he likes to read books! the first night sophie spent at everglen, she describes waking up the following morning to find fitz curled in an armchair reading a book with some title like 101 Ways To Catch The Wind. this was taught to sophie in her level 2 class only a few chapters later, so that means FITZ ALREADY KNEW HOW TO DO THAT. this dumbass just decided to sit down and READ THAT BOOK FOR FUN

he likes to hold hands so, so much! it’s on his mind all the time! when sophie’s enhancing ability was triggered, he slipped his hand into hers and upon feeling the rush, said something similar to, “wow, this is going to make me want to hold your hand even more,” while smiling. b-BITCH?? EXCUSE ME??? I LOVE YOU???

he is scared of looking directly into sophie’s eyes for too long because eye contact with her is very intimate and it makes him a fluttery even though he tries to keep his cool! 

he likes dinosaurs and dragons and he owns a fucking sparkly dragon stuffie that he named mr!! fucking!! snuggles!!

he bakes!! he loves baking!! he’s GOOD AT BAKING!!

he bakes for his friends just because he wants to see them happy!! he suddenly decides that he needs to make them a treat at 11pm at night because he wants to bring it to them the following morning!!

he sees something in an atlantis shop and it makes him think of his friends!! and he gets it for them!! he gets gifts for them because he sees these things and thinks of them and goes “oh they’d like that”!!!

this DORK did not know what to get his friends originally though so he was a DUMBASS and got them all pens but now he CONSTANTLY TRIES TO PICK OUT PERSONAL ITEMS FOR THEM

he barely had any friends!! he had keefe!! and even then he sat at BIANA’S lunch table with BIANA’S friends because he’s AWKWARD

yall know that keefe and fitz are both at the top of the elven social structure... right? you know keefe didn't grow up some kind of poor disparaged boy... right? you know that while keefe had incredibly manipulative and emotionally unavailable parents, fitz had unrealistic expectations and a preexisting legacy (pun intended) he had to carry practically since he was born, and that only doubled when he manifested and was tasked with bringing sophie to the lost cities... right? so can we PLEASE appreciate how these boys found each other to take comfort in, and have some semblance of a normal school life despite their lives and upbringing that would have made them social outcasts otherwise?
