some people think writers are so eloquent and good with words, but the reality is that we can sit there with our fingers on the keyboard going, “what’s the word for non-sunlight lighting? Like, fake lighting?” and for ten minutes, all our brain will supply is “unofficial”, and we know that’s not the right word, but it’s the only word we can come up with…until finally it’s like our face got smashed into a brick wall and we remember the word we want is “artificial”.

skyress did have an undescribed relationship with his mother- no one knows how shiori ended up with her before she gave her to shun. they are both female but who knows how the heck human/bakugan reproduction would work anyway.
What I’m guessing is she just found Skyress randomly, or got Skyress from a player that didn’t want to play anymore, and was giving away their bakugan.
I’ve always seen bakugan as the same as ability cards, but bigger; energy bodies. It’s revealed by Dr Michael that ability cards are energy bodies, so wouldn’t the things they work with also be energy bodies?
If they are energy bodies, you could probably just Holy Spirit a child into existing. Skip the first step of reproduction by literally just phasing it into existence inside the mother?
We also know bakugan can have masked forms (see; the legendary soldiers). I’d assume if you can’t Holy Spirit a baby into existence, then you’d need a masked form???

One thing i really love about spy x family is this pattern where they do the emotional thing thats true to themselves instead of the rational objective thing that would be good for the mission, and in the long run that turns out to be the best move.
Take the school interview. Getting furious on Anya’s behalf when the asshole makes her cry and storming out was objectively a pretty bad move for the mission. Operation strix could have ended right there. But at the same time, showing their decency and care for their daughter won over henderson and things worked out. Plus, because they acted like a real family in that moment, it puts them beyond suspicion. Imagine if someone later tried to convince henderson that loid was a spy, and they only enrolled anya to infiltrate the school. He’d laugh in their face! He’d say let me tell you a story about how they nearly didn’t get in because they loved their daughter so much, theres no way that family are spies.
Another great example is Anya’s relationship with Damian. Punching him in the face on day one… not a great move for operation “get close to Damian and use that friendship to get info on his dad” But in the long run, this again puts Anya above suspicion. If someone later tried to tell Damian that his friend Anya just got close to him to spy on him, he’d think it ridiculous. He’d say of course thats not the case, we hated each other when we first met, if she wanted to spy on me she’d have tried to suck up to me like everyone else.
Despite being a story all about deception, the way the narrative consistently rewards the Forgers for acting like a real family and being true to themselves gives it this really sweet wholesome core. It emphasizes that this is a story about the fake family becoming real and all of them becoming their best selves in the process.
What's your opinion on Alucard doing typical romance stuff? 👀
God my opinion here is probably going to get a rock thrown at my head. I could talk forever about Alucard and love but this is about typical romance stuff so I'm trying not to talk about how I think he processes romantic love lmao.

Anyway, I think it's important to note that I think he can feel romantic love towards others, but it's never quite "pure" because his brain is so smoothie scrambled. I think it's been like this for at least a century, including back when he was Dracula.
Alucard's been living a life outside of his own volition, and truth be told I don't think his enslavement to Hellsing would allow him much time to like... be interested in someone, take them out on a date, etc. If we assume that the last time he did something romantic was when he was The Count, that's at least around 100 years of letting "courtship" skills atrophy.
Ngl I think he could still do a few "romantic" things, because he's smart and knows how people behave and could probably hold a flirtatious conversation with someone over a candlelit dinner or moonlit walk easily enough, but the other thing I think about is... whether or not he'd really find his enjoyment with someone he likes through that sort of thing. No matter how you slice it, Alucard is a violent, bloody murderer who enjoys being a violent bloody murderer and takes vocal interest in people who show some sort of badassery. What he seems to like, and therefore what may lead him to falling someone, veers towards violence.
I also don't really think he'd be the type to crave dates or anything like that, nor do I see him as the sort to care about anniversary milestones like many people do. For the latter, his perspective of passing time is completely different from ours, being a nigh immortal vampire and all that. For the former, his life is, as was stated, dictated by someone else and he's Stockholm syndrome-y about it, contented despite the fridge horror.
So yeah. I guess to summarize: I sorta feel like Alucard could act the part of a romantic vampire a little bit, but someone he'd fall for would probably have something wrong enough with them that the acts he'd want to do with them are not typically seen as romantic (unless you're like me and you think fighting side by side or death battling counts as romance languages). He's got a million diseases and I think it's important to consider them when thinking about him in any romantic context

the tragedy of Haibara Yu

The important point of Haibara’s tragedy is not centered on his death, but what his death subsequently caused to two persons he was closest to; Getou and Nanami.
Haibara Yu is first introduced during the Hidden Inventory arc as Nanami’s classmate. They are sent as backup for Gojo and Geto who are escorting Amanai Riko before her merger.
Right on his first appearance, his upbeat going-all-out attitude is emphasized, in contrast to Nanami’s seriousness, as he criticizes how the mission is not fit for their level. In his profile, he is said to have not came from jutsushi family, but has a sister who can see curses. He is also described to be someone who likes people. In addition he really looks up to Getou and that feeling is not completely one-sided.
