Eating Alone Story - Tumblr Posts

so I’m looking for a beta for my mafia (and dragon age but mostly mafia) fanfiction. I’m sure my grammar could use some work (I flinch when I reread old chapters and posts), but I’m honestly more concerned with narrative structure and consistency who is equal part willing to go along with a critique stylistic choices.

Writer’s block is the biggest bane of my existence and I’m hoping that someone can look at what I’ve written and help add some insight to what I’ve done.

my biggest problem right now is Sam. I’m trying to explore my interpretation without woobifying him. I don’t want him to lose his agency and that’s for good and ill, but he is also in a super complicated and precarious position. If anyone is willing to go with me on this journey please do, because I’m still trying to climb over the edge into the actual boat.

I indeed opened up my document for the chapter a few minutes ago and wondered what the fuck I was thinking... mostly due to the sheer amount of misspelled words and repetitive writing. Go sleepy brain.

For those of you that read eating alone, just a quick warning.

I am not nice to Tommy in this next chapter, and, while that was happening already, it is only going to get worse during his POVs for now. Torture happens and it’s affecting his mindset.

Essentially, if the tags on the story don’t affect you, don’t worry about it, but do keep that in mind.

Sorry for the lack of update on eating alone. I know it’s been a few weeks. I’ve just not being doing well headspace wise (I am receiving help, it’s just not fixing stuff; you know how it is) and I am also overwhelmed by school now that it’s finals season. I promise I’ll get back to it

Finally updating this. Life has been rough so sorry for the delay you guys.

New chapter of Eating Alone (finally). I hope you guys enjoy!

At long last, I posted another chapter. I swear, this one took far too long.

I am not dead and neither is this story. I had promised myself that I wouldn’t update another chapter until I had finished the thing, but while checking out my account, I noticed that it had been OVER A YEAR since I had last added a chapter to it, let alone anything else. I have remedied this. Can’t promise anything coming super soon, but if another month passes and I’m not significantly closer, the next chapter will at least be done. Once I’m finished, I’ll move down to once a week so that I have time to edit.

This is especially important to me, because I’ve already started working on a new project, because my dumb ass wants to do absolutely everything, and I want to at least be much closer to finishing this before I put that story out too.

Next chapter in the story! I told you I would at least make sure it was here in a month!
