CONSIDER: a stick of truth style AU in which Stan and Kyle were really close best friends... until Stan got kicked out of the royal family (could be cause he got wrongly accused of something, or maybe an incident happened.) Anyhow, Stan loses his royal Knight status and is banished from the castle. They lose contact completely.

Cut to years later - Kyle, the crown elf prince, is now in danger and must be escorted to a safe place faraway. There's only one person capable for the job - his former personal knight, Stan!!! And now they must embark on a journey.

But things don't go smoothly - a lot of hate and resentment was built between Stan and Kyle over the years and boy, they sure take it on each other during the journey. Stan resents Kyle for not standing up to him back then (but little did he know - Kyle actually did everything in his power to make sure Stan's punishment wasn't imprisonment or banishment from the elf kingdom)
