Inconsistencies in the HTTYD Universe

I don't understand why I can't find anything online when I google it to explain what in the world happened, so here goes. Maybe someone can explain to me what in the world is going on.

At the end of the first film, Hiccup and Astrid seem to be a couple. This is cemented in the fact that they kiss in some of the episodes of "Defenders of Berk" or whatever it's called.

But then, when I watch Race to the Edge, it's as if none of that never happened! Like, at all! An example of this would be a dialogue exchange between Heather and Astrid:

Heather: How about Hiccup? I see the way you look at him.

Astrid, throwing her axe at a target: What? We're just friends.

Me: ...

Me: WHAT

So... um, could someone explain this to me pls. I'm confused. Is it just a blip because of different writers?

Gabriel didn’t just threaten to kill Felix, he actually attempted it.

With what we know now, putting the akuma in his ring was a death sentence.

If Felix hadn’t rejected the akuma then not only would Ladybug and Chat Noir have to break the ring but when they did they would have found both a feather and the akuma and WHO WANTS TO BET THEY WOULD HAVE HAD THE KNOWLEDGE TO NOT PURIFY BOTH.

Poor kid had to fight for his life, literally. We know how hard it is to reject the akumas but he didn’t have a choice, did he?

Also, consider this both proof that Gabriel was aware of this fact AND proof that Gabriel is just so so stupid..so stupid.

I know I'm not the first person to write about this, and that I'm probably going to be booed at across the multi-verse, but just put down your tomatoes for a sec and listen to what i have to say, k?

I watched this movie with my family, and honestly, all of us were just laughing at the stupidity of the whole movie. Why? Because of the obviously trash morals of the whole film!

When they get the supervillains trapped and ready to send back, that is what Peter should have done. Though they will die, they are not innocent. They have caused pain and death and carnage. So, who is Peter to endanger so many people in his own universe just so that he can "Fix them"??? And what in the world??

Also, as my father pointed out, there's this one scene in which Green Goblin is like "Peter, the problem with you is your morality". I mean what in the world! It's TOTALLY morality when you bring three SUPERVILLAINS to a place with ALL-POWERFUL TECH. Totally moral! Not absolute idiocity at all! Does it scream danger? Nope! :)

And then Aunt May dies, saying that they did the right thing. Yep. Briging three supervillains into your house and trying to "fix" them is totally the right thing to do. Look at the damage that caused. I'm pretty sure Aunt May wasn't the only one killed because of Peter's stupid decisions.

In conclusion, the problem with Peter isn't morality. It's self-righteousness and way too much stupidity for someone who is supposed to be a genius.
