Five times someone wanted to take/tried to take/took revenge on Tony, and one time someone took revenge for Tony.

Depressing arc reactor headcanons.

1. The arc reactor freezes when it’s too cold causing severe pain to the surrounding muscles.

2. If left in the sun it superheats like the seat belt buckle in your car and can burn Tony.

3. It decreases Tony’s lung capacity far below that of your average human.

4. Tony has asthma.

5. Once the arc reactor is removed Tony begins to function without chronic pain and is absolutely amazed at how easy everything is.

Tony had become somewhat known for rescuing other mers when they had been captured by humans. Still, when he was approached by a scrawny blond who asked him to save Bucky, he didn’t expect this.

Bucky, hiding from Steve fully shifted: *squeezes self under nearby couch*

Tony: *just walking in immediately noticing a fluffy tail sticking out of one of the couches* You’re supposed to be a master assassin I thought stealth was your thing. *goes to sit on the couch* 

Bucky, still shifted: *soldier crawls out from underneath the couch and onto Tony’s lap* 

Tony: Alright then. 

Steve: *bursts into the room* BUCKY! There you are! It took me forever to find you! 

Tony: *moves Bucky out of reach when Steve grabs for him* No can do Cap. 

Steve: Tony hand him over. 

Tony: Nope, can’t have you antagonizing defenseless animals.

Steve: *annoyed* Tony we both know that’s Bucky. 

Tony: Excuse you sir this is my emotional support red panda.

There were moments where Bucky wondered what could have made Iron Man, possibly his best friend here in the future, sarcastic and gentle and funny and caring, hate Tony Stark so much. Moments where he wondered what Tony Stark, who could manage to be kind and generous to the assassin who had murdered his parents, could have done to Iron Man. But he never dared to ask, afraid of the answer. 

The first chapter of my final fill for this round of @tonystarkbingo, square T2 - Armor Kink (which I interpreted… fairly freely xD).
