Bruce Wayne is 30 when he decides that enough is enough. The playboy lifestyle is tiring. So when he comes across Dick, Jason, Tim and Cass AKA adorable orphans with their own set of Issues, he knows that he has a chance to do something good---give them a home. Only the agency won’t let him adopt them as a single dad. When Selina Kyle, his on-again off-again girlfriend and the only ex he remains friends with comes back into town after a year in Paris, Bruce realizes that she might just be the solution to all his problems.

Bruce and Selina get pretend married For The Children. But when the month is up and they no longer need to put up a pretense, who knows what’s real and what’s fake? 

Selina’s halfway into a decent glass of wine when Bruce Wayne shows up at her door with disheveled hair and a casually wrinkled suit that does wonders for his face. 

“Selina,” he says, dark eyes peering at her almost shyly. His voice is as low and warm as it’s always been when he says her name and oh---she’s over it. She is so over it. Right? 

She’s about to make a joke or something---she doesn’t really know, honestly---but he beats her to it.

“I need you to marry me,” he blurts out. 

What. 

Selina blinks, head tilting in a combination of confusion and lightly buzzed amusement. She steadies herself against the door frame. 

Bruce blushes, the bastard. “Sorry, what I mean is---” He pauses, gives her a pleading look she can count on one hand that she’s ever seen him give. 

“I need you to fake marry me.” 

When I hear the avengers theme music my brain’s like “yeah cool heroic okay” but when I hear the Wonder Woman theme music every cell in my body starts vibrating, I become convinced I’ve been imbued with Amazonian strength and it takes an inordinate amount of willpower to stop myself from punching a hole in the wall out of sheer pumped-ness.

All the people you’ve been,  which one is you?
