She’s everything they needed. She’s everything they wanted.
She’s absolutely amazing.
He kisses her hand softly when they’re introduced. He straightens up-
And forgets where he was. Her eyes, they were stunning, sparkling, amazing. Right there and then, he decides to court her.
Write Your Name (Across My Heart)
Stephanie was three years old when her mother lifted her hair up and screamed.
She couldn’t tell if it was from delight, surprise, or horror.
Crystal Brown had shakily smiled, patted her hair down, and told her she was too pretty to wear her hair up. It had taken her another five years to see why her mother was so shaken.
When Stephanie Brown was eight years old she made her first bun. She turned to appreciate her work and was met with Timothy Drake written neatly across the nape of her neck.
Later, she searched Timothy Drake up, and was greeted with thousands of results.
When she was fourteen, she broke up with Dean, because Dean was not Timothy Drake.
She wondered if Timothy Drake thought of her as much as she thought of him.
When she was fifteen, Spoiler met Robin, and her heart skipped a beat. He was absolutely perfect. She wondered if he was her Timothy Drake.
She was disappointed to find out he was only Alvin Draper.
When Stephanie was 16, her Robin stint had come and gone, and Leslie found out about Timothy Drake.
She didn’t talk to Stephanie for three days.
When Stephanie Brown was sixteen, she was Batgirl, and Barbara Gordon finds out about Timothy Drake.
Stephanie had swept her hair to the side, so Barbara could examine a wound when she heard Barbara breathe in sharply. After that, Barbara had stayed quiet, bandaging up her cut.
Stephanie Brown is 17 and it’s time for the batfamily group training session. It’s going to get sweaty so she tips her head forward for her ponytail and everyone stops talking and what?
And then Red Robin is in front of her and everyone else is gone and he was pulling his cowl down and he’s pulling up his sleeve and-
Oh.
“Hi. I’m Timothy Drake.”
