WHY THE FUCK NOT
If you reblog this before July 1 2014, I will write your url down and stick it in a jar or whatever. Over the summer I will take the jar of urls and I will scatter them around. They may get taped to public loos, they may be thrown into crowds at festivals, or they may get put under napkins at restaurants. Some one may find your url, and who knows, they could message you telling you where they found it. You have until July 1 to reblog.

Everyone has moments in their life that define them. For Key, they were things like her first pickpocket for coin, the first time she'd made someone trip using the powers her mother taught her, and the easy laughter she and her twin shared. But beyond those moments, there are times that don't reveal to us our inner selves, but encapsulate what makes you...you.
For Key, her trip to the Zephyr Sanctum was one such time.
Alcohol and games and flying ships higher than she'd ever been and a good friend, one of the best she could hope for, all combined into a day that left her laying awake all that night, unable to sleep.
Could anything be better than this? Was it even possible? she wondered as she stared out the window at the moon. As he'd promised, Rik had gotten them rooms on the airship for the night and the view was extraordinary. She could practically feel the almost-magnetic pull of the place upon her soul. She belonged here, a sky pirate, drinking amazing liquor and soaring above the clouds. It was paradise.
Except that it didn't have the people she loved most in the world. Could she handle being unable to see Lock and Ferk and Momma and even Ally once or twice a year? She shook her head, dark red locks shifting on the pillow. And they wouldn't want to stay with her, either. Lock might be satisfied for a while, until he couldn't get whatever dumb gizmo-gadget that they only sell in the 'Reach. And Ferk wouldn't get nearly as much time to slack off. She had seen how hard the sailors worked on regular sailing ships. It would be doubly hard on a skyship. Momma wouldn't like the heights. Ally wouldn't like the wind or the lack of available, rich men.
The Sanctum was everything she dreamed of. And she couldn't have it because doing so would destroy her. A lesser woman would have cried over the loss of something she'd never really had, a dream so big it could encompass her, but so small it left out the most important things.
Instead, Key got out of bed, left her cabin, and climbed the ropes. She spent a good portion of the night hanging from the rigging and balancing along the masts. She still had work to do. Family to find. A startlingly good friendship to enjoy. Fizzy gin to drink. There was no time to wallow in what couldn't be. Only time to enjoy the now. The eternal present. Where Key had always lived.
I wrote a thing for Rica! Her blog sucks and I need to redo the layout but I'm not right now so nyaaaa! But she's alive and stuff is happening to her. Yay for character progression and [Shh]! <3
No, you can’t deny women their basic rights and pretend it’s about your ‘religious freedom.’ If you don’t like birth control, don’t use it. Religious freedom doesn’t mean you can force others to live by your own beliefs.
