“You could stay with me. At least until the storm passes,” He said, making her go rigid as her head shook so hard she feared her neck would crack. Scurrying to put words to her hasty reaction as it seemed to deepen the crease between his brows.

“No, no need to put yourself out for me. I’ll manage.”

He crossed his arms again, observing the tremor in her hands as the chill grew more intense, and she knew it would only get worse. Still, she couldn’t stay with him. She had only just learned his name. The voice in her head told her she never worried about that when she went home with someone after a night out. It was rare when she did, but it was true, and it annoyed her that even her mind was against her.

“Daenerys, it’s only to get worse. Your pride won’t keep you warm.”

A sudden blizzard cancels Dany's Holiday plans. Lucky for her, her handsome neighbor is also spending Christmas alone. A string of bad luck soon follows, leaving her with no choice but to take Jon Snow up on his offer to wait out the storm at his place.

This isn’t really based on the Winter Wonderland prompts, though it started that way. I originally wanted to merge Day Two and Three, it was supposed to be a one-shot, but I got carried away, and it turned into something else. But it’s Christmas/winter-themed and written for the challenge. Rated explicit as it will get smutty!

A Stark Family Portrait

Oof this was both nostalgic and painful to pull together. It hurts the same way being an adult watching 'Anastasia' hurts, we know she never saw her parents or siblings again. All that's left is the semi-abandoned castles and portraits sort of hurt.

Oh and I forgot to mention it on Ned's redesign post but way back when I read the first book, when season 1 was a twinkle in GRRM's eye, Ned was my favorite character. I am a sucker for honorable protagonists and was devastated. Who was your favorite character in book 1/Season 1?
