And he's so filled with love. Suddenly so grateful for his lovely, kind, brave children, that are broken and hurt but still wrestle themselves into some form of family for each other.

He's so awed that they chose him to be their father, that they're his family. A family that he twenty years ago could've only imagined, only hoped for.

His babies. His difficult, stubborn, loving children. Dick with his selflessness, Jason with his big, bleeding heart, Tim with his kindness and his camera, Duke with his determination to keep his city alive, Damian that's still discovering how much he cares every day. His sons.

Babs with her will of steel, refusing to let anything keep her down, Cass with her careful actions and genuine belief that people are capable of redemption and changing, Steph with her stubbornness and bravery. His girls—two of them don't consider themselves his daughters, but they're still his girls.

And he loves them. Christ, he loves them.
