Hold up- I never noticed this but I'm kinda freaking out now.
Also, since Lego wasn't going to make a 3rd season originally, then it wasn't like, planned. That was just. They wrote the characters well enough to add on how they would "relapse" so to speak, and that's incredible to me.
And the fact that all of it still fits they're season 16 selves is pretty impressive to me.
Why have I never noticed the “in season 4 the main 4 ninja revert to how they were before their true potential, losing what they learned when they character developed in season 1.”
In s1 Jay learned to be himself instead of lying to impress people, in s4 he becomes a tv host where he’s only concerned with impressing an audience even if it means hiding who he is.
In s1 Cole learns that if he keeps trying, he won’t disappoint his father and his father will accept him for who he is and he doesn’t need to hide from his past, in s4 he tries to suppress being a ninja and gave up completely, trying to live a life of mundane work to draw less attention to himself.
In s1 Kai learns he doesn’t need to be the main hero and he’s already heroic enough as he is and that protecting others is more important and he should stop trying to base his worth on his title, in s4 Kai feels like he should’ve made the big sacrifice instead, that he failed as a ninja and gives up entirely, turning to alcoholism and underground fighting, even, for a moment, reverting back to wanting to be the green ninja.
In s1 Zane didn’t remember who he was and was shocked to find out who he was and had to move on from his past and find his new family, in s4 he lost his memories once again, became afraid of a power that came from himself (the dragon), and had to fight to reunite with his family.
Im screaming.
I want to hear from as many Jews as possible on this one so reblogs for a larger sample size would be appreciated!
