he’s not fooled by your pouting. “you can research tomorrow,” he tugs you closer. “we’re cuddling tonight.”

okay. fine. you do grab your phone and jot everything you need to know down in your notes app. then you turn over after he loosens his grasp on you enough for you to do so. “happy?”

he smiles at you, snuggling into your arms. “very. i love your big brain,” he presses a chaste kiss against your neck. “but one of us has to keep our sleep schedules from getting messed up again.”

and it has to be him. you’d get carried away with another thing to research thoroughly otherwise. “yeah, yeah… thank you, cheollie.”

“tell me about it in the morning.” and he means it as a promise to listen. seungcheol could listen to you talk about different cereal brands if it meant he could see the way your eyes light up when you get passionate. you love the way he doesn’t stop you unless he has to. your passions are safe with him, another little thing he can use to dig himself deeper in love with you.

so you just kiss the crown of his head. “i will. thank you, cheollie.”

and he just chuckles, squeezing you once. “i love you, too.”

“soonie, my feet hurt…” you pouted, thinking you were going to get an earful about how he told you to wear comfy shoes and you chose to ignore him.

sure, comfy shoes are practical but high heels were cuter with your outfit.

he immediately stopped walking and put his hands on his hips, shaking his head at you. “i told you not to wear those shoes!” he scolded lightly before he began unlacing his own shoes and taking them off.

he then got down on his knee and tenderly helped you out of your shoes, placing his own on you right away so your feet never touched the ground.

your tried to kick him away since you didn’t want him to have to go through all the trouble but he held you firmly and tied his laces tight on you so they wouldn’t slip off.

“you don’t have to do that…” you said softly, “it’s my fault i didn’t wear good shoes,” you mumbled, knowing you were telling the truth though it was something you didn’t like to admit.

you felt bad that your poor planning caused soonyoung to sacrifice his feet for your comfort.

“nothing’s your fault, sunshine,” he said with a cheery smile, “plus now i get to wear your shoes,” he said, slipping them on.

he struck a pose in your shoes that completely clashed his outfit and his style— plus they were clearly too small for him.

“i bet i could walk in heels better than you,” he teased, trying to lighten the mood since he could tell that you felt bad.

“you’re ridiculous, your feet are gonna hurt if you wear those,” you laughed softly. though you couldn’t deny that he was good at walking in heels, surprisingly so.

soonyoung just pulled you into him and planted a kiss on the top of your head. “better my feet than yours! what kind of boyfriend would i be if i let you walk around in pain?” he questioned, being absolutely appalled at the thought.

a sudden realization dawned and you, “what if you twist your ankle and you can’t dance?” you ask, looking up at him with a panicked expression, you hadn’t even thought of that before.

he looked at you with a deadpan expression, “if i twist my ankle then you have to nurse me back to health, i’d call that a win,” he said with a cheeky smile, continuing to drag you along and walk with him.

“i’m being serious, soonyoung,” you said with an eye roll, “i’d feel terrible,” you said honestly.

“and i’m being serious too! watch!” he exclaimed, letting go of you and breaking into a run, the clack of your heels echoing off the pavement as he ran forward.

your mouth dropped open at his actions and you put a hand to your head. “you will be the death of me, kwon soonyoung!” you called out to him as he continued to run.

“race you home! last one there has to give latte a bath!” he called over his shoulder, giving himself a head start.

this made your ears perk up, it was impossible to coax your dog into bath time and he knew it. you started to run after him, his bigger shoes being on didn’t stop you from attempting to catch up to him.

“no fair! you’re cheating!” you yelled after him, watching how he just turned his head back to you and stuck out his tongue.

so here you were, just a guy sprinting in high heels and a person running after him in huge sneakers yelling expletives while laughing.

now soonyoung had successfully distracted you from feeling bad about switching shoes, and your feet were nice and comfortable.

sure, his feet were also in great pain thanks to your very uncomfortable shoes plus the fact that they were too small for him. but, whenever he looked over his shoulder he was met with your laughing face which seemed to cure his pain.

all he wanted was for you to be comfortable and if sprinting down the block in high heels that made his feet scream was the answer, he’d do it a million times over.

“so… what is your favourite thing to do with your boyfriend?”

all of your friends look at you since you’re one of the girls with boyfriends. putting your wine glass down you hum in thought. they all start giggling and you realise why. blush creeps at your cheeks as you frantically shake your head.

“it’s not–“ you choke out, your words dying in laughter. the friend sitting next to you, rina, nudges your arm.

“i mean if seungcheol was my boyfriend i’d say it too” she chuckled.

“but i didn’t even say it!” you huff in defence, crossing your arms “yeah, okay. all things happening in the bedroom are nice, i agree but… i like the mundane things, you know?”

they look at you like you lost your mind.

“no but sara, what about you?” you ask, another girlfriend in the room. she smiles and nods her head.

“i guess you’re right. i like midnight walks with binnie” she says, a feeling of relief washing over you. you wink at her and continue the conversation about why your single friends don’t understand your boyfriends.

opening the door to your shared apartment, the smell of ramyeon fills your nostrils. you took off your shoes leaning against the wall, failing to notice seungcheol arriving in the hallway.

“you’re back early”

you look up and send him a soft smile. he noticed your cheeks are dusted with pink, probably due to the alcohol.

“yeah, i missed you” you giggled. it was true “it was nice meeting with them but towards the end the conversation got weird, rina got drunk and almost texted her ex… yeah”

shaking your head you walked up to seungcheol and rested your hands on his shoulders, biting your bottom lip in thought.

“i wasn’t sure if you ate or not but there’s some ramyeon left” he hummed, dimples appearing on his cheeks. you looked up and shook your head gently, looking into his eyes

“i’m fine. we had some dinner and then a glass of wine. but i’m a bit tired though” you said frankly, leaning in to press a kiss on his cheek. his smile widened, arms sneaking to wrap around your waist.

“i’ll just wash the dishes and join you…” he started and before he could add that you should go wash off your makeup in the meantime, you were already walking towards the kitchen.

knowing there’s no point in convincing you, seungcheol joined you. while he started washing the dishes that were already in the sink, you brought some bowls and cups that were left on the dining table. then you scooted over closer to him and put on the gloves, helping him out.

arms touching, you could hear his soft breathing. when a bit of water splashed his t-shirt because the mug in your hand slipped a bit, he let out a dramatic gasp.

“‘m sorry” you giggled, making puppy eyes at him. cheol shook his head, rolling his eyes. knowing that meant he wants a different apology, you stood on your toes and smooched the corner of his mouth.

“it’s the second time you’re missing a spot today, darling” he grunted, pouring some more soap onto the sponge “i might think there’s something wrong”

“would you rather i grabbed your face with the gloves that are dirty with some left-over ramyeon and soap and then kissed you?” you snickered, nudging his arm. after a long time of silence he mumbled a quiet no and resumed washing the dishes.

a smile crept on your face as you scraped off the burned remains of what were supposed to be pancakes this morning.

Mark's not a huge fan of scary ride while you're an adrenaline junkie. When you two decided to have an amusement park date, Mark knows that he is bound to ride those scary rides like viking, roller coaster, and space shuttle. You told him that it's okay if you two wouldn't ride those and just enjoy the rides that he can tolerate but Mark wants you to enjoy the date! (it's a waste of money too lol) that's why even if he can feel his soul leaving out his body, he'll be happy to join you in the fun, if it'll make you happy!

Huang Renjun ; carries all your necessities in his bag. 

In the relationship, Renjun's the big bag and you're the small purse. You always justify that all you need is your phone, wallet, and a small tinted balm. BUT Renjun knows that's not the case. So he brings all the necessities that you needed. It started raining? He has an umbrella. Oh, you feel so hot? He has a mini fan. You need a tissue? Yeah, he has a huge roll in his bag. His bag is like Doraemon's pouch, and although it's kinda heavy, he doesn't mind as long as he has everything that you need. <3

Lee Jeno ; brings you home whenever your energy is low during a gathering. 

"Do you want to go home?" is the first thing Jeno will say to you. Both being introverts, Jeno understands whenever your social battery deflates a few hours later in a gathering. While he can hold it further than you, Jeno wants to make sure that he's not the only one who's having fun. SO if he sees you tired, quiet, and on your phone, he knows that your energy is low. Even if it means cutting the gathering short, Jeno is fine with it. What matters is you. He'll bring you home even if you insist you're fine, but in the end, you'll thank your lover for bringing you home early.

Lee Donghyuck ; gives you space whenever you're having a hard time.

Haechan knows when you're in a bad mood. He knows it by the way you enter the apartment without greeting him, the way you removed your shoes aggressively, and going straight to your room and slamming the door loudly. Haechan doesn't get mad whenever you ignore him because he knows that your emotion is just all over your head and you don't want to vent your anger to him. That's why he'll give you space for you to cool down. Letting you inside your room or just giving you a quiet assurance that he's there. Once you're all calm down, you'll go to him and apologize for your behavior, but Haechan only hushes you with a hug and ask you what's wrong. 

Na Jaemin ; brings his jacket so that you won't get cold. 

Jaemin's the warm person while you're the colder one. So the tendency is that you get cold easily! Just even the cold temperature of the night can give you shivers. That's why Jaemin always make sure that he has his jacket with him. Sometimes he wears it even though he's sweating under his shirt but most of the time, he just carries it by his hands. You probably had a collection of Jaemin's sweater and jacket in your closet because of the many times you brought it home but always forgetting to give it back to him. (He's okay with it fortunately.)

Zhong Chenle ; lets you do the silliest thing in public.

Chenle always puts a cool image in public. So casual with the shades and hands in his jeans pocket while you're just as unhinge as you can be. You tend to let your intrusive thoughts win that's why you always do the silliest things in public. Like doing a tiktok trend in public, although Chenle isn't the type to do it publicly, he'll be willing because you want to! Plus it's a couple tiktok trend so it's also a matter of him to flex you and your relationship with him! 

Park Jisung ; try to learn new things for you. 

Dates with Jisung is always composed of trying new things. That's how he shows his love for you! You wanted to try clay pottery? Jisung will find an affordable pottery session so that you two can try. You wanted to bake a cake? He doesn't know how but he's willing to research a recipe just so you can try it! He loves it too because he learns new things and hobbies that he may want to indulge furthermore. Plus, you two always rate the new things you two do and how doable it was.

wonwoo's camera roll was full. which only meant one thing: time to save all the pics to his laptop. he inserts the sd card into the computer and opens the file. his face instantly lights up. you had always been shy in front of camera lens. meeting wonwoo was one of the best moments of your life, but it still took time for you to adjust to his captures. that didn't stop him from considering you his muse, the one he's love to click again and again and again. seeing you smiling in the pictures he took warmed his heart. you could be camera shy, but he only ever loved capturing you.

you'd always been mesmerised hearing hao speak chinese. he doesnt use it very much; pretty much only when he's calling his family or sometimes when speaking with junhui, who's also from china. to say chinese was becoming second to him wouldnt be false because he's using so much korean in his daily life. one day, while walking around the house, he hits his toe on the couch and lets out a sharp curse in his mother tongue. you gasp and say "oh my! hao just cursed," and hao quickly turns his head towards you. it's not what you said, it was how you said it that surprised him. you had responded to him in chinese?? you explain to him how you started taking small classes in learning chinese so that he could converse comfortably with you too. you even asked him to help you. hao swore once again, but in his head. someone was ready to go to such lengths for him? he's truly fallen in love with you.

seungkwan had begged for you to stay overnight. it was difficult of course, because you both were tired from work. but when he pulls the ultimate puppy eyes, you couldn't really refuse. you went through an elaborate routine of doing skincare and bathing as a way of relaxing, and watching sappy sitcoms until you both fell asleep to the white noise of the tv. seungkwan woke up first, but his breath hitched seeing you asleep next to him. apart from the little snores and a string of drool from the corner of you mouth, you looked so adorable, snuggled in next to him; so tiny, and so so cute. he stayed there, watching you, silently wishing he could see you like this every morning.

everyone says hansol has a weird sense of humour. it's not that he doesn't make good jokes, it's just that no one reacts in the way he wishes. so when he goes, "why did the bicycle take a nap? because it was two-tiered" and you end up crying of laughter among the dead silence of his friends, he feels a blush creep up his cheeks. someone who laughs at his corny jokes? that has to be the soulmate he never believed in.
