I could never hate Stanley Pines, i don’t care how many crimes he’s committed or the couple times he acted like a dick.

He was a kid who was never really good at anything, he was told he was a lost cause and would never achieve anything, then he got kicked out of his home because of a simple mistake (that didnt end up mattering because Ford still went to uni and got 50000 PhD’s and got rich), he had to live out of his car for 10 years and is legally not allowed to enter half of america, he went to jail and got into trouble with anybody who could ever hurt him, he had to chew his way out of the trunk of a car, he was never good at making products, he never achieved anything by being a travelling salesman.

Then he thinks his brother wants to see him again, he visits him, his brother immediately tells him to get the fuck away from him, ofcourse Stan gets mad and ford ends up going theough the portal, then Stanley, FAKES HIS OWN DEATH! HE HAS TO WITNESS ONLY 2 PEOPLE SHOWING UP TO HIS FUNERAL!!! AND HE TAKES UP THE MYSTERY SHACK AND LIVES IN A SMALL BACKWATER TOWN WITH DANGEROUS MONSTERS FOR 30 YEARS TO GET HIS BROTHER THAT HATES HIM BACK FROM WHATEVER DIMENSION HE WENT TO! HE SPENT 30 YEARS BUILDING A PORTAL HE HAD NO IDEA HOW TO BUILD, HE COULD HAVE FAKED HIS DEATH AND TOOK FORD’S FORTUNE AND DONE WHAT HE WANTED BUT INSTEAD HE STAYED BEHIND POSSIBLY WASTING HIS LIFE TO GET HIS BROTHER BACK!!!

And what does he get? He gets a punch in the face, he gets his family turning on him, he gets his brother trying to tear his niece and nephew apart, he gets the fear of almost getting kicked out by a family member once again, he gets the apocalypse, he gets a forced apology, he gets his mind erased, HE THINKS HES NEVER DONE ANYTHING WORTHWHILE IN HIS LIFE BECAUSE HE SACRAFICED HIS ENTIRE LIFE FOR PEOPLE WHO HATE HIM

Ever think about how stan’s a stingy hoarder because he had to live with nothing for so long? You ever think about how Ford was given everything he ever wanted on a silver platter while Stanley had to lick necessities off of knives? You ever think about how Ford took his whole life for granted and complained to his brother; the man who had nothing? You ever think about how much stan loves his family when their natural instinct is to hate him? You ever think about the fact that the only reason his famiky reaches out to him is because they think he’s ford? I do, i do think about these things

Should I start writing for Cyclops? I love him sm, my pookie deserves more love

Hey yall :) I just wanted some advice, please don’t read any further if you get triggered by mentions of ED or Weight or anything like that, love yall.

I’m really conflicted rn, I don’t know who to talk to about this bc I’m scared my friends or family will think I’m overreacting

It’s no big deal, but it rubbed me the wrong way

I was walking to school after grabbing some lunch with my friends and Bf, we were talking about what food to get after school bc we were doing extra work and most likely wouldn’t be able to get home for a proper dinner.

and I jokingly said “I can finish a McDonald’s cheeseburger in a few bites”

I was laughing and my friend were laughing along too, it was obvious I was exaggerating, but my boyfriend goes

“I can tell”

And I laughed it off at the time, I already wasn’t having a great day, he had been making a few other jabs at me throughout the day, so I elected to ignore it, we went back to school, I felt humiliated, so I just plugged in my headphones, picked at a bag of crisps and did some work on my laptop.

I didn’t know how to confront it earlier, but I was so upset, to the point that I was uncomfortable around him, I was making spelling mistakes on my course work, to which he made a few more jabs at me for.

I’ve had an ed for the past 4 years, im slightly chubby, I don’t know how to go about this without looking like I’m playing it up or making myself look like a victim.

I know this isn’t what I usually post, sorry.

Rewatching Gravity Falls at an older age and realising why I liked Stan so much, I related to him and his younger self so much, growing up as a ‘dumb’ kid, who had passions outside of being ‘smart’ and being compared by my parent to kids my age who were academically smarter than me, and wanting so badly to be close with people and not being able to, it hits so much harder watching this show now and looking back on tiny me, and having so much sympathy for my younger self, who just wanted to please her parents and live up to what they thought of other kids.

To be honest, looking back, I worked so hard, and while I’m still not excelling at school, I never would have believed that I would be in college and on my way to uni in a few years.

This small, 2 seasoned show, genuinely changed my life, as a child, and now as a young adult. This is just a silly little reflection post, kind of a love letter to the Character Stan and maybe Mabel even, they both helped me immensely, anyway, Alex Hirsch is Gods gift to all the kids and adults out there that needs comfort or even just a character to relate to.
