You know, when I see fictional characters who repress all their emotions, they're usually aloof and very blunt about keeping people at a distance, sometimes to an edgy degree—but what I don't see nearly enough are the emotionally repressed characters who are just…mellow.

Think about it. In real life, the person that's bottling up all their emotions is not the one that's brooding in the corner and snaps at you for trying to befriend them. More often than not, it's that friendly person in your circle who makes easy conversation with you, laughs with you, and listens and gives advice whenever you're upset. But you never see them upset, in fact they seem to have endless patience for you and everything around them—and so you call them their friend, you trust them. And only after months of telling them all your secrets do you realize…

…they've never actually told you anything about themselves.

I was walking through the toy aisle at Target when I found this thing and had a VIOLENT AND IMMEDIATE FLASHBACK to when JP first came out and they had a bunch of REALLY COOL T Rex toys that I would have sold one of my scrawny small-child limbs for but my mother wouldn’t get me one because they were “too violent and also ate people” :(

Carmine was a cat with the mind of a superthief. The concept is adorable, and she deserves her own fic, so I humbly offer myself as tribute.

Summary:

Carmine is a thief unit, an animal created by the great Doctor herself. She is the best of the best, a good kitty and, with a little luck, soon to be a good thief, too. But when Carmine finds herself alone and abandoned in the cold, she loses everything. ... And finds a new friend.

Summary:

Coarse ropes bite into Player’s skin, cloth fabric covers his eyes. His bindings are tough, knotted by expert, practiced hands. He’s not the first person they’ve done this to, and if history repeats itself, he will not be the last. Some have escaped, others haven’t, but both were far more skilled than Player. He’s no operative, he’s no trained thief, he’s a tiny, scrawny little hacker, and he’s- “Oh, calm down, Player!” He squawks as an arm wrap around his neck, inhibiting his ability to breathe as his attacker drags him closer. “You’re being so dramatic!” -Been kidnapped. By his own friends.

For his nineteenth birthday, all Player wants to do is curl up in bed and sleep. Unfortunately for him, he ends up kidnapped by two overzealous red-heads.

Only this time, Carmen finds herself unable to fight against the orders she's given, no matter what they are... or which member of her team they happen to hurt.

Carmen: Why are you holding Player up by his armpits like a disgruntled cat? Ivy: He's in air jail for crimes

Player, nervous and jittery: Hey, umm... Red? I have a confession, I'm... trans. Carmen, incredibly well-being but with the ignorance of someone who grew up secluded on an island: ... like transformer? Player: Carmen: Are... are you a robot? Player, trying very hard not to laugh:

Someone else has probably noticed this, but did you guys know that in Carmen Sandiego, Season 1 Episode 5, during Cleo's dinner party, you can actually see what looks like Lady Dokuso (a character introduced in the next season) dining with the other guests?

Here she is among party guests at the start of the party and, in the last image, when Agent Devineaux breaks in. You can even see her mole!

Her actual introduction (S2, Episode 3). Again note the mole on her face and attention to detail in both shots.
