Your character is on a road trip with their friends, who have plenty of food to share. Maybe they don't want to make a mess, maybe they're worried about eating too loud, maybe the snacks are just out of reach and they don't want to ask, but they wind up eating next to nothing for the duration of the long journey.

After going hungry all day during the long ride to their destination, your character hopes to finally eat something upon arrival, but it turns out their group's plans don't involve food for a while.

Your character is on a long plane ride, and they're absolutely starving. When the flight attendant comes around, though, they're too shy to order any food, simply saying that they're fine and immediately regretting it.

Your character tends to get motion sick and doesn't want to upset their tummy too much during their trip, so they overcompensate by not eating anything at all.

It's late at night. Your character is sharing a hotel room with somebody and the room is silent as they're both trying to fall asleep, except for all the noises one of their bellies keeps making.

Your character is so worried about making sure they pack all their clothes and other necessities for their trip that they forget to pack any snacks for the long journey.

Your character has to be at their destination by a certain time. Not wanting to be late, they avoid stopping for anything, including food.
