(I Love This In General And In Particular As Someone Who Doesn't Like The Villain!Hawks Trope.)
(I love this in general and in particular as someone who doesn't like the Villain!Hawks trope.)
Thinking about a crack-ish fic where another Hawks comes in from another world, except he's a villain. And Dabi thinks this is the best case scenario. He just won the lottery. Until he realizes he was completely wrong. Hawks isn't a build-a-bear where Dabi can isolate these qualities about him that he likes. Because he doesn't, in fact, like this Hawks. He likes his Keigo.
Except his Keigo is beyond pissed at him for this stunt and will barely even look at him now. Villain Hawks notices what happened, obviously, and thinks this is fucking hilarious. Just entirely unhelpful comments the whole time. "Ooooh you fucked up so bad. Do you know how much we love attention? And you ignored him for a different him? He'll never forgive you."

"Crack-ish" this is incredibly angsty. I'm gonna write it.

Tempted to wait a whole year to post it just so it can be a part of it. Do I have a problem
Literally heartbroken that I didn't finish my Hawks one-shot in time for Hurthawksweek2022. Ashamed of myself.
Uncreative writing
"Morally wrong characters must face direct consequences/condemnation" is probably the worst writing advice ever, and I'd argue it ruined so many interesting characters and hindered talented writers more than any other advice.
These days I've been feeling a little bitter whenever I think about my high school crush but I was just sorting through my stuff and found my old drawing book, with a half-done drawing of him on the last used page, very tiny, like I was afraid someone could see it if I made it any bigger, and it made me smile
It's like a reward
You're allowed to objectify Hawks, but only after you get the proper certification proving you understand the tangling and daunting depths of his characterization on a deeper level. Then you can put him in booty shorts.
