Ill Be Revealing The Names Of The Characters In The Ranma 1/2 Spinoff. Bear With Me. I Cannot Come Up
I’ll be revealing the names of the characters in the Ranma 1/2 spinoff. Bear with me. I cannot come up with clever naming.
The protagonist renames themselves Joni Starling when they immigrated to America. Their last name is taken from their cousin. Their old name was Chinese and abandoned because they aren’t apart of a tribe anymore. She is cursed with Spring of Drowned Man. When they’re introduced to the class as male, they go by Jon. When they’re disguised as their female form, they name themselves Joanne. Her best friends just tend to refer to her as Jo just in case.
Their love life is complicated and traumatic. Their first kiss was stolen by a guy they don’t like and their second kiss was stolen by a girl they hate. They don’t know if they like girls or boys as their body keeps changing between the two. What they do know is they may have small feelings for her best friend.
Her cousins are named Zane and Anya Starling. She’s very protective of the two. Zane knows a few basic marital art moves and consistently keeps up with his archery regime.
Her best friends are Nathan and Sammy Phantom. They’re the coolest twins in her grade and go along with whatever Jo gets up to. They’re total opposites as Nathan doesn’t speak too much and Sammy is a chatterbox. Jo has a small crush on Nathan and is in constant peril about him finding her secret.
Their last friend is Luke, a member of the newspaper club. He smells something off about Jo and is constantly on guard around her. He gets a weird feeling about Joanne.
Their classmate is named Spencer Baxtor, a football jock who hates losing. He cannot stand Jon and will always challenge her to whatever they do. He feels irritated but intrigued by Joanne.
Jo’s main rival and childhood friend is named Meg Moonflower. Having also changed her name and run away from the tribe, she is cursed with the Spring of Drowned Duck.
Meg’s best friend is Madison, a member of the gymnastic club. After witnessing the fight between Jo and her rival, she starts learning martial arts too. She really likes Joanne more than a friend.
Meg’s rival is named Emily, the leader of the rivaling gymnastic team. After being defeated by a girl like Joanne, she gets a crush on her. She is used to getting what she wants and is pretty powerful when she’s serious.
Meg’s crush and Jo’s biggest admirer is Brett Thunders. He is a part of the basketball team and is in love with Joanne. He despises men and doesn’t like that Jon is getting in the way.
Jo’s other rival is nicknamed Nick and he is cursed with Spring of Drowned Tiger, making him look a bit like a sabretooth. He follows Jo from China and has sworn to defeat Jon. He doesn’t know Joni is female and just wants the cure. He doesn’t really care if his opponent is female, but doesn’t see them as challenges. He really likes Madison.
Another rival is named Miranda and she is cursed with Spring of Drowned Snake. She was vacationing in China when she got pushed into the spring. She saw Joanne’s face while drowning and wants revenge. She falls for many guys such as Luke, Jon, and Zane, trying to chase after them.
The monkey rival is nicknamed Ana and she is cursed with Spring of Drowned Monkey. Having passed by and been defeated by Joanne in China, now she wants to have endless fun with her new toy in America. Luke piques her a bit but she’s too blinded by her addiction to having fun.
The ram rival/friend is renamed Adam and he has been cursed with Spring of Drowned Ram. His deadbeat father abandoned him in China and he came to America to work hard to pay off all the debt from the Chinese mafia. He works for Emily’s family and doesn’t like when Jon accidentally sabotages his job offers.

Been watching Ranma 1/2 lately and I had the idea for the spinoff I made for it awhile back. I really want to talk about some episodes I really like and see how to add my own characters to it.
To recap, the protagonist is pretty neutral about their two sides. They prefer to be female and doesn’t really care when people call them. It only becomes an issue when they deliberately wanted to present themselves as female to their school and after they accidentally transform, everyone thinks they’re male.
They escape to the United States and live with their distant relatives under the disguise of a transfer student. They have a younger girl cousin and a male cousin who accidentally finds out they’re able to switch between male and female. He suggests she use her male form to go to school. She heavily refuses as she just wants to be an average girl.
On the first day of school, she only has her tribal clothes and just borrows her cousin’s clothes to blend in. The pants had to be hemmed up and the shirt is a bit too big where it had to be tucked in.
Right before she could enter her class, a vase from the upper floor falls and she manages to only dodge the vase, not the water inside it. She changes into her male form and is introduced with a neutral nickname.
Since she’s not fluent in English and pretty flustered from the transformation, she comes off as cool and mutely handsome. A lot of the guys don’t like her and the girls are too lovestruck. She manages to make friends with another cool and handsome guy, his sister, and a nerdy photographer who is apart of the newspaper club in extension. The photographer is trying to find the latest scoop and may have burned a few bridges for the hottest newspaper article.
On the same day, they’re challenged in PE by a jock. He’s a showoff and wants all the ladies. He’s not afraid to put down others and people he sees as weaklings like the protagonist. They go on separate tennis teams and the protagonist wipes the floor with them. They become lifelong rivals from there.
I really like the tea ceremony martial arts. I didn’t enjoy how it was really used, but it was interesting. Didn’t enjoy the episode though.
I liked how they used matcha powder as smoke bombs. Using the obi wrap as handcuffs was interesting. Using the roses as darts was amazing.
I think this could be some items and a style good for the ram rival.
I had an old idol au of some characters awhile back. I have been really getting back into the genre so I think it would be cool to talk about it.
I would like it to be pretty competitive and there are different genres to it. I really like when they’re on skates, hoverboards, or fighting. It adds something dangerous to the act, but I don’t want it too risky in this series.
Indie idols would be more exclusive to online and local places like cafes. They definitely would like being a virtual idol and doing vr concerts. The recruited idols would definitely have the bigger concerts and upgrades such as ice rinks, hoverboards, and cool theatrical acts.
This mostly showed off the girls than the world they live in. I would think both virtual and real idols would both be equally popular. There would be an idol ranking to determine the best of the best. If indie idols are on the top rankings, they can be recruited by a company and get a higher pay. Idol competitions are normal.
The plot of the series is an average girl who decides to become an idol after seeing a video of one. She is the bottom of the rankings and decides to compete in all sorts of idol activities. She gets into different things like a cooking show, parkour tournament, dance off, and ice skating.
The main plot of the original series was that a deaf girl named Madison wanted to become an idol and join the ranks. She was able to audition and work her way into a famous group called the Dream Catchers.
The prequel of the series was the Dream Catchers breaking into a record company and being recruited as a girl group. They’re mostly a dance group who did not have a knack for singing. They discover they like singing a lot and dancing. They become an idol group afterwards.
I just really liked the members of the group and the outfits. The members were Madison, Ana, Csilla, Cassidy, Allie, and Crystal.
Madison likes dark royal idol outfits and looking very pristine. Her day clothes are usually business casual.
Ana is a free spirit who likes super whimsical idol outfits with bouquets of flowers. Her day outfits are very simple and flowy.
Csilla likes bows and very cutesy outfits, almost Lolita idol outfits. Her day outfits are usually just mostly street clothes since she likes dancing in parks.
Cassidy likes the punk style and a lot of black with red. Her day clothes are pretty similar to her idol outfits.
Allie likes animal and clown themed idol outfits. Her day clothes are usually whatever is on trend.
Crystal likes split color idol outfits and having an angelic-devilish themes. Her day outfits is usually just her uniform or exercise outfit.
The last installment of Digimon: My Digital Story. This is a spinoff before saying goodbye to this series. This is more fusion based than data squad, but DATS does exist in this universe. This is also inspired by a korean show called mix master. Definitely take a watch.
(Fusion) The Digital World and the Human World meet in a small town called Amber Town. It is in chaos and the spread was stopped by a weird force in the town. Digimon are loose everywhere and cannot leave, but it is not their concern. They are more concerned about the competition to be the most powerful digimon ever and be the hero of the Digital World.
The legend is that evil will arise and a portal to the human world opens. A human and the most powerful digimon must work together to defeat the evil. The human is said to be very humble.
Humans are too scared of digimon and digimon don’t like to work with each other. With nothing else to lose, a mad scientist creates the digivice to forge the bond with the digimon and enlists the help of Rosie to get it working. Rosie turns out to be the legendary human and is able to bond with digimon. She befriends Gatomon and BlackGatomon, sisters born from the same digital code. She finds out that the legendary digimon may have not been 1, but 2 digimon.
Join her alongside her best friend Emily with Neemon, crush Evan with Hawkmon, and everyone else.
I really enjoy odd “novelty” martial arts (as you can tell by my previous posts. I really think dancing and martial arts are similar. Ballroom martial arts would be cool.
Samba and tango can add some pretty intense moments. Their footwork is quick and can be dramatic. Lots of kicks and coordination.
Dancing in general would be awesome to see incorporated with some deadly flair. Hip hop and freestyle can get intricate.
As you can tell, I’m not good at giving examples or really illustrating my ideas. I just want to talk about the episode.
This is a rival centered episode. I want to try to add the rich snake rival into this.
The swan, her best friend, and the protagonist go out to watch some ballroom dancing. The protagonist is not particular interested in anything not martial arts related. After the show is over, the snake, who was a part of the dancers, comes up to the girls and flirt.
The only one really quiet and not gushing over him is the protagonist, which catches his interest. He flirts harder and asks her to be his dance partner. The protagonist doesn’t want to, but the girls push her.
The protagonist changes into a slim dance outfit and is taken to a practice room, with the girls watching. The snake teaches her some of the steps and the protagonist begrudging goes along with it. Afterwards, he compliments her and wants to take her to a higher up competition. He was in the local area just for fun and looking for a new girl.
The protagonist refuses to go until he mentions wanting to pay her. She was never the one to turn down money so she agrees.
At the higher up competition, the swan, her best friend, and the protagonist’s friend group is there watching. The competition immediately gets intense when one of the competitors trips her, lowering their score. The protagonist is angry and now is going to get revenge.
The two work together to take out the competitors. The protagonist crushes someone’s foot so badly they cannot continue. The snake manages to rip a girl’s dress to embarrass her. The two are able to skillfully dodge all the jabs too with some quick spins and lifts.
During the strong opponents, the protagonist is able to slash someone’s face with her heel and the snake was able to trip them long enough for them to stand on them as if they were just carpet. They win the grand prize and the protagonist is really happy.
Unknowingly, the snake approached her for a reason and wants to win her heart just to break it. The protagonist broke up with him in China and he tried to drown himself in the Springs. He got saved by the Guide and with a snake body, he vows to get revenge on her.
