Being a horror fan and having comfort characters is so weird. Like, "look at my sweet angel who was sent from the heavens to chase away my worries and woah and to be the light to chase away the darkness." Then its just:

I just came across a theory that Dale is a *weirdo* with children. You know what I mean. Apparently it's implied throughout the film. If there's a credible reason to believe this, then okay. But I personally think some of this theory stems from reading into certain scenes and seeing something sinister in them, like the way he speaks to the doll, kisses the doll and the interaction with the girl in the store. And then it makes me angry because this is exactly the kind of thing that would happen if Dale wasn't a character in a film. If Dale was real, I think he would be accused of this. He could be the local innocent weirdo who's terrible at socialising and trying to fit in. He has one strange yet innocent interaction with a kid to make her laugh, then gets accused of being a *weirdo*. All kinds of rumours would spread from that moment, he'd probably be shunned even further and feel awful for simply not fitting in. And it would all be down to someone taking a dislike to him because he acts out of the norm, and for no other reason. This could apply to any real life person in this situation. And then it makes me sad.

What I love about this image of kobble in particular is that the way his chest is cut off and his jacket is flared makes it look like he has some heavy naturals just hanging off screen. It's also a funny reaction image cause he just looks so done right now.
