Might fuck around and uhhhhhh read a book in one day. Konrad Curze: the Night Haunter. Was a very entertaining read. Loved the perspective shifts and Curze’s dialog with Corax. Any story with Sevatar is 10/10. Loved seeing some of the omnibus characters make an appearance. Skraivok a bitch and his ass beating at the hands of Raldoron was deserved. Love how the tradition of the VIII and the IX bullying each other has been going strong since the heresy. The scene where the statue “talks” to Curze was interesting too. Overall I just love the trash fire of a legion that the night lords are and the disaster man that is their primarch. What am I doing now? Already starting prince of crows? Couldn’t be me..

Finished the first heretic today. Life is pain. Loved this book for the complex characterization it gives the Word Bearers. Argel Tal is a wonderful character and it truly hurt me to see him go through so much. Might just go reread Betrayer with this new context. I want to feel bad for Lorgar but he is the one that chooses to walk the path that others have put him on. He has a moment of his own clarity but unfortunately that doesn’t last long and by then it’s far too late. Always smiling to see the midnight clad squad make an appearance. Love how disgusted Curze is at the demon stuff. Cyrene did nothing wrong.

Just finished Brothers of the Snake by Dan Abnett. 10/10 most wholesome space marine book I have ever read. There’s a whole doggo that’s central to the plot. The MC is a good dude just trying to do his best. The librarian is hilarious and there’s a lovely cranky dreadnought. It’s seriously the warhammer equivalent of “guys being dudes.”
