I didn’t finished it as my fricking cat clicked literally taped on my computer screen as it clicked on ask but what i requested a macaque and wukong x tiger fem reader that she has horns on her head where reader works at a bakery and as how they met is that she was working and macaque and wukong walked in the bakery and saw reader working and they slowly started falling in love as they always came back at the bakery as one day reader finished working she then started walking towards her house until she got attacked and wukong and macaque heard a scream of help and as they went towards the person who screamed for help as they then saw reader beating up the attacker as they saw that they blushed as they saw how strong she was as reader then apologized to them as they saw how she beated up the attacker

Walking the streets after the sun had set was a good way to relieve stress. Especially for two mystic monkeys who didn’t exactly have a good mental health week. Wukong had been overworking himself and not taking any breaks, and Macaque was tired of nagging him about it but wasn’t getting any sleep himself.

What did they decide to do? Stop by their favorite bakery to see their favorite waitress. She knew them by name, knew their favorite snacks, and got along with them. They loved her calming presence and her sweet personality. They got their usuals and began taking the scenic route home.

On their way through the winding streets, Macaque stopped and shushed him so he could listen to something. Then he started running and Wukong followed close behind.

The cries of help he had heard weren’t from who they expected, though.

Y/n was near the back of an alley, fighting off two attackers that were holding her purse. Her true form was out, with blue horns and cool gray fur. Her eyes shone with rage as her tail whipped back and forth. Wukong stepped forward in an effort to get involved, but Macaque stopped him.

“C’mon, she’s clearly got this.” He muttered.

This was true, as y/n used her glowing blue claws to slash at the arms of the robbers. They were driven back as they dropped the stolen goods. They stood still in a panic, and she roared at them. They rushed off, past the two monkeys. The tigress kept up the act of being scary until she was sure they were gone, before taking a breath, dusting herself off, and getting her bag from off the ground. It was then that she noticed the audience.

“Um.” She was speechless. They all blinked at each other awkwardly.

“That was quite the show.” Macaque finally said.

“I didn’t mean…uh, well…” Y/n was fidgeting with her tail.

“Hey, chill out a bit! It was really cool, what you just did!” Wukong approached her with Macaque in tow. They started walking with her.

“Thanks…I’m sorry if I was scary, I don’t mean to be frightening…” she was blushing harshly.

“Scary? Not to us, at least, but you sure gave those guys nightmares for weeks.” Macaque laughed.

“Pretty sure the one guy’s pants were stained, too.” Wukong added. She laughed. They arrived at what they could only assume was her home, and they stayed with her as she unlocked her front door to go inside. She gave them both a warm smile as she bid them goodnight, but they stopped her from closing the door just yet.

Both Macaque and Wukong took one of her hands and pressed a kiss to her knuckles.

“Goodnight, miss y/n.” Macaque stepped away from her, and Wukong followed after winking at her. She stood bewildered as she realized that clearly, this was all about more than just good desserts.

Hey, you at the rendezvous point?

Almost! Once the sign light goes off I’ll meet you in the alley.

Wukong was perched on the roof of the building that not only had MK’s apartment in it, but also Pigsy’s noodles. It’s where he had met y/n, his beloved girlfriend…but also Pigsy’s other adoptive child. She was much more kind and understanding towards him than her father, and also had the kind of energy to keep up with him. It’s why they connected so well!

The only problem was that there was definitely some bad blood between him and Pigsy, which led to the pair deciding to keep things on the down low until Wukong could try to get on Pigsy’s good side.

He snapped back into attention as he saw the pink glow of the shop’s sign go away. Several moments passed as he heard the door to the alley opened and a bag of trash was thrown into the dumpster. He made his move and landed in one of the darker spots.

“Who’s there?” Pigsy’s voice sounded. Wukong immediately turned himself into a bug and prayed that y/n was following behind her father.

“It’s probably one of the stray cats, dad. Chill!” Her voice came from inside the shop, catching the pig’s attention.

“You’re right, you’re right. The darn things have been destroying the trash bags lately.”

“Maybe if we set some food out for them…”

“No, then you’ll get attached. If you want to see some cats, go talk to Sandy.”

Wukong internally sighed. Couldn’t he go on a secret date in peace?!

“Either way, you head home. I’m gonna close up and then go on a walk.”

Finally.

“Alright, but be careful! And don’t talk to strangers!” He nagged her as he went back inside and shut the door. Again, Wukong waited, and then she appeared. Dressed casually enough that it could be work clothes, but still dressy enough to be ready for the date. She locked the door behind her and then looked around. She whistled the theme of “Monkey Cop”, which was their signal to each other when the coast was clear. Wukong got out from under the dumpster and transformed back into his regular form. His heart couldn’t help but skip a beat as she lit up upon seeing him.

“Hey peaches! I missed you!” He approached her and she hugged him, pecking his cheek.

“I missed you too. Are you ready to go?”

“Yup! Remember, we need to be back in an hour or so.”

“Yeah, yeah. C’mon, let’s go!” He took her hand and they hopped onto his nimbus cloud and zoomed off.

They got some takeout from some sushi restaurant and enjoyed it while sitting on the roof. They laughed, they talked, they kissed every now and then. Despite all the constraints, they both enjoyed these special moments together.

“We ought to get going.” She glanced at the clock on her cellphone and even though he hated this part he agreed.

Even with their strong connection and their perfectly healthy relationship, there was no way Pigsy would be okay with them dating. And yet they had been doing so right under his nose for a solid couple of months.

Reluctantly they got back on his cloud and headed back to the alleyway. They landed, and they thought it all was fine…

Until y/n made direct eye contact with her father.

While her arms were loosely wrapped around Wukong’s neck.

“Heyyyy…” she tried to play it all off, but didn’t move. She was stuck in place in fear.

“You—You and him-What the heck?!” He exclaimed. She practically jumped off the cloud and waved her hands.

“It’s not what it looks like!”

“Y/n l/n, you’d better give me a darn good reason to not ground you for life and YOU’D better give me a darn good reason not to beat the immortality out of you!” Pigsy shouted, pointing at y/n and Wukong respectively. They both looked at each other.

“Well, you see—“

“Uhm—“

Despite being alive for thousands of years, no amount of Buddhist teachings or demon fights could have prepared Wukong for how awkward this was. But he furrowed his brow, took one of y/n’s hands, and stood his ground.

“Listen, I know that you’ve got an idea of me that maybe isn’t super positive,” he started. He could feel how sweaty his palm was compared to y/n’s. “But I’m working on it! And y/n here has helped me with that, and she’s also dating me, uh…” he tried to keep the confidence he had when he had started speaking, but he could feel every bit of rage that was radiating off of Pigsy. Y/n squeezed his hand.

“He’s not perfect, but nobody is. If you got to know him, maybe you’d accept him and forgive him.” She finished, a strong determination in her eyes.

Gods, what did he do to deserve her?

Pigsy looked between the two of them multiple times as he processed all of what had been said. He finally pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed heavily. The other two held their breaths.

“This is gonna take a lot of getting used to…” he stepped toward them and they mutually wondered what was about to happen. But to their pleasant surprise, he held out his hand to Wukong. “But if you swear not to hurt her in any way, then I guess you two can be together.”

The way he said it was like he couldn’t believe he had to actually say it, like he couldn’t comprehend that this was happening in real time. But y/n beamed as she embraced her dad.

“Aw, thank you!! Thank you, thank you!”

“I promise I’ll never hurt her.” Wukong said, shaking the hand that was presented to him. He then stood back as Pigsy hugged his daughter back. Then he gave the slightest of nods to Wukong as he went back inside his own apartment. Y/n turned back to her boyfriend, before embracing him too. He started laughing in relief as he picked her up and spun her around.

“Well, expect to see a little more of me, sweetheart.” He winked, setting her down. She stood back a bit as he got back onto his cloud.

“I’ll be looking forward to it!”

And just like that, he was gone, and she was left with a very light feeling in her chest.

Benched(a mini nonsensical rant that no one asked for!)

Y'know, I was thinking about this earlier and I figured this is the best place to say anything.

One of my favorite episodes of LMK is Benched, and here's why:

The creators of the show had a real opportunity for this episode to be a one on one confrontation between Macaque and Wukong. No, their fight in s1 doesn't count--MK was present for that. However, Benched doesn't allow this to happen a second time: they choose to let Tang have a moment.

I think Tang being the one to talk with Macaque inside the lantern was an excellent choice. There's something to be said about how Macaque talks to Tang specifically as opposed to the others. He chooses to compliment him(in his own way), saying how smart he is and then offering up some advice.

"don't take it personally, Tang. Your buddy Wukong values people by how useful they are to him. Take it from me, as an expert on what happens when you get too close to the king...Look out for number one, because if you don't, no one will."

I find this interesting. When Macaque tells the story of the hero and the warrior in "Shadow Play" he mentions over and over the betrayal of being left behind that the warrior felt. The letdown of feeling like the warrior was on equal grounds with the hero, but then everything had to change because of power, and he is projecting this idea right onto Tang.

But Tang IS smart, he IS wise, even if he seems more like a side character, he does HAVE STRENGTH. He sees through what Macaque is trying to tell him.

Macaque is "alone". He, at this point, has no real allies, no one to save him. LBD doesn't count because she ONLY sees him as disposable.

Tang, on the other hand, knows that even if he "[doesn't] bring [anything] to the table" he is not alone. He, especially in the drawing he has from MK, is surrounded by people who love and care about him. People who would save him, and people he has saved himself(see how he shields Mei from the ice when Macaque shows up to begin the ritual). It is a two way street and he knows this.

In that moment inside the lantern, Tang very well could have chosen to believe Macaque and betray MK and Co. But he didn't because he isn't pessimistic like Macaque is. He FINDS that power he needs to get the ring and get out. Powers of friendship, sure, but also it could be how MK needs the confidence to get his powers--Tang needs reassurance(even from himself) in order to find his own strengths. Multiple times throughout the show, he follows his gut and most of the time he's correct(Spider Queen in s1, following the Golden Cicada in s3) so of course he would be confident in himself and his relationships and use that power.

I just find their interaction along with Tang's character interesting.

Redson, Mayor, Syntax, and Macaque Confession Headcanons!

Redson - it’s so elaborate and dramatic. They most definitely take you out for a meal first, then after that, they drive you to a special place—probably where you two met or something—and they show you this whole setup with flowers, candles, the whole shebang in order to make it all perfect. It’s like straight out of an anime. They tell you that the past few months are some of the best months of their life. That you’ve really been so kind to them, that you’re one of the only people they can truly tolerate for long periods of time and they appreciate you…and would you like to date them?

Mayor - not as elaborate as Redson, but still very romantic. He’s old fashioned in and out, so he probably takes you to dinner and then to the park so you two can see the sunset. Then he’ll take one of your hands and say he wants to tell you something. That he knows he’s not super perfect or anything, but he’s really happy when he’s with you, and he feels genuinely alive when he’s with you. The man’s a zombie, but he’s doing his best for everyone and his city. But he wants to be with you. Do you want to be with him, too?

Syntax - he’s pretty limited in how he would do it. He thinks he’s really only got one chance, since hey, he’s not exactly the perfect boyfriend material. I could see him doing a video and sending it to you so that way he doesn’t have to say anything face to face, since he’s pretty emotionally reserved. He admits to you that he’s really book smart, he can do calculations in his sleep, but love isn’t something he’s well-versed in. And yet, he’s 100% sure it’s what he’s feeling when he’s around you. Give him a call if you…wanna go out, or something…(awkward spider noises)

Macaque - drama king, coming through. This man waits for the perfect chance, and to him, it’s: going out in the rain with you, dancing, getting up to your usual playful banter, and then stopping to catch your breaths. He probably brushes your hair out of your face. Then he tells you that he’s not that much of a people person, that he trusts so slowly these days that he doesn’t feel like he can keep good relationships with a lot of people. But you…you’re so endlessly patient and kind with him. He understands if you don't feel the same, but would you like to give him a chance? Just this once?

Monkey Trio (separately) x Wise, Blind GN Reader Headcanons!

MK - he thinks you’re pretty cool! Kinda bad at remembering you can’t see—it leads to the occasional bumping into a doorway—but he’s alright. Consults you for wisdom when he can’t get any from Monkey King or Tang. Every once in a while he convinces you to look into the future for him. Mostly for silly things, like finding out stuff about upcoming video games, but there’s times when he needs to know that it’ll all be okay. You just have to reassure him that yeah, you’ll all be fine.

SWK - not gonna lie, you probably remind him of Tripitaka to a certain degree. But he doesn’t let that affect your friendship with him! He’s really good about guiding you when you need him to. If you allow him to, he’ll make you a really cool looking stick so you can feel your way around(you really have to take his word for it that it looks cool). He never outright asks you to look into the future. More often than not he implies it, and then listens to every word you tell him about it.

Macaque - he’s half blind with six ears that he can hear into the past and future with, so I think you two would connect really well! Guides you with his voice but if you’re still about to walk into something he’ll use his tail to get you out of the way. You two talk about the future a lot—the good and the bad. But at the end of those conversations he always says something along the lines of “we’ll deal with all that when it happens”. Asks you for advice sometimes but not a whole lot since he thinks he’s too cool for that.
