I totally didn't draw pumpkins an' come up with cute puns an' shit an' forget that the prompt wasn't, in fact, "Pumpkins," but rather jack-o-lanterns; then hadta add that pumpkin face last minute? Nope, not I. Rip to whomstever the fuck that was, but I'm better. 🤔🙃
Day 4 of Buckytober: Trick or Treat

The Halloween Party went off without a hitch. Each Avenger had a role and they all played it well.
After the guests left, Tony walked up to the Trick or Treat booth Bucky had been running. The man was still seated, packing up a few odds and ends that were scattered across the table.
"Trick or treat?" he asked after he noticed Tony approaching.
"Surprise me," Tony replied, a small smile forming on his lips.
"I don't like you anymore and I want a divorce," Bucky stated with an unreadable gaze.
For the briefest of moments, Tony thought it in himself to be hurt by those words; but then he remembered he and Bucky were only friends, and definitely not married.
"Just kiddin', that was a trick," Bucky grinned making his way around to the front of the booth, "How about a treat instead?"
Tony raised an eyebrow and replied, "Wasn't the point of this game to get a trick or a treat? Why do I get both?" he said with a smirk; but he still didn't appear uninterested in the treat Bucky was offering. Curiosity was in his nature, after all.
Bucky grinned again before leaning over and planting a kiss on the shorter man's cheek.
"I think I like the treat a lot better," Tony said quietly; face dusted with a light pink blush.
"Good," Bucky stated.
"How many lucky ducks got that treat tonight?"
"None, was savin' that one special for ya."
Tony smiled at that and Bucky returned it. This was definitely Tony's favourite Halloween to date.

angel’s face; what was your favorite bedtime story as a child?
Okay so I asked my mom and her response was “wow, nothing specific comes to mind” so instead I’ll tell you all a secret. Because I know a lot of people are familiar with the whole ‘my brain keeps working and worrying and now I can’t sleep’ and in theory, I’m someone who’s super susceptible to that. In practice, however, I have a trick.Since I’m not gonna be able to stop the thinking, what I do instead is target the thinking. Ever since I was young, I’d make up stories in my mind when going to sleep, and I’d eventually drift off. Often self-indulgent self-insert stories that I never planned to write out anyway, which means I don’t have to worry about remembering any of it the next morning. That way, I can target all that thinking into not-worrying, and the transition to sleep would go more smoothly. It has worked really well for me, and who knows - maybe it’ll help someone else as well.

For this, I picked Furiously Happy by Jenny Lawson, an utterly humorous and poignant book about mental health and how to deal with its difficulties. A specific passage wasn’t easy to find, since there’s a lot of good ones and a lot of bizarre ones and I wanted one that showed the essence of the book, both the meaningful and the weird, and I think I found it.“Personally, I always compare myself to Galileo because everyone knows he’s fantastic, but he has no spoons at all because he’s dead. So technically I’m better than Galileo because all I’ve done is take a shower and already I’ve accomplished more than him today. If we were having a competition I’d have beaten him in daily accomplishments every damn day of my life. But I’m not gloating because Galileo can’t control his current spoon supply any more than I can, and if Galileo couldn’t figure out how to keep his dwindling spoon supply I think it’s pretty unfair of me to judge myself for mine.” [p242]I love this book, and I still reread it sometimes because it helps me with my own mental issues as well, by encouraging me and reminding me I’m not the only one.
