25 Days of Christmas Challenge
Prompt: Day 2 - Going Shopping for Presents Together
Authors Note - As you can tell from the name of this blog, and if you follow my main, V is my main bias. So rather than writing separate time/member oneshots, I’ve decided to turn this challenge into a continual Christmas story :) Also, I know I haven’t been uploading each prompt on the actual date, but I do plan on finishing each one eventually :)

“So we’ve bought for Seokjin, Namjoon, Jimin, and your sister, we just now need to buy for Yoongi, Hoseok, Jeongguk, your brother and both our parents” I said aloud looking through the list on my phone. Taehyung and I were sat in a booth in the shopping centre starbucks (our mission to try all the festive drinks this year), enjoying a break from our Christmas shopping. “Have you got any ideas on what to get your brother?”
I noticed he was absently staring out the window “Tae?”
"I can’t wait until that’s us” he said randomly.
I followed his gaze to the outside window. As is done every year, the shopping centre had set up a small festive display of fake trees, animatronic reindeer and a crazy amount of warm coloured fairy lights. Within the area, children were lining up to meet Santa, one child currently sat upon his lap, surely listing a range of toys he hoped he had been good enough to receive on Christmas morning.
I looked towards Taehyung, his lips turned up into a small smile before turning to meet my eyes. When I didn’t answer he continued to explain further “taking our own kids to meet Santa.”
“You think about that?” I asked shyly.
“Of course” he said proudly, which quickly turned to embarrassment “don’t you?”
Of course I did. It wasn’t long after we started dating that I would picture what a future with Taehyung would be like. I knew he wanted a big family, and he knew how much I loved kids and wanted to be a mother. However, this was the first we had ever spoke about future children between us.
“I do. A lot” I smiled. “Christmas would definitely be more magical.
“We could get their photo taken with Santa. Even a family one, and send it to all our friends and family” Taehyung said “and spoil them with so many presents.”
I laughed, shaking my head “They definitely would be the most spoiled child at Christmas. Especially with you as their father!”
“But we would also do so many family things, like picking out a Christmas tree and decorating it just the three of us, holding up our child so they could put the star on top at the end... Putting them to bed on Christmas Eve, while we lay out milk and cookies for Santa, seeing their face in the morning when they realise he’s visited... Sitting around the Christmas tree in our pyjamas opening presents”
I smiled at the scene Taehyung was painting, a Christmas as a little family “I hope you know that nothing would make me happier” I smiled.
We both looked towards the children meeting Santa, just as a young couple, not much older than us, were at the front of the line. We watched as the dad placed their baby on Santa’s knee, the parents kneeling down next to them and putting their arm around each other. The woman taking the photo started shaking a small bell, in order to gain the baby’s attention for the photo. At the sound of the chiming, the baby began to giggle, and the photo was taken. At that moment I saw what could easily become my future. Taehyung must have thought the same thing, as I suddenly felt his hand reach over and grab mine.
“I can’t wait to start a family with you” he said.
***
“Do you want to call it a day?” I asked Taehyung, after we finally found a present for his younger brother. We still needed to buy something for both his and my parents, but having already spent the whole day shopping for everyone else exhaustion had finally hit us.
“Yeah. Do you want to meet me in the car though?” he began handing over the shopping bags to me “I just saw something - yes it’s a present for you” Taehyung said as I tried to interject “I just really want to get it now”
“Alright, I’ll meet you in the car”
***
I had finished packing the car with our gifts, and was only scrolling on my phone for around five minutes when Taehyung returned. He wasn’t carrying a bag, but one of his pockets was slightly larger than the other.
“No peeking” he smirked.
As we drove back to our shared apartment, my curiosity eating at me, wondering what sort of gift Taehyung needed to buy today.

Christmas with Taehyung
25 Days of Christmas Challenge
Prompt: Day 23 - Driving Home for Christmas Day 24 - Going to Bed Christmas Eve Day 25 - Waking up Christmas Morning
Authors note - This is very late, but it’s finally the last in my 25 Days of Christmas with Taehyung!
I’ve written the interactions with Taehyung’s family in English, and obviously they would speak Korean. I don’t speak Korean, so it was much easier for me to write something that flowed if it was in English. But just pretend that it’s translated from a Korean conversation hahah :)
Also, if you haven’t read Day 1 and Day 2 yet, I suggest reading those first, as they are linked to this ending :)

“This is the last of it” I announced to Taehyung as I passed him two large containers of food to put in the boot of the car, along with our suitcases and a box full of presents. It was the morning of Christmas Eve, and finally time to drive the 3 and a half hours to Taehyung’s family home for Christmas.
We did a final check on the house, as Taehyung scooped up Yeontan and we made our way to the car. Taehyung strapped Tannie into his harness in the back seat, while I jumped in the front, turning around and cooing at the small pup.
“You excited to go for a ride Tan?” I stated in a cute voice, causing him to start wagging his tail.
Taehyung petted the tiny dogs head with his large hand “we’ll make plenty of stops for you too.”
I turned back around to clip my seatbelt on as Taehyung climbed into the drivers side. He pulled across his own seatbelt and started the car before turning to me and smiling.
“What?” I laughed.
“Nothing” he beamed “I’m just excited to go home with you.”
“We’ll see if you still feeling like that after three hours in the car with me and my obnoxious singing!”
As if on cue, Yeontan barked.
“At least we know someone is” I laughed, turning to rub Yeontan under the chin.
Taehyung turned his head to look out the rear window, placing his tanned arm on the head rest behind me. The sight still causing me to swoon.
It wasn’t long into the drive before I picked up Taehyung’s phone connected to his radio, and scrolled through Spotify. I grinned at him once Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) started playing through the speakers.
“The snow’s coming down” I sang loudly.
“Christmas, I’m watching it fall” Taehyung joined in, just as loud.
“Christmas, lot’s of people around. Christmas, baby please come home” we sang together.
I looked over at my boyfriend, admiring how the morning sun lit up his dark skin and the way his cheeks hid under his sunglasses when he laughed, wondering how it was possible to fall more in love with a person each day.
***
“You okay? You’ve gone really quiet” Taehyung observed as we drove through his hometown.
“Hmm? I’m fine” I smiled back, fiddling with a thread on my knitted jumper.
Taehyung glanced towards me and raised his brows, not buying my answer.
I sighed. “I guess I’m still a bit nervous visiting your family.. they’re wonderful! And so welcoming! But sometimes I worry that they’ll come to think I’m not right for you.. I don’t know..”
I immediately felt his hand reach to grab mine and squeeze it. “I already told you, they adore you. And if they didn’t it wouldn’t change how I feel about you. I wish you could see how much people love you.” Taehyung brought my hand to his lips, placing a quick kiss against the back of it before resting our joined hands back on the center console.
I couldn’t help but smile at how he spoke to me. I was still a little anxious, but Taehyung being right beside put my jittery tummy at ease.
The car finally pulled onto a long, stone driveway leading up to a picturesque country home. Taehyung turned off the engine and immediately squeezed both my hands, giving me a reassuring smile before we stepped out of the car and walked up to the front door.
Without hesitation, Taehyung wrapped his knuckles on the wooden door before opening it.
“Annyeong!” He shouted, slightly crouching as Yeontan squirmed out of Taehyung’s arms and ran into the house. I could hear rushing footsteps follow in reply,
“Taehyung!” His mother greeted as she emerged from the kitchen, pulling the towering boy into a hug.
“Eomma!” His boxy smile and squinted eyes showed how happy Taehyung was to be home.
Taehyung managed to grab the box of food from my hands just before his mother pulled me into a hug. “Y/N, ahh it’s wonderful to see you again dear!”
“You too” I smiled, hugging her back, all my anxiousness disappearing.
“Come inside, we need more hands in the kitchen to help prepare the food for tomorrow!” his mother urged, pulling us both through the hallway.
Taehyung and I glance towards each other and smiled - happy to be home.
Later that night
After an afternoon of preparing tomorrows meal, eating, and family board games, I was sat with Taehyung’s family in the warm living room, the tv playing in the background. My back was resting against my boyfriends shoulder as I listened to his family catch up on each other’s lives.
I could feel my eyes getting heavy as a result of the long drive and busy afternoon, and barely noticed myself beginning to drift into a light sleep. I faintly heard Taehyung’s voice utter my name and feel his body move as he chuckled.
“I think it’s time the two of us went to bed, this ones already fast asleep” I heard him say as he rubbed his hand up and down my arm.
It wasn’t until I felt movement that I reluctantly opened my eyes to Taehyung’s face, my arms draped over his neck as he carried me upstairs to his room.
“Hey sleeping beauty” he winked, laughing softly.
“I fell asleep” I admitted, before realising I had done so while socialising with his family. “I need to apologise to your parents”
“It’s fine” he smiled “they could see how tired you were. Besides, they’re happy you feel comfortable around them.”
I nodded sleepily as Taehyung sat me down on his bed, quickly changing into my pjs. I heard the tiny feet of Yeontan making his way into the room, and jumping up on the bed. He circled around himself before deciding on the spot at the end of the bed. Freshly changed into his own pyjamas, Taehyung crawled into bed and pressed his body against my own to create warmth.
I wrapped my arm around his tummy, pressing my head against his side, instantly sighing at his presence. “Goodnight Tae.”
“Goodnight my love” he replied, kissing the top of my head.
The next morning
I awoke to unfamilar surroundings, with a familiar arm clung around my waist. It took me a moment to register we were back in Taehyung’s family home and Christmas morning had finally come. It was the one morning I could never sleep in as I turned to face a sleeping Taehyung, lips slightly parted and pouting.
He must have felt me stir, causing him to grumble and slowly open his eyes to meet my own.
“Merry Christmas” I smiled, voice hoarse from hours of sleep.
“Merry Christmas jagi” he replied deeply, pressing his forehead to my own.
“Ah” Taehyung suddenly said, causing me to jump as he pulled away. He sat up from the bed as he looked for something in his bedside draw, his caramel skin and toned back on full display.
He handled me a small package, neatly wrapped in ribbon.
“Tae” I smiled.
“It’s your last advent present”
I couldn’t help but giggle, looking up at him in confusion “you do know you only have to go up to 24 days for advent, love.”
“I know” he smiled bashfully. “But this is a special one, and I wanted to give it to you on Christmas Day.”
I sat up on all fours, leaning over to kiss his lips softly “thank you” I smiled, as I began to gently unwrap his gesture.
I disregarded the fancy paper, revealing Taehyung’s gift. I held in my hands the cutest pair of baby booties and a confused look on my face. “Wha- Tae?”
He laughed, rubbing his hand through his messy bed hair.
“Did I miss something? You know I’m not pregnant..?” I laughed.
“No, I know!” He giggled. Taehyung took one of the boots from my hands and began to fiddle with it. “Remember when we went Christmas shopping and we saw all those children meeting Santa?”
I nodded at the fond memory.
“And I said I couldn’t wait to start a family with you. I wanted to show you that I meant that. And we will always have something to remember this moment.” He kept his gaze focused on the small boot, smiling shyly and cheeks slightly blushed.
I placed my hand on the side of his face, bringing his eyes to focus on mine.
“God dammit I love you so much, Kim Taehyung” I laughed as my eyes blurred from warm tears. I reached out for his hand, lacing our fingers together. “And I can’t wait to start a family with you.”
Without saying anything Taehyung immediately pulled me into a hug, singing as he pressed his lips onto the skin of my shoulder. “And I love you endlessly, Y/N Y/L/N”.
He pulled back to reveal a smirk, and whispered in his deep voice “but don’t make me wait too long” he winked, causing my lower abdomen to stir and my cheeks to flush.
We were brought back to reality hearing the sounds of Taehyung’s family waking up, unable to contain their excitement of Christmas Day.
“We should probably join them” I spoke almost in a whisper, still transfixed by my boyfriends gesture.
“I guess you’re right” he smiled shyly, gently moving the strands of hair falling over my eyes.”Merry Christmas, Y/N”
I learned over, pressing a soft kiss against his parted lips. “Merry Christmas, Tae.”

“You are not going out in this cold without covering up” my boyfriend firmly spoke, pulling a knitted scarf off the hook and wrapping it around my neck.
“Fine, but I would still like to breath” I muffled, as Taehyung teasingly covered the scarf over my face.
“Aw, but I think you look cute. Like a little eskimo” he giggled.
I shook my head, fixing my scarf “we need to leave now or we’ll be late.”
Taehyung grabbed his keys from the hall, locking our front door behind him.
The sun was almost fully set as I slid into the passenger seat of Taehyung’s car, anxiously waiting for him to start the engine so I could turn on the heater.
“Have you got the address?” Taehyung asked.
“Yep” I replied, typing the location to his navigator. We were driving to the Pocheon Herb Island Illuminating Festival. Christmas lights being one of my favourite things about the festive season!
***
“Taehyung!” I yelled, causing my poor boyfriend to jump, muttering a Korean swear word under his breath.
“Oops.. sorry babe!” I laughed, causing him to do the same. “But look at that house!”
We were already getting a taste of the pretty lights, as Taehyung slowing down to a stop so we could observe the house covered in coloured flashing lights and a lit up Christmas scene across their front lawn.
“Wow..” I gawked over the extravagant house out the window “Imagine how this will look when it’s dark!” I turned to Taehyung to see his reaction, and my eyes immediately met his, as he softly smiled at me.
“What?” I laughed.
“I just love seeing you so excited” he said, the flashing lights reflecting in his eyes “It makes my heart happy.”
***
Taehyung pulled his car into the secure lot and shut off the engine. We were both fully rugged up to face the cold weather, Taehyung wearing a mask and beanie to avoid any extra attention. He ensured his car was locked, and then intertwined our glove-covered fingers together as we began to walk through Pocheon Herb Island to the main event.

The place was already swarming with people attending the Illuminating Festival, causing me to hold on to my boyfriends hand a little tighter, which he squeezed back in reassurance. We weaved through the crowds until Taehyung pointed to a small bench tucked away behind a tree. As it wasn’t up in front many guests were choosing not to sit there, but it was perfect for us - away from the crowd and still a great view of the lights.
As we sat down, Taehyung pulled his backpack off his shoulder handing me a thermos and keeping one for himself.
“We surely can’t watch a Christmas light show without some hot chocolate” he winked.
“Boyfriend of the year” I smiled up at him.
“Definitely the best award I’ve won” he said, wrapping his arm around me, pulling me closer.
The Christmas music playing over the speakers faded out and was replaced with a cheerful female voice over.
“Ladies and gentlemen, we are ready to begin the countdown for Pocheon Herb Island’s Illuminating Festive 2019!”
The crowed cheered in anticipation, and the surrounding lights flickered off in preparation as a countdown began to ring out over the speakers.

I patted Taehyung’s thigh in excitement, causing him to chuckle and squeeze his arm around me.

We both turned and looked over the moat towards the darkened display.

A single star illuminated in the centre, slowly followed by the flickering of random lights around it, looking like a starry night sky coming to life. A row of fairy lights lit up the buildings like a domino effect, reflecting against the moat that separated the lights from the transfixed crowd. My mouth was ajar, amazed by the beautiful show in front of me.
I turned to Taehyung, once again his eyes already transfixed on me. I could feel my cheeks turning a darker shade of pink then they already were from the frosty air. Taehyung’s face softened as pressed his forehead to my own, the bright lights causing his dark eyes to radiate different shades of brown.
“I am so in love with you, Kim Taehyung” I muttered from under the noise surrounding us.
“And I, you, Y/F/N Y/L/N” he beamed back. I wanted to kiss him hard, right there, but I new if I started I wouldn’t be able to get enough of him. So I rested my head on his shoulder, pressed against his warm body as we watched the rest of the light show in front of us. Taehyung’s arm was softly draper over my waist as he hand traced up and down my outer thigh.
***
Before heading back to the car, we decided to walk around the area for a bit and look at all the Christmas lights decorating people’s homes. We wandered, hand in hand, down a small residential lane that was completely lit up with the festive flashing of warm, cool and colourful fairy lights.
I pulled my phone out to try and capture the beautiful image in front of me, continuing to adjust where I was standing. I turned around to catch Taehyung holding up his own phone, smiling.
“Are you taking a photo” I laughed, giving him a cheesy grin.
“I’m not” he smiled, turning his phone around so both of us were in the video, our silhouettes contrasting against the warm glow of the street around us.
I wrapped my arms around his chest from behind, placing a quick kiss on his cheek as he showed his boxy smile. Before I could move away his free arm pulled me in beside him, allowing him to press his lips softly against my own, the two of us smiling into the sweet kiss.
“And now I have that captured forever” he said as he pulled away.
“Come on” I giggled, grabbing onto his hands “let’s go look at more Christmas lights.”
25 Days of Christmas Challenge - Update!
Firstly I just wanted to thank everyone who has read my work so far! I know it’s not perfect, and some have been better than others - but this is the first I’ve gotten back into writing after many years, so I do hope you have enjoyed my Christmas stories with Taehyung 😊
I know I have been behind on the days, and I’ve been doing my best to do at least write something each day. I also decided to combine some days as some of the prompts are very similar and I felt I could write one scenario with them, rather than similar stories. It also makes it easier to get more days out 😂
Finally, it’s a couple of days before Christmas and I still have a few prompts to write. I’m not sure how many I will get out before the 25th, as I’m organising a lot for Christmas, plus I may not be able to do much after. However, all the prompts should *hopefully* be out not long after!! So I will still be finishing the challenge (I’m determined!), it just might be a little late.
Thank you for welcoming me into the BTS writing community, for following this new blog, and for @writerofbts including me in this challenge!
I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas/Holiday/December 🥰💜🎄

warnings: none.

*Buzz*
I ran over to my apartment intercom, pressing the speaker.
“Y/N! Are you ready for dinner?” Taehyung announced through the machine.
“Hi Taehyung! I’ll let you up.”
I felt nervous around Taehyung before because he was a cute guy showing me affection, but now that I knew what a big name he was, my nerves skyrocketed as he approached my apartment. I just hoped he told me soon, because I hated the thought of keeping it from him that I knew.
He had messaged me a few days earlier to say the restaurant we were going to was quite prestigious, and suggested I should wear my best dress (it was a polite way of warning me that I wouldn’t want to show up in the wrong dress code!) After many outfit crises, I went for a laced lilac bodycon dress, with a square shoe-string strap top. I also went to the extra effort to loosely curl my hair. I sat down to put on my sensible, but classy, heels and waited for Taehyung to arrive.
Even the knock at my door matched his cool demeanour. As I opened it, I was amazed by how many times this guy could wow me with his fashion. He wore black pants and black slip-on dress shoes with gold trimming. Tucked into his belt was a subtle floral button up shirt, and I didn’t miss that the top button was undone.
“You look.. stunning” he exclaimed, as I noticed his eyes grazed up and down my figure, before quickly darting to my eyes as he smiled.
“Is it okay to wear?” I asked nervously trying to adjust the dress, unsure sure how to react.
“Definitely” he confidently smirked, heat rushing to my face. “Shall we head off then?”
I nodded happily, grabbing my coat from the couch and locking the door behind us.
***
We made our way into the notably fancy restaurant, my arm linked around his. A smartly-dressed man bowed as we entered, as Taehyung announced reservations under his name. The man led us past an array of diners until I noticed we were near the back of the restaurant. He stopped us at a table located at a full length corner window showing a stunning view of Seoul’s lights at night, and trees strung with warm fairy lights. The table was lined with a few candles, highlighting a place card reading VIP Only.
After thanking the employee, Taehyung walked over to one of the chairs, pulling it out and gesturing me to sit. Before I did, he placed his hands on my shoulders and gently removed my coat. I couldn’t help but notice his warm hands slightly brushing against my bare shoulders.
He smiled brightly as he sat down opposite me “are you comfortable?”
“Yes, thank you! It’s a beautiful spot” I said, looking out over the city.
A waiter appeared at our table, handing us each a menu and pouring us each a glass of wine. Taehyung prompted me to have a read of the menu. I must not have hidden my worried face after looking at the prices of each dish, because he was quick to comment. “My shout, Y/N.”
“I don’t expect you..” I argued, but he cut me off by shaking his head.
“It’s fine, I want to” he smiled. “Although, I guess you are wondering how I can afford a place like this..” he began tracing around the bottom of his wine glass.
“Well..”
Taehyung looked up at me. I smiled guiltily, causing him to chuckle. “I thought you might figure it out.”
“I was curious about your music..” I said, laughing in defence.
“It’s fine” Taehyung laughed “So? Do you like it?”
I nodded frantically “you’re incredibly talented! All of you.”
“Thank you” his boxy grin spreading across his face “you probably know the story of BTS now?”
“I’d much rather hear it from you than a bunch of internet articles” I smiled, taking a sip of wine.
***
“Can I ask you a question?” I said quietly, after hearing how Taehyung became such a successful idol. He simply nodded. “Why me?” I asked.
Taehyung looked at me, ever so slightly tilting his head to the side, unsure of what I meant.
“I mean, why did you talk to me that day? And choose to take me out to a place like this?”
He shrugged his shoulders, but smiled sweetly “I don’t know?”
Not really the answer I was wanting to hear..
“Sorry! I don’t mean that in a bad way! It’s just.. there was something about you. The way you showed love to your dog, I could see how caring you are. And that’s something I’ll always look for in a friend.”
I felt my heart drop into my stomach as that last word left Taehyung’s lips. I wanted to sink down into my chair and disappear, cursing myself for thinking he was actually interested in anything more. My eyes met Taehyung’s and he smiled, clearly unaware I was expecting him to say anything else.
“Plus it was refreshing meeting someone who didn’t know who I was” he said lightly, before looking down at his food “sometimes it’s hard to know who is your friend because of you or because of your fame.”
I could see the sadness behind his eyes.
“That is.. if you still want to be friends?” He continued. “I understand if this world is all a bit much.”
I was quick to shake my head “of course I do Taehyung, you’re a good friend and I’m glad I met you” I smiled, trying to hide my disappointment. “Plus, I don’t think Tannie and Kanna would be very happy!” I laughed, Taehyung agreeing as he laughed too.
“So.. what about Taehyung away from BTS? How do you enjoy to spend your free time?” I asked, still wanting to know more about Taehyung the person, not the idol.
“I like photography. And art” he smiled fondly. “I also like to learn the occasional instrument.”
“Wow, you certainly keep yourself busy. What sort of photos do you take?”
“Anything really. I like to capture things I love. Whether that’s scenery or people. I just really like having a snapshot of something beautiful.” He spoke so passionately, I could listen to him speak all day.
A main course, dessert and a whole bottle of wine later we decided it was time to call it a night.
“Thank you for dinner, Taehyung. I had a wonderful time” I said as we got out of his car at the front of my apartment building.
“Thank you for spending time with me tonight” he smiled softly, pulling me in for hug. “Let’s catch up again soon.”
“I’d love that” I agreed, slightly disappointed to know that this hug was only one shared between friends.
But a friend I was happy to have.
Going Home
25 Days of Christmas Challenge
Prompt: Day 7 - Spending time with your Family
Authors note - sorry this one is extra late! I had a lot of writers block with it. But hey, I think it’s the longest so far :)
Masterlist

The obnoxious sound of my 4am alarm pulled me from my sleep, initially cursing Taehyung for booking such early flights. However, that feeling disappeared instantly when it sunk in that we were flying back to Y/Country to visit my family for a week. This would be the third time in our relationship that Taehyung has been with my family; including the first time he met my parents, followed by our first Christmas together. Taehyung’s busy schedule made it hard for him to see his own family, let alone travel overseas to see mine.
We were thankful to our past selves, having our suitcases packed the night before, our clothes for the plane laid out on top. Taehyung and I decided we would use the waiting time at the airport to grab something to eat, so all we needed to do this morning was to freshen up before our pre-booked car arrived to take us to Incehon Airport.
After checking in our luggage, we found a nice little cafe not far from our gate to finally get something to eat. I was keen to get some caffeine in me, so opted for an eggnog latte, while Taehyung ordered a peppermint hot chocolate. We managed to find a small table near the cafe’s open fireplace to enjoy a meal, perfect for this time of year.
“Are you excited to be going home” Taehyung asked once we sat down.
“Of course” I smiled, “I’ve missed my family a lot since moving to Seoul.”
He looked down at his hands “I’m sorry we can’t visit them more..”
I grabbed a hold of his hands, holding them between my own “Tae, I wouldn’t change a single thing. Yes, I’m thousands of miles from my family. But you’re my home now” I smiled. “Please don’t apologise.”
He brought my hands up to his lips, kissing them softly.
Hours had passed and we were finally ready to board. Taehyung always insisted on flying business class, and while I knew how expensive it was, I wasn’t one to object (the extra leg room really made all the difference!)
We were about halfway through the long haul flight. I turned towards Taehyung, grabbing his attention from scrolling through a photography feed on instagram. “You definitely feel more chill this time around” I laughed.
The first time we flew home to visit my parents Taehyung was a nervous wreck, eager to impress my family. Of course he had nothing to worry about. My family had immediately fallen in love with him, and not only thought he was charming, but that he was very easy to talk to. The second time we flew over for Christmas, he was excited to see my parents again, but nervous about meeting my extended family, as was I. But as soon as I saw Taehyung playing with my younger cousins, my nerves were quickly put at ease - although my maternal hormones did make him more attractive..
Taehyung smiled “I think it’s going to feel more like home this time around. You’re parents feel like family now.” I was thankful for facetime, allowing the relationship between my parents and my boyfriend to continue.
***
I was happy to finally step off that plane after hours of being confined in the air with a bunch of strangers. Taehyung held me close to his side while we stood at baggage claim, his protective side always appearing when we were in large crowds.
My phone vibrated in my pocket, revealing a message from my mother.
Hope you both had a good flight. We are outside customs, near the glass doors. See you soon, love you xx
I smiled as I texted her back, telling her we shouldn’t be much longer and that I would text her once we were through customs.
Thankfully it was only half an hour later when Taehyung and I made our way out into arrivals. I anxiously scanned the crowd of faces waiting for their own loved ones to arrive home safely, trying to spot my parents. Being much taller than me, Taehyung clearly had more luck.
“Y/N, there they are” he announced cheerfully, before we both walked as quickly as we could, wheeling our suitcases.
My mum pulled me into a tight hug, telling me how much she had missed me, while Taehyung and my dad shook hands, saying how good it was to see each other again. I then moved over to hug my dad tightly, while my mum pulled Taehyung into a big hug.
“You both must be so tired from the long flight” my mum asked.
“Yeah” I nodded “I didn’t really sleep much. Can’t say the same about this one though” laughing as I nudged Taehyung.
“Yeah.. I’ve learnt how to sleep anywhere now” he laughed.
“Well how about we go grab some dinner, then head home” my mum suggested, and we began walking to their car.
Later that night
Taehyung and I placed our suitcases in the corner of the spare room upstairs, once my childhood bedroom. I was about to unzip my bag to change into my pyjamas when I felt a strong pair of arms suddenly snake around my waist, Taehyung resting his head in the crook of my neck as he hummed.
“Is it bad that I want you right now” he whispered.
“Tae!” I turned around to face him “I told you last time it’s a small house, we’ll be heard!” I giggled.
“We can be quiet” he smirked, causing me to raise my eyebrows at him.
He pulled me back to sit on the double bed I slept in as a teenager, crashing his lips on my own. His hands rested on my hips, as mine found their way to his waist and the back of his head. I loved when he grew his hair out, as it meant there was more for me to grab a hold of in heated moments like this. It wasn’t long before he gently pushed his weight against me, naturally causing me to lie back as Taehyung hovered his body over mine, one hand grabbing a hold of my thigh while the other held him up. He pulled away, blinking slowly as he looked at me.
“I love you, Y/N” he smiled.
“I love you too, Taehyung” I replied, placing my hands on either sides of his cheeks, pulling him close, his lips once again pressed against my own.
The next day
The four of us decided to have a make-shift Christmas Day, including present exchange and a wonderful home cooked Christmas meal. So that morning we were all sat around the beautiful smelling Christmas Tree in our pyjamas (Taehyung’s and mine still matching ones of course) to open presents.
“These are from Tae and I” I said passing my mum and dad each a box wrapped in brown paper and ribbon, decorated with mini baubles and a lovely gift tag. Mum opened hers to reveal a pair of Tiffanny and Co earings and Chanel perfume, while my dad unwrapped a Rolex watch. Both of them gasped.
“Oh this is way too much, you two!”
“It’s not” Taehyung smiled, as I added “You deserve it.”
“It’s also a thank you for letting me into your family” Taehyung said, placing his hand on my thigh.
Both my parents smiled. “And we’re so happy to have you a part of it” my mum said, followed by thank you hugs from both of them.
My mum then pulled a present from under the tree, handing it to myself and Taehyung. We tore off the wrapping paper to reveal a beautiful grey book with the words Our Story written across the cover. I opened the first page to a picture of Taehyung and I, taken back in the first few months of our relationship.
“We left all the dates blank for you two to write about where each one was taken, but it’s a collection of some of your photos together so far, with some really nice quotes about love through out” my mum explained
“This is beautiful..” I said, almost speechless.
“And there’s still plenty of room to add more” my dad added.
“Thank you so much” Taehyung said softly, as we flipped through the memories of the past few years, unable to take our eyes off the gift.
“Thank you, I.. well we, absolutely love it” I said, smiling at Taehyung, before thanking my parents through hug. They also gifted me with a beautiful necklace from Pandora, and lovely skin care kit for Taehyung (after seeking out some ideas from me!)
“We have one more gift for you” Taehyung said, handing my parents an envelope.
“You’ve already given us enough” my mum replied, taking the envelope from him and holding it between herself as my dad. Taehyung and I grinned at each other, unable to contain our excitement as they opened it.
“What..” my mum said, as they both looked at us, shocked, as they held pieces of paper in their hands, including plane tickets to Seoul.
Taehyung looked at me, grabbing a hold of my hand “Y/N mentioned how you really need time away from everything. And you can come visit us during your holiday.”
“Do you like it” I asked, beaming. “It’s all booked for next year. Flights, hotels, even some spending money.”
Tears filled both my mother and fathers eyes, as they pulled Taehyung and I into a hug.
“Thank you” my mother sniffed through tears, although I had a feeling it was directed more towards Taehyung than me.
We enjoyed spending the rest of the week in Y/Country with my parents, taking Taehyung sightseeing and having family nights playing board games or watching Christmas films (and some home videos at my expense!) However my favourite part was when we just sat around and talked about each others lives, finally having all my loved ones in one place.
