In a brand new form!

After a while with no updates, I'm happy to announce that my Sonic fanfic, Sonic Together, will be getting a new chapter! I've not posted in a while as I've been working on the Sonic the Hedgehog Big Bang 2024! (Check that out on @sthbigbang ) Which has been a blast. I'll have a full story ready to post in June. But I've been sitting on a completed chapter of Together for this Saturday! But why this Saturday, May 11th? Well, you'll just have to wait and see...

But as for the very special announcement!

Cool logo, right? But it's not just for the written fic. Soon after the release of the newest chapter of Together, it will also be releasing in audio format!!! With a wonderful cast of amazing voice actors, this is a project I'm really passionate about. And if it goes well, who knows, we may adapt more stories from Sonic Together!

So, I hope you enjoy the new chapter this weekend, and the audio adaptation soon afterwards!!!

AMY Woah, what the heck!?

HEDGEHOG Don’t worry. It’s just a pillow.

AMY Yeah, but- wh-what was that? Eggman?

HEDGEHOG Eggman? Why would it be Eggman?

AMY I know it’s not a robot, but… killer furniture? It’s the sort of weird stunt he would pull. Maybe they’re furniture automatons. …Automans.

AMY giggles to herself a little at the joke, although is still shaken.

HEDGEHOG Unfortunately, not Eggman. That would make our lives a lot easier.

AMY Well whatever they are, the staff need to know about this! This is dangerous! People could get hurt!

HEDGEHOG …They already did.

The elevator comes to a stop, dinging as the door opens. The HEDGEHOG exits, AMY in pursuit.

AMY Hey, who even are you? What’s going on? This isn’t funny, you know!

HEDGEHOG They’re furniture. Living furniture. Being influenced by a host, on the roof.

The HEDGEHOG finds the door leading to the roof. He pauses there for a second.

HEDGEHOG Which isn’t a problem. Because I have this.

He pulls out the green chaos emerald.

HEDGEHOG I’m going up there to blow it up. And I know you of all people would want to come with me, but it’s too dangerous. For you.

Before AMY can object, the HEDGEHOG goes through the door, slamming it behind him. A moment later, it opens again.

HEDGEHOG I’m John Smith, by the way.

AMY A-Amy. Amy Rose.

HEDGEHOG Nice to meet you, Amy Rose. Run for your life.

The HEDGEHOG slams the door once again.

Angst ig, look I wanted to illustrate a poem of mine, and I’ve always failed in doing so until now- Guess Sonic is my muse????

The first line up of fae! Some extra rambles under the cut:

Had to keep these guys together of course, they're all spring-waking and fall-sleeping fae. Usually the first thing they do when they wake up is find each other again, they pretty much spend all their seasons together.

Wild Cherry likes exploring, adventuring, racing and discovering new hide-outs. They've out-flied every other fae in the waking seasons, their current goal is to wake up early enough to spend a few days in the Winter - to challenge their fastest fae to a race to prove they're the fastest out of anyone.

Sycamore loves inventing and building, they make gear and knick-knacks for everyone. Fae from all over know to seek them out for any assistance building something, they built Rose's hammer for instance! Most fae without wings can't fly, but the Sycamore's helicopter seeds have the unique ability to grant him limited flight!

English Rose loves dresses, gowns, flower crowns, everything fashion-related in the fae world - they love celebrations and usually go a bit overboard decorating - but being extra is a good thing for fae. They have a bit of a temper, but are exceptionally generous and often willing to lend a hand.

Jack O' Lantern likes exploring too, and normally digs around animals burrows and fallen logs to find things Cherry overlooks in the sky. They are wingless but are able to glide on the wind (like spores) and have fashioned some rose thorns to his gloves to climb easily. He often goes off on his own, but always comes back around to hang with the group.

All four of them are well known, well respected Fae, but have a bit of a reputation of getting into trouble. They have a strong sense of morals and will not back down from a fight - if a fairy decides to stir up trouble these four will usually have something to say about it.

(Also shout out to the person who recognised the exact bug species of Sonic's wings like immediately when I posted the wip ur a real one jkhdfgdgf)
