I’ve been thinking about idly streaming for a while, but they would all be games where I’ve already played them and then lamely did research on genre writing for the game beforehand. I’m not sure I’m going to do this yet, seems a bit of a commitment when I’m trying not to drown in school, but the end of the semester is approaching and a month would be plenty of time to get started on research for multiple games. I’m wondering if anyone would be interested and am open to suggestions.

Mafia: Definitive Edition (probably whole series) and looking into different eras of mobster movies.

L.A. Noire and obviously noire cinema

Life is Strange (in preparation for life is strange two) and certain kinds of “serious ya”/teen movies that deal with more mature themes (I want an excuse to watch the Heathers and Firewalk with me okay?)

Mass Effect when the definitive edition comes out and sci-if (specifically military sci-fi)

What Remains of Edith Finch. I’m not sure what genre I’d be looking into but I like this game and want to talk about grieving and death and trauma. Family tragedy.

Accompanying the former will be Gris

Far From Noise; probably will be the first one I play bc I don’t intend to do a lot of research. This is just such a good game and I’m not sure I can do it justice by talking about existentialism, therapy, etc

Firewalk and cinema with themes for middle aged adults as well as nature~

Dark Picture Anthology and horror movie influences. I may or may not rant about Little Hope and my love hate relationship with the game bc I like ALL of the premise but none of the execution and I have OPINIONS on how it could have been done better and been roughly the same game

I’m sure there are more but this is what I’m sitting with. Let me know (if anyone actually reads this) what kind of stuff you’d be interested in (if this seems interesting) and if there are any influences in the ones already mentioned that could be beneficial to examine

A guy came into my job and threw tootsie rolls at me today (for no discernible reason). A few minutes after he left, he came back and threw more tootsie rolls at me.

Sir. Even if I wanted to eat this, I wouldn’t. I do not trust candy that can be easily unwrapped and rewrapped from anyone. Please stop asking me if I don’t like the candy and stop staring. I’m not going to.

Ah... Customer service.

Ever get a weird AU idea that makes no sense.

Old man Tommy and Sarah have the ghosts of Paulie and Sam living in their house (both haunting Tommy) and get to navigate weird domestic life with two dead friends living under their roof.

Then Vito and Joe come to kill Tommy and get smacked around with Joe’s  floating shotgun. Conversation happens and the Angelos run away with Joe and Vito since clearly protective custody apparently mean nothing if these two got close and now weird domestic life (with their own children might I add) also includes two adoptive sons (and their ghost friend Henry).

My sweet new babies inside their play pen (the only time I can get them to be still. Just got them this week and we’re already working on getting them trained. I’m mostly posting this because I just spent the last half hour in their play pen with them as a relief from finals. They’re not making my sweet girl Satin (my profile pic) jealous but they are a bit too rough for her, being 10 weeks to her 13 years. Their names are Merry (white collar) and Pippin (teal collar), but they have reversed personalities. While it is tempting to have the name match temperament, I now find the reversal amusing.

Sorry for the lack of update on eating alone. I know it’s been a few weeks. I’ve just not being doing well headspace wise (I am receiving help, it’s just not fixing stuff; you know how it is) and I am also overwhelmed by school now that it’s finals season. I promise I’ll get back to it
