Your Result: The Disinterested Love Interest.
Your Result: the disinterested love interest.
you've been hurt one too many times and now hold everyone at arm's length. it gets lonely sometimes, but it's better this way. at least, that's what you tell yourself. unfortunately, your parents think it's high time for you to be married. people see you as a puzzle to be solved, and you don't want to be solved. you just want to be understood. you don't want to just be heard, you want to be listened to. now, your parents expected you to court this person they had chosen for you. but you didn't want someone chosen, you wanted to choose. of course, they wouldn't have that, and you were introduced despite your objections. you hoped they wouldn't get attached, it would only lead to hurt.
(DANG I be the angsty love interest in all this. lols i chose some sentimental stuff. Some of this means mild sense but dangggg)
so i made a quiz on what role you'd have in a period drama..
i worked somewhat hard on it so you should take it

Yes exactly. Also Macduff descendant’s wife or if they themselves always had to have c sections (sounds random Af if ya haven’t read the play but basically witches like ‘only someone not born of a women can defeat Macbeth’ (when Macbeth comes to ask bout stuff) and then Macduff explains his mum had a c section and then he kills Macbeth). It was such a dumb reveal and loophole that legit made no sense. Shakespeare was like ‘oops… c section babies not born of women, pass it on‘.
Also the Banquo line must be so tired and doneeee. The prophecy said Banquo himself would not rule but his descendants would and he dies but his kid runs away. When exactly does his family get to rule? Since Banquo’s background is humble brave cool knight like Macbeth. It makes the witches out to be fools or liars cause like time and time again the Macbeth line gets to rule instead of them. Thane of them two places but I think they can flaunt being the previous previous king’s grandson (Macbeth) cause I assume the actual king’s son who comes back from where he fled is like I am an amazing guy and am gonna make this place great again.
Also ummmm. Romeo and Juliet have a kid (probs not together or idk) and then di3 at teen hood . The darkness this adds to EAH
shakespearean stories and their children exisiting in eah is so insane to me bc theyre nowhere NEAR the kind of tone that fairytales are, EVEN IN THEIR ORIGINAL FORMS. like imagine introducing ur story and apple going “i get poisoned by an apple at first:( but then a prince helps me and i get a happily ever after” and the son of hamlet is sitting there like. thats nice
@feline17ff 👀. us lols. 💖💖💖

there HAS to be a reason for this

Awwww famssss you didn’t! Thank you so much! 💖💖💖💖💖 right back at ya tbh!
But Shakespeare also wrote some ’comedies’
I liked ‘Twelfth Night’ cause it was pretty fun and actually had a real proper love triangle. And a happy ending. I personally didn’t read it be heard a summary of it:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=e3O4yJwuJes
^the link is a summary by overly sarcastic productions which is a channel I love and they summarise lots of stories and folklore and myths and tropes So I highkey recommend em! They the best. I‘m tangenting.
so we probs have two groups. Shakespearian Comedies and ShakespearIan Tragedies.
i can imagine em not carrying bout the royal rebel think as much. They’re probs like ya a comedy or a tragedy? Also will we have theatre kids inception (cause the plays are meant to be performed obv and if someone a theatre kid from the group it could be a good homage I guess)
also ‘A Midsummer Night’s dream’ is wacky but has fairies too. And could have a cottagecore aesthetic
There’s also ‘much ado about nothing’.
EAH just be wildin. They teased it and ran away and were like anyway, nothing to see here
