Most people the night before an important interview: Oh! I'm so nervous! I have to get there on time, and I have to practice my answers to the potential questions! And I have to dress appropriate! And be there on time!
Me tonight: F U D G E! I messaged the person who would be interviewing me as soon as our interview was scheduled if it would be over the phone or in person and I STILL HAVEN'T GOT A RESPONSE. I DON"T KNOW WHERE I NEED TO BE FOR THE INTERVIEW. Which means I have to get up early tomorrow to call in as soon as they open (I hate talking on the phone) to ask if my interview is in person or via call (another phone call).

Summer Rose Is Sleeping Beauty Theory.
So obviously there's many theories out there on where Summer is or what happened to her and so I'm not sure if this one has been done or talked about yet.
Recently I got my friend into RWBY and she's a mega fan of all things fairytale. As we were watching and I was explaining different character backgrounds/who they're based on, we got onto Summer. She stated how Sleeping Beauty's real name is Briar Rose. Obviously the last names matched but the more we talked about it the more I can see RT doing something similar to Summer.
My theory is that somehow Salem cursed Summer and put her into an eternal sleep that can only be broken by some form of true love. As we've seen in the show, the silver eyes power is based similarly, it activates when you think about your loved ones, happy memories, and the desire to protect. At some point we'll find out that Salem is using Summer to make the hounds while she's in her coma, and Ruby will use "True Love" or her Silver Eyes to wake Summer up. Alternatively, RT can change it from "True Love" to a "Daughter's Love" and bounce off of what they set up in V.9, "A Mother's Promise" -> "A Daughter's Love."

Did I ever tell you guys of when I sent my D&D players through the Ever After from RWBY?
So basically one of my players was going to be missing for a session (my sister, the only one who's seen rwby) so I needed to whip up a one off. So I decided, why not throw them through the Ever After?
So to start off, my campaign isn't rwby related in the least. I wish, but thats for the future. I have a tabaxi bard, a triton paladin, an orc barbarian, and a halfling cleric (the halfling was the missing player this day).
So it starts off with them all going to sleep for the night; the halfling keeping watch. The three of them awake to find themselves falling through the sky before falling onto a mysterious beach. Ocean on one side, and a jungle on the other. The triton IMMEDIATELY jumps into the water and tries to swim away before ANYONE can say ANYTHING. Because vol 9 never explained the whole water and acre conundrum I just said after swimming out for about 200 feet they find themselves falling through the air... and landing right back where they were on the beach previously.
After discussing a course of action and lots of arguing (they argue CONSTANTLY) they all pass through the jungle before they reach the edge of the what I called a floating piece of land in the shape of a hexagon (Look try to describe the acres without calling it an acre I DARE YOU). While questioning what to do to make it over to the other piece of land in the distance, an irregular "cat" appears.
The cat made of sparkling diamond shapes introduces themself as a Cat most Curious, or Ceecee for short. They explain that the three adventurers are in the land of dreams, for the goddess of reincarnation wishes to see them, and that they have 5 hexagons to pass by in order to see her. In order to pass this one they have to answer 3 of 4 riddles correctly. Then Ceecee gives them the riddles, and the three of them pass with flying colors. As they do, a bridge appears and they are onto the next one.
From there, the next hexagon is the red gardens. In the center of it all they meet the Red Prince, and in order to pass they have to solve a crossword type puzzle that ends up stumping them for a solid 20 min with multiple hints 😅. The Prince is as stuck up as he is in rwby, and the orc hates him, but the tabaxi finds him endearing lmao.
Once they pass and move onto the next hexagon its a land covered in black sand. In the center are four doors labeled 6, 7, 8, and 9. The players are rightfully confused and call upon Ceecee. They tell them that one of the doors leads forward, two are fake, and one holds a monster (Its the Jabberwalker. I made stats for both them and the curious cat in case they ended up fighting either lol). They guess the correct door first, but DONT OPEN IT. INSTEAD THEY OPEN UP THE JABBERWALKERS DOOR FIRST LMAO. they close it before they can fight (sad), then open the two fake doors before realizing they guessed right in the beginning. Once they pass through they see the bridge to the next hexagon.
Okay so I had a little fun with this next one- its more a set up for a later joke I will play on them, but its an acre that just a basic grasslands and ponds kinda place. It freaks them out because they kept wondering where the riddle was? At the end they ran into a goose, who was just sitting there watching them walk by. (I plan on putting the goose from Untitled Goose Game in, where they always see him randomly in the most odd spots to thicken weird lore. This was their first meeting XD). They pass through that acre without anything of significance happening. This worries them. HA. Being a DM rules.
The last hexagon/acre they have to go through is these ancient ruins. In the center of the place is a square kind of inset in the ground. They call upon Ceecee again, and they say that all of them must enter the square. As soon as the adventures do, the world turns dark, so that they can only see each other. A manly voice calls to them, and says that in order to be let out, they must decided who must be sacrificed. They panic for like 5 seconds before the triton says he will do it. Not what I the DM expected, but pffft it was pretty funny. As soon as they all agree (they argued over it for 5 out of game minutes) I tell them that they are instantly back where they were, and can see the bridge forward in the distance.
Sitting on a nearby ruin is a holographic looking man. He tells them "congrats! you made it! now leave!" to which the triton asks when he will be sacrificed, to which the man replies "you wont. The test was to see who would be, not to actually be" (I'm not THAT evil of a DM). They begin to ask the man questions, and then notice the small woman in the back, sitting happily. At this point the triton (they are a very loud and talkative character. The player has high charisma irl) they ask if both of them are hot (a normal question from them) now for those of you asking who from rwby they are, its Roman and Neo. So yeah, I naturally replied yup. Then they asked him MORE questions until eventually they tried to convince him to go back with them so he can get a body and he can get together with his lady friend (lmaOOOOO) of which he denied their proposal. He also gave them all nicknames such as Fishsticks (triton), Bluenette (orc has blue hair), and Whiskers (tabaxi). Surprising yet unsurprising they all loved the two of them.
Anyway they eventually moved forward to the tree, where they met the goddess of reincarnation. The campaign world is very homebrew, and I made the blacksmith literally be one of the goddesses of the pantheon. Anyway I had to on spot make up a reason why she wanted to see them (I had planned everything else in one afternoon I missed that detail) and by the end of the meeting, all three of my players were calling her "Mom" to be sent off with milk and cookies 😂😂😂. (None of the characters had a good mom figure in their life)
I had to call it there since it was late and this one shot took like 5 hours and the players were tired, but man, it was worth it on my end. I loved merging rwby over into dnd, and I loved doing improv for the characters. And still they have no idea to this day that its based on rwby.

At the very least, RWBY's deletion off of Crunchyroll confirms that it is NOT the series' new home. So that's one possibility eliminated.
And to be honest? I kinda had a feeling CR wouldn't be interested in picking up the series, so I'm actually not too surprised by this.
As for what RWBY's new home actually is, we'll just have to wait and see. In the meantime, please remember that the series is not entirely lost. You can go watch the whole thing on the RT Archive site, as well as all of Rooster Teeth's other content.
But most importantly, DO NOT LOSE HOPE. RWBY may not be available through legitimate means anymore, but we still can't give up. The series is going to have a new home soon, and this beautiful story will continue. Our favorite girls WILL return to us one day. And I will wait however long it takes to see it happen.
However long it takes for RWBY to come back, I'll be there when it does.

Wanted to contribute to a very important day in the RWBY fandom today. Just got reminded it's the birthday of both Lie Ren AND the late Monty Oum. Of course Ren would share a birthday with the creator who used to voice him 💚
