Hey- C’mere- Whisper to me, what kind of AU can you just not like?

Either Coffee shop or Modern AUs Specifically high school ones do i really need to explain? “Congrats! You took a magical/medieval world with specific rules and worldbuilding “and turned it into a 2015 cliche with little to no modern equivalent for the magical stuff” and then the plot is protagonist simping over love interest Which is kinda like 80 percent of fics so it’s understandable but the way it’s executed is kinda boring because I feel like there’s no real stakes especially when there’s plot in the og content that can only make sense in the original world Like for example: you can get executed for using magic in Camelot And then that is either completely ignored in modern AUs or it’s been translated to something way less drastic Like being socially unaccepted or something Also i don’t like imagining something like The Prince of The Fire Nation Being like the son of a CEO or just the popular kid or something sorry for rambling if you like modern aus then go for it but personally it’s not my cup of tea too many tags

I headcanon that the reason Nico wears darker clothes is because it’s actually easier to shadow travel since the color black is often associated with darkness

And so one day he finds that he can blend in with the shadows better if he’s dressed like them

And that’s why he wear black all the time. Not just because he wants to, but because he has to if he wants to use his powers to their full extent
