To Be Honest, Nemisis Is The Goddess Of Justice. Hestia Is The Goddess Of Hospitality. Ive Read All The

To be honest, Nemisis is the goddess of Justice. Hestia is the goddess of hospitality. I’ve read all the myths. In the myths, he hid and protected and cherished only the most powerful of his children. He only protected Perseus when he was a baby, he hid Dyonisus away as a little girl, and in the myths, the only thing he did to hide Heracles was name him ‘Hera’s Glory,’ which is what Heracles translates to.

He was better on his godly children, giving Apollo and Artemis the gifts they desired. He was horrible to Ares, though. He despises Ares because Zeus does not yearn for war. He loves Athena because she is strategy and good at calming her father.

I, personally, enjoy the way Rick Riordan portrays the gods, especially Zeus. Compared with the original myths, Zeus is very accurate. He’s depicted not only as a king, but as a person with flaws, which is how the Ancient Greeks portrayed the gods themselves. Zeus was prideful, not very humble, and he has a hot temper. On the other hand, he’s respectable, in many cases just, and often times intelligent.

Riordan portrays Zeus as the Ancient Greeks did, as a person with high points and low points. I hate it when people portray the Greek gods as perfect because that isn’t how the Greeks portrayed them. If you read the myths, they often take their anger out at mortals, like the myth of Medusa and almost every child Zeus had. The gods in the myths had their flaws, often doing horrible things for no reason other than their pride being wounded by either each other or mortals.

About how Zeus is portrayed

I will admit yes, he is a guy who has way too many affairs and way too kids.

BUT he is king. He is the god of justice, of hospitality, of law and order.

He is the strongest of the gods and the most powerful.

He who loves his children and gladly gave Artemis and Apollo their wishes when they came to Olympus. He adores his kids and loves his family. He loves greatly and a great many.

He is not perfect but I do greatly respect him for his achievements and as he is KING.

I personally don’t like how Riordan portrays him, I prefer George O’Connor’s portrayal.

For Zeus is king. He is the greatest of the Greek gods. Lord of justice, order, and hospitality

So regardless if you hate or love him, you better respect him.

Okay okay okay. So you know how in Kane Chronicles, there’s a fifth element? And how it’s cheese? Well I just had a thought.

Water. Earth. Fire. Air. Cheese.

Long ago, the five nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all five elements, could stop them. But when the world needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years passed and my brother and I discovered the Avatar, a cheesebended named Aang. And although his cheesebending skills are great, he still has a lot to learn before he’s ready to save everyone. But I believe, Aang can save the world.

OKAY YOU CAN CONTINUE.

I’m tired of Slytherins being villainized in the Harry Potter books. You could argue that no, they weren’t by pointing out charachters like Slughorn and Narcissa Malfoy, but I mean in the houses at school.

Think about it. I dare you to name one Slytherin who was a student while Harry was there who did good things and helped fight against the oppression of Voldemort and Umbridge. I’m not even talking Harry’s year! There aren’t any.

I, for one, have a hard time believing that of all the students in the Slytherin house, not one wanted to join the DA. Not one wanted to fight against the Death Eaters. Not one hid out in the Room of Requirement during the 97-8 school year because they were facing possible torture in their own house, just for not wanting to obey the terror of Snape’s regime. Not one single Slytherin stayed to fight against the Death Eaters.

No wonder people who’ve read the books think Slytherin is the evil house. Rowling wrote it so it was. The only good Slytherins we see are few and far between. They’re adults, having graduated already. Even Regulus Black isn’t stated to become a good guy until after he graduated. We don’t see Andromeda Tonks(née Black) as a student at Hogwarts.

I want to see more good Slytherin students during Harry’s time at Hogwarts. I want to see the few that defied the rest of their house and joined the DA, that hated Umbridge and Snape, that fought against Voldemort.

Come on, Rowling. You want no house to be villainized? Make it so we can’t.

I can never understand how Snape apologetics can stand up for him when he CANONICALLY does this shit.

I can maybe, maybe, understand those who haven’t read the books standing up for him, because honestly the movies don’t cover all the horrible stuff he does. But those who have read the books and still stick up for him baffle me.

I mean, you don’t see anyone sticking up for the Dursley’s or Umbridge, when they do the same stuff to Harry as Snape. How is Snape any different?
