Kaitlin Olson on Danny Devito (x)
Even without seeing the prior episode (Charlie’s Home Alone), considering how Charlie is, the cutaways to the outrageous situation he’s made for himself at the bar without context still make sense.

Woooooooow
This show transcends what any one show could be.
Mac’s song, Varúð by Sigur Rós:
“It doesn’t matter what I say.
The only thing that matters is how you feel.
Understanding that the words are irrelevant is of great importance.
What feelings do you have?”
(said in Morse Code throughout the song)

The Dad who adopted him understood.

it took mac so much courage to come out to his friends and now hes gonna come out to his asshole dad who will either not give a shit or be mean to him

Mac Finds His Pride: a moodboard based on the religious imagery in mac’s dance.
literally never have i felt more proud to love this show than i do right now
I was thinking, “claustrophobic?” (symbolism for Dennis struggling with homophobic issues)
He wasn’t able to drive the gay pride float because he was feeling “a fear of being in a closed or small space/an unhappy or uncomfortable feeling caused by being in a situation that limits or restricts you.”
This was wonderfully and deservedly all about Mac, but it lends details to “The Straight Man” Dennis for what was going on with him during some of the events of this episode and for future developments.

macdennis + not wanting to do their gay jobs despite being…

are you fucking kidding me…. look at this boy. the only one that matters. look at him. nothing else matters.

…Oh my God

I get it.

Danny DeVito wasn’t told that Charlie was going to snap the box closed when he reached for a meat cube so that it would be his genuine surprised reaction in order to parallel Julia Roberts’ unscripted reaction to that same prank in the Pretty Woman scene they were parodying.
And doubly special, in this rendition we also get to see Danny’s honest moment of realization that they’ve just echoed the improvisational premise of that scene exactly after Charlie points it out.
(Look at both their expressions/body language and how Charlie made sure to pull the box far enough away from Danny’s hand so he wouldn’t get hurt from the wooden lid, which is different from Pretty Woman’s fabric necklace box that could safely drop closed on a hand without any worry of injury.)
