Chapter 1 - Chapter 2 - Chapter 3 - Chapter 4 - Chapter 5 - Chapter 6 - Chapter 7 - Chapter 8 - Chapter 9 - Chapter 10 [Complete]

“Give me a good reason to trust you.” Jimin asked defensively.
Yoongi and his new partners had brought the trio in his place. At first, Jimin was reluctant to have come with them. But when he saw what the OHA had in their mind and if it weren’t for them, Jimin would have probably ended up in their laboratory, he finally agreed to go with them.
“Trust requires time.” Yoongi said, “And all I’m asking from you is to give me that time. I swear, everything will make sense at the end. It will all go well according to the plan.”
“Well, your first plan was to summon an angel.” Seokjin said, always ready to contradict Yoongi at any given time, “And look, whom you’ve brought instead.” He gave Namjoon a disgusted look.
“Yeah,” Yoongi said as a matter of fact, “someone who brought the said angel to me at least.”
“Yah, Jimin-ah!” Taehyung called, “Look at this angel, here. His wings are so soft. Oh my God! I want to wrap myself in them.”
Jimin gave a faint smile. Taehyung and Jungkook were busy playing with Hoseok as Jimin was having some serious discussion with the rest. They looked surprisingly happy to have joined the new team. They were trusting the new people so easily. It made Jimin worry a lot.
“Oh my God!” Hoseok imitated Taehyung, “And I want to wrap you in my wings as well. Haha…” They were laughing like kids at this point.
Namjoon shook his head, “Are you sure about the sanity of the members of this team?”
Yoongi sighed, unable to answer. He, himself was losing hope the more time he had been spending with these incompatible group of beings he had collected.

Whatever the reason might be for each of them, they collectively agreed to do whatever it took them to bring the demise of the organization that had been terrorizing their kinds for years. Apart from Seokjin, everyone seemed to have liked Yoongi too, despite of his cold nature. Little by little Yoongi started to explain the complicated, but not wholly impossible, plan to them all.
First, came the question of participations from the members. How and who would perform which tasks were brought into light. Yoongi would definitely serve as the mastermind of the team. Namjoon, Taehyung and Jungkook would be the strength while Hoseok and Jimin would give the team whatever supernatural skills they had to offer.
“What about Seokjin?” Namjoon asked sarcastically.
“What about me?” Seokjin asked, “Ya’ll definitely need a son of Aphrodite on the team. Someone, whose beauty can distract the enemies at dire times.”
“Who needs to be Aphrodite’s child to look beautiful?” said Taehyung, fixing the collar of his shirt.
Hoseok cracked up at this, “No offense, but that was so true.”
“It’s about number.” Yoongi came to his aid, “We need more people in the team.”
“But that doesn’t mean we can allow about anyone.” Jimin said, afraid that they might end up having a spy among them.
“Anyway,” Namjoon said, his voice suddenly serious now, “I think you are not giving us enough information.” The accusation was directed to Yoongi. “Answer this first, if it was about numbers, why were you so keen at finding specifically an angel and a Gumiho?”
All of their attentions were now at Yoongi. “I…” Yoongi stammered, “it’s because…Well, you see. We need some of the superpowers to fight such a horribly powerful Organization as OHA.” Yoongi’s voice rose as he asked the others, “Does any of you have them as good as these guys?” he pointed at Jimin and Hoseok.
Taehyung shook his head, “Even the OHA would agree to the fact that angels and Gumihos are their most desirable preys.”
Even though everyone seemed to be satisfied by the explanation, Namjoon was feeling a hunch. “This guy is definitely keeping some real secrets to himself.” He thought. But he didn’t let his suspicion be known to anyone else.

“You’ve failed again.” Kim Joon-Hwi raged at the guards and the wizards those who were able to have escaped the last fight with the supernatural beings.
“Sir,” one of the guards informed, “They were more in number than we had anticipated.”
Kim Joon-Hwi shook his head. He had been putting up with enough excuses. They were failing him again and again. He was getting impatient now. He wanted to take the matter at his own hands.
“Two years at best.” He screamed at the leader of the wizards, “That’s how much time you had asked from me. And now, 5 years had already passed and you’re progress is getting slower.”
The wizard lowered his head and said, “But we’ve found something more valuable this time, sir.”
“Tell me more about it.” Kim Joon-Hwi relaxed and sat down on his chair.
“There were four more members in their team, sir.” The wizard informed, “Among them was Yoongi.”
“The wizard Min Yoongi?” He asked.
“Yes, sir.” The wizard answered, “There was an angel too.”
“An angel?” Kim Joon-Hwi again rose from his chair in excitement.
“An angel and another being with black wings; which we couldn’t identify yet.”
Kim Joon-Hwi didn’t show any interest at the other creatures. He said, more to himself than anyone, “That means, Yoongi had finally found the angel.”
There was a moment of silent. Hesitantly, the wizard asked his boss, “Sir, what do we do next?”
“We don’t.” Kim Joon-Hwi replied. There was a faint smirk visible on his face, “They come to us.”

After hours of discussion on their upcoming mission, they all settled down to have a dinner on the floor, since there was no table available. Jungkook wasn’t eating anything. Instead he kept looking at Hoseok with his big doe eyes full of wonder.
“What are you looking at?” Hoseok asked while chewing on a buttered bun.
Jungkook hesitated, “I’ve always imagined angels wearing white clothes.”
“And we do.” Hoseok responded, “In heaven we wear nothing but white; which goes pretty well with our white wings. But since I came to earth, I’ve discovered all these colorful stuffs people wear. And I absolutely love them. So, I tried them on since my wings are invisible most of the times here.”
Jungkook nodded his head while Namjoon remarked, “Well, you should have been more careful in choosing what colors go well together. Splashing random colors aimlessly at a canvas doesn’t create art.”
“I think they do. People here call them ‘abstract arts’” Seokjin said, “Anyway, I like Hoseok’s style of clothing more than yours. Your aesthetic goes with Yoongi, I believe.” Both Namjoon and Yoongi ignored his attempt at insulting them.
Taehyung asked Hoseok, “So, what are you doing on earth? Mommy told me that angels live in heaven.”
“She’s right!” Hoseok answered. He’s more than happy to explain about his home, “Most of our lives, we live there in heaven. But every now and then, we are send down to earth for a purpose.”
“What’s that?” Taehyung asked, listening attentively.
“Well, one of my friends, an angel, came here before me.” His voice doesn’t sound very happy anymore, “But we’ve lost all contacts of him. So, I’ve volunteered to look at the matter. Hence, they allowed me to come on earth.”
“Did you find him?” Taehyung asked once again.
“Nope!” Hoseok said, “I’ve been searching for him for months. At this point, I believe, he had been taken away by OHA. But I didn’t dare fight them alone. I know how much power they hold over all the people here. That’s why, I agreed to join this team. So that I can finally go back home with my friend.”
“I think we should decide upon where to sleep at night.” Yoongi interrupted when Taehyung was about say something more.

Yoongi woke up early to make breakfast for them all. He was struggling as it was his first time preparing meals for seven very different species at once. He had managed to steal blood for Jungkook from a nearby clinic last night while everyone slept. It was now time to prepare some nutritious protein meals for the rest.
Seokjin came in the kitchen after sometime, “Why didn’t you wake me up? I told you, I’m a very good cook, didn’t I?”
“Please, just go back.” Yoongi said, “I can’t deal with you now.”
Seokjin understood how stressed Yoongi was. He secretly admired him for his attempt to care for the people he had collected for the mission, but barely knew them all. “He is not as cold as he wanted us to believe.” Seokjin thought.
Then, he joined quietly and started to help Yoongi. At first, Yoongi was sulking at his presence. But by the time, they both got comfortable enough to work together smoothly.
“Where’s Hoseok?” Seokjin asked, “I didn’t see him anywhere this morning.”
“Probably sleeping in the couch.” Yoongi said, stirring the soup he was making for Seokjin and himself.
“Namjoon’s in the couch.” Seokjin said.
“Maybe he’s in the bedroom.” Yoongi suggested.
“I slept in the bedroom last night.” Seokjin informed, his voice alarming at this point, “The newbies had joined me too. But not Hoseok. I thought he was sleeping on the floor next to your desk last night.”
Yoongi stopped stirring, his eyes wide, “Yes, he did. Oh my God! Why didn’t I see him when I woke up? Did he escape?”
“We’re not in a prison. Why would I escape?” Hoseok said as he entered the kitchen. He was holding a grocery bag.
“Did you go out?” Yoongi asked earnestly, “All alone? What if something wrong happened? Don’t you know, they had seen us? They know how we look like. They are out there hunting us.”
“Calm down!” Seokjin hold Yoongi by his shoulders as his voice started to raise in panic.
“I’m so sorry. I just thought there wasn’t enough food for everyone. So, I wanted to help.” Hoseok said.
“Is everything okay?” Jungkook came inside hearing all the fuss.
“Nobody has to help me, okay?” Yoongi suddenly burst out, “This is my house. I’ll do whatever is necessary. I don’t need anyone’s help.”
Jungkook got out of the kitchen immediately. Seokjin said, “Oh shut up! We all know that’s not true.”

Chapter 1 - Chapter 2 - Chapter 3 - Chapter 4 - Chapter 5 - Chapter 6 - Chapter 7 - Chapter 8 - Chapter 9 - Chapter 10 [Complete]

Finally, the moment they were waiting for had arrived. The ‘Master of Shadow’ had left the facility and went for his car.
Taehyung pointed at him, “It’s him! Did you see the mark?”
There was a clear mark of a flower being encircled on his forehead. Everybody knew what that mark meant. It was a mark seen on the body of every wizard who worked for OHA. Though most of them would get the mark in an area where it could be concealed by garments, this wizard had decided to get it on his forehead instead. It was clear that he was proud to be a part of this nasty organization.
“Remember, what we have to do?” Namjoon asked one last time. Everyone nodded in union. Then, they attacked.
Though the wizard was momentarily shocked at their sudden approach, he soon regained his senses and attacked them back with his years of knowledge in magic. Though he was old, it was evident in his moves that he was a really powerful being. No wonder, he was considered the ‘Master of Shadow’.
The boys had targeted to blind his eyes first with the potion Yoongi had given them. Then they would force him to go to sleep playing the kithara of Apollo; which was again a stolen item Seokjin had provided them with.
They could have handled it easily as they had already out numbered him by four. But a guard suddenly appeared on the scene. He was unarmed. So, he soon turned back to go back to the facility to inform others.
Seokjin ran after him. Their mission could get difficult if more people joined the opposition. They had only managed to blind the wizard. Making him lose his senses completely would take some more time. Jimin was still playing the kithara fervently.
“Don’t worry!” Seokjin shouted back at them, “I’ll buy you some time.” And he was already gone inside the facility.
Soon afterwards, the wizard’s huge body fell to the ground, announcing that he was out. They tied him up as quickly as possible.
“Why isn’t Seokjin coming back?” Jungkook asked anxiously.
“We don’t have much time.” Jimin announced, “He might wake up any time.”
“Alright!” Jungkook said, “I’ll go find Seokjin. You guys take him home.”
“No!” Jimin was about to argue.
“There’s no time.” Namjoon urged him, “Let’s go back.” Then, he looked at Jungkook and said, “We’ll come back for you.”

Master of Shadow; the most powerful wizard the earth had ever seen, now sat powerless in front of Yoongi. He couldn’t help but feel proud of himself. No wizard had ever dared to pick up a fight with the Master. He was the most ancient wizard alive.
“Welcome back!” Yoongi called as the huge wizard opened his eyes.
“I was hoping to meet you soon, Yoongi.” The wizard said. There wasn’t any sign of fear or hesitation in those old eyes, which made Yoongi nervous. “I don’t see your friends around. Are you afraid I might spill the tea?” The wizard started to laugh in a gigantic way.
“I am not afraid of your useless threats.” Yoongi said, sounding a lot more confident than he felt.
The wizard shook his head slowly, “I pity you, Min Yoongi. You had so much potential in you.” The wizard started to cough. Yoongi waited for him to finish whatever it was he was trying to say. “I remember how proud your grandfather was of you.”
“Don’t speak of him.” Yoongi scoffed.
There was a moment of silence. Then, the wizard said, “You didn’t hope that I would provide you any information about the company, did you?”
“I can’t even dream about it.” Yoongi said, rolling his eyes, “And for the record, I don’t wish for any kind of help from you. I know enough about the company myself.”
Yoongi cleared his throat and continued, “It is not unknown to anyone how powerful of a being you are. My true intention is to keep you away from everything to make our mission easier.”
Yoongi was about to leave when the wizard called him, “I only have one question to you.” As Yoongi turned back, he asked, “Why, Yoongi? Why would you choose those inferior creatures over us, humans?”
Yoongi let out a chuckle, “You’ll never change.”
“That doesn’t answer my question.” This time, he sounded as if he was curious and not mocking anyone.
So, Yoongi decided to be honest, “Because, they are more human than any human I’ve ever known.”

Jungkook kept going around the building, searching for Seokjin. He couldn’t go inside and risk getting caught. But it had been hours. All kinds of scary thoughts were surrounding his mind. “What if they had locked him up?” he thought.
Just when Jungkook was about to lose hope, Seokjin showed up. He was limping as he walked but looked completely fine otherwise.
“Hyung!” Jungkook went straight for a hug.
Seokjin looked surprised for a moment. “You’ve waited?” he asked.
“Of course, I did.” Jungkook said, still hugging him tightly. Seokjin nodded and hugged him back. Quite some time had already passed when they let go of each other.
“Let’s go back.” Jungkook said, “They must be worried about us.” Jungkook took one of his hands over his shoulder and helped support Seokjin while they walked.
“What was that you called me, earlier?” Seokjin asked suddenly.
“Huh?” Jungkook said.
Seokjin let out a chuckle, “You’re probably hundreds of years older than me. But I’ll allow it since you’re cute.”
The others were seen at a distance. As soon as they saw them, they came running.
“Thank Gods!” Hoseok exclaimed, “You’re both safe.”
“Wow!” Seokjin said sarcastically, “All of you came back for me?” He seemed to be counting heads. Then, he added, “I don’t see Yoongi.”
“Someone has to stay with the wizard.” Namjoon informed. Then, he took Seokjin’s arm from Jungkook and put it around his shoulder. “Now, tell me, did you get hurt?” Namjoon pointed at his limping leg.
Seokjin shook his head, “It’s nothing.”
“Let’s go back home.” Taehyung suggested, “It had been a long day. I’m starving.”
Seokjin nodded and muttered under his breath, “Yeah, let’s go back…home.”

Their first mission was a success. And surprisingly no one was badly hurt. Jimin suggested they should celebrate this victory. Nothing more was needed to be said.
They took out all the huge bottles of alcohol that Yoongi had brewed over the months. They drank and drank until they couldn’t anymore. Other than Jungkook, most of the supernaturals got drunk pretty fast, even before Yoongi, himself.
But there was a minor inconvenience. One of them had to go check on the wizard every now and then. Even though he was sleeping like a baby, nobody trusted him to be left alone for too long. Who knew, what he was up to?
“I can’t even remember when the last time was that I got drunk.” Taehyung said.
“Yeah, me too.” Jimin sat beside him. Then, Taehyung started to play with Jimin’s smooth hair like a puppy.
Jungkook sighed, “Wish I could know that feeling!” He gulped down the whole content of his glass in one go.
“Alright, guys!” Seokjin announced, “I’m going to sleep, now. Who will join me?”
“Wish I could!” another huge sigh left Jungkook’s mouth.
“Jungkook-ah!” Seokjin called, “Come lie with me. Hyung knows a way for Jungkook to get the closest feeling to that of sleeping.”
Jungkook climbed on to the bed beside Seokjin. Then, Seokjin started to hum a lullaby. Everybody grew quiet, taking in the beautiful music coming out of him. The low hum grew into a complete song.
Jungkook’s eyes started to get wet. He had a vague memory of his mother humming a lullaby to him when he was just a human child. But no matter how much he tried, he couldn’t recall her face. Jungkook buried his face in Seokjin’s chest, while he softly stroked his hair.
“He sings like an angel.” Hoseok whispered to Yoongi. Though Yoongi didn’t know how an angel sang, he still nodded in agreement.

Yoongi was looking at Hoseok fondly as he tucked in each of the sleeping member with blanket one by one. Apparently, Seokjin’s sweet lullaby was strong enough to put everyone to sleep.
“Are you going to stay like that?” Hoseok asked Jungkook, who was still burying his face on Seokjin’s chest while hugging him tightly. Jungkook nodded and mumbled something inaudible to indicate that he was alright that way.
Hoseok placed a soft goodnight kiss on Jungkook’s head and stood up to see Yoongi staring at him. Hoseok smiled, making a twist inside Yoongi’s stomach. Then, Hoseok signaled him to get out for some fresh air.
Both of them sat on the railing of the roof in their abandoned building with their feet hanging outside. There was a bottle of whiskey Yoongi had brought to share with Hoseok. Every now and then, lightning were striking in the sky suggesting that it might rain anytime.
“Thank you for doing all this.” Hoseok said, “Even if I can’t see how you benefit from OHA’s downfall, thank you all the same.” Yoongi nodded and took a sip from the whiskey bottle.
Then, Hoseok added, “I can’t believe I’m so close to finally meeting my friend. When I first came down to earth, among all the chaos, I had lost hopes of ever reuniting with him. Thanks to you, my hopes came back.”
Hoseok looked at Yoongi and smiled. Yoongi remained silent once again.
“Do you even smile?” Hoseok sighed heavily.
“Umm…Hoseok?” Yoongi called.
“Hmm?”
“It’s a hypothetical question, okay? I mean, it’s just a supposition.”
“What is it?” Hoseok asked, curious at Yoongi’s hesitation.
“Suppose we get to the OHA. But… But your friend isn’t there?”
Hoseok laughed, “What do you mean? Where will he be then?”
“What if he’s…he’s dead?”
“Oh!” Hoseok was taken aback. They both remained silent for a while. Finally, Hoseok said, “It’s funny how I’ve never thought about it.”
Starting from small drops, it started to rain wholly. Hoseok stood up to get back. But Yoongi hold his hand, “Please, stay.”
As Yoongi wasn’t the type to make requests often, Hoseok decided to stay a little more.
“Does it rain in heaven?” Yoongi asked
Hoseok shook his head, “It never does.”
Yoongi closed his eyes and faced the sky, thinking how far he had come. He kept pondering over future possibilities. “Will we really succeed?” he thought. He knew very well, what awaited them if they were to fail.
“No, it can’t be.” Suddenly Yoongi heard Hoseok whispering, “You…How?”
Yoongi looked at Hoseok in confusion. “What happened?” he asked.
“You’re one of them.” Hoseok said. He looked terrified of Yoongi.
At that very moment, it finally occurred to Yoongi what Hoseok was trying to say. He looked down on to his chest. The mark was visible through the white wet shirt on his skin. The mark of the OHA wizards, the encircled flower.
Hoseok stood up and pulled away as Yoongi tried to reach for his hand.
“You lied to us. You are going to sell us off to those monsters, aren’t you?” Hoseok almost screamed. Yoongi couldn’t bring himself to say anything. He only kept shaking his head.
“Oh Gods! I’m such a fool.” Then, Hoseok grabbed his own head as it started to get dizzy by all those drinking he had done earlier. Then, he turned away from Yoongi and let out his wings wide open.
“No, Hoseok!” Yoongi called as Hoseok took a flight out into the storming sky.

Chapter 1 - Chapter 2 - Chapter 3 - Chapter 4 - Chapter 5 - Chapter 6 - Chapter 7 - Chapter 8 - Chapter 9 - Chapter 10 [Complete]

They had escaped to the wood, made fire to keep themselves warm and hunted down animals to prepare for supper. Hoseok was lying on the ground, his head rested on Yoongi’s lap. Namjoon and Seokjin sat silently with them. The other ‘Bulletproof’ boys were spending time with the escaped prisoners. There were two vampires, a werewolf, three demigods, two elves and a satyr.
Taehyung was found to be alright and not badly hurt. He had recognized the werewolf from when he was a prisoner himself and they started a conversation. Jungkook talked with the vampires to learn about his servants; those who had been caught. He found out that they had been killed during the experiments. Jimin stayed quiet the whole time.
Meanwhile, Yoongi kept muttering a spell in an attempt to heal his unconscious friend of the wound that had been left on his back. But it didn’t seem to be working properly. Namjoon came closer and Yoongi noticed the tears on his cheeks.
Namjoon gently wiped them away with his hand and placed it on Hoseok’s back. Light sparkled through Hoseok’s wound for a moment. Then, it healed completely. Yoongi gasped in shock.
“I almost forgot,” Yoongi said, “You were an angel once.”
Namjoon nodded but remained silent. It was a common knowledge that an angel’s tears can heal any wound. Yoongi being an educated wizard, should have known that.
Seokjin stood up and announced, “I think, this is the time I part. I had caused enough trouble to you all. I know I’ve done something terrible and it’s beyond forgiveness. But if you can, please forget my mistakes and remember only the good parts of our journey together. Do this for the old time’s sake.”
“But you can’t just go away that easily.” Namjoon said boldly.
Seokjin was taken aback. Namjoon never sounded this serious before. Not even at the worst time possible.
Namjoon stood in front of him, arms crossed, and said, “Did you forget the iconic ‘Once you Jim-in, you can’t Jim-out’ line?”
Yoongi let out a small laugh. Seokjin couldn’t believe it. Namjoon was not mad at him. In fact, he was making jokes. He was even okay with him being on the team.
The golden trio had come towards them. Hearing Seokjin wanting to leave, Jungkook whined, "Hyung, you can’t leave us like that.”
“Especially, not after saving us like a hero.” Jimin said, while hanging a hand on Jungkook’s shoulder. “We are not gonna let you be the main character of the story.”
Yoongi pleaded, “Just let us know the truth. When did you go against us exactly? Don’t say it was since the beginning.”
Seokjin shook his head. Tears were threatening to come out of his eyes at the surprisingly kind reactions from the others. But he told them the truth anyway.
He told them, how he was once a normal boy living with his Goddess mother and mortal father. Until one day, Aphrodite decided to take him away to the Mount Olympus. Being a kid, he always wondered what the reason could be. He was sure of one thing; his mother was indifferent to him. She never showed love or affection towards him.
As he grew up, the longing for his father, who once used to love the boy so much, became stronger. Then, one day, Seokjin decided to escape Mount Olympus with the help of some other Gods. By his own wits, he was able to come down to the earth. He had been searching for his father since then.
“But then, I met Yoongi.” Seokjin said, “When I heard about his plan of bringing down the OHA, I decided to stay with the team in hope of finding my father. But I swear, I didn’t know he was the CEO of this fucked up institution. I don’t know what got into me when I agreed to help him. I believed him to be a good man. I never imagined he could be so cruel.”
“Everyone believes their father is a good man.” Taehyung sighed.
Suddenly, one of the elves came to interrupt them, “Don’t you think it would be wiser to leave the wood and go to a safe place?”
They exchanged some worried looks. Even though the OHA facility was being destroyed, all thanks to Seokjin’s explosion, they couldn’t be sure if their enemies were really gone or not. They couldn’t go back to their abandoned building and risk being attacked.
The elf continued, “I know a place. It’s the safest of places for beings like us. We should go to the ‘ARMY’.”
“ARMY?” The ‘Bulletproof’ boys asked in union.

Aid and Refuge for Mortals by Youths, in short ARMY, was a secret society formed by young people who believed in equality among humans and other intelligent beings. The members of this organization called themselves ARMY too. Being less in number and power, they ran their rescue missions of saving the non-humans from the OHA secretly. And these secret missions were the reason behind the OHA’s failures at the recent times.
The elf knew their hideout very well. He was on his way to seek help from them when he was caught by the wizards almost a year ago. Now, he led his rescuers and the fellow prisoners to the only safe place there was on earth.
There were minutes of confusion among the ARMY seeing a large number of non-humans gathering outside. Soon after Namjoon explained the situation clearly, the ARMY let themselves in.
They were then taken to the leader of the organization. Her name was Linha. Despite her tall figure and intimidating face, she was quite friendly and kind. She welcomed them with overwhelming joy and learned about each of them individually. Her eyes got teary as she learned how they had managed to escape the OHA and exploded their laboratories before coming to them.
“You did the impossible.” Linha exclaimed. It was her usual way of talking. “I can’t believe you did something in such a short time which we had been planning for so long.”
“All thanks to Seokjin.” Namjoon said, “He did almost everything.”
“Yeah,” Seokjin scoffed at himself, still not over the guilt he was feeling for betraying his friends, “after ruining our original plan completely.”
There were so many ARMY and other non-humans inside the pretty huge hideout. The ‘Bulletproof’ boys almost couldn’t believe the fact that so many humans were on their side and they were willing to fight for their freedom. They had spent most of their lives being afraid of the humans that accepting them as their friends was something they found difficult.
They learned that there were more humans out there on earth who believed in the equality too but couldn’t voice out their opinion in fear of the OHA. Some of them were even helping the ARMY with whatever they could offer, ranging from shelter for some beings to providing medical supports.
In order to celebrate the official downfall of the OHA, they arranged a huge feast for themselves along with the new comers. Everyone ate and drank to the fullest. The music was turned on and they danced and sang out their hearts.
Then, Linha made a great announcement, “From now on, we won’t hide anymore. We will declare our victory over the OHA. We will reveal it to the whole world that from today, we all live in unity. Humans, vampires, werewolves, elves, satyrs, centaurs, demigods,” she glanced at Hoseok for a while and added, “angels and many more. We all live in harmony and without fear.”
They all cried out with full of enthusiasm. But suddenly there was a blast. It made their whole ceiling crash. When they looked up, they could make out a figure with huge wings flying down towards them.

“What happened to the others?” Kim Joon-Hwi inquired about his guards and wizards.
“They’re all dead, sir.” The Master of shadow informed.
The Master was the only one to have escaped the OHA facility after the explosion. He, then, went straight to Kim Joon-Hwi, who had already made his escape after getting his most desired thing, an angel’s wings.
“Are you telling me that you have lost the Gumiho?” Kim Joon-Hwi asked, his tone deep and serious. When the Master looked down without replying, Kim Joon-Hwi let out a terrible laugh, “How will I survive after attaching the wings on myself if I failed to kill the Gumiho?”
The real reason for his desperation for the Gumiho was that, a Gumiho was the most powerful being to exist on earth. And if he had to attach the angel wings on himself in order to be as powerful as the Gods, he needed to kill someone powerful first.
“Sir,” The master spoke, “I think we should wait. I promise to find that Gumiho as soon as I can.”
“No!” Kim Joon-Hwi said rather calmly this time, “I have waited long enough.” The Master was about to interrupt but he held his hand up to silence him, “You have done enough all these years. In fact, it’s the result of your research that I am now going to be the most powerful.”
He went closer and rested his hand on the Master’s shoulder. The Master bowed in gratitude for the appreciation. But the next moment, he felt a sharp pain on his back. He fell to the ground with a loud groan when he realized that he had been stabbed.
“You think I didn’t know who killed the last Gumiho on our laboratory?” Kim Joon-Hwi stated to the dying man before him. “I know why you had joined the company in the first place. You wanted power.” Then, he laughed manically and added, “Killing a powerful wizard like you will serve my purpose.”
The Master of Shadow struggled to say his last words, “Yoongi. Was. Right.”
But Kim Joon-Hwi didn’t pay any heed to it. He kneeled down to whisper, “Goodbye to you! From now on, you can rest all you want.”

Kim Joon-Hwi looked deadly with the wings on his back. The veins on his body had popped up within his skin. His eyes were red and they glowed when he shouted or showed any excitement. The wind he created by flapping his wings can overthrow Jimin’s old hut in a second.
“Father?” Seokjin whispered in disbelief.
“Everyone, grab your weapons!” Linha shouted her instructions at others. Then, they all were busy getting hold onto a weapon they could find.
“Fools!” Kim Joon-Hwi screamed, “I am inevitable now. Accept me as your new God if you don’t wish to die.”
Seokjin tried to step forward to speak to him. But Yoongi held him back and said, “Not now! He’s more dangerous than ever before.”
“But…” Seokjin was interrupted by a sudden explosion. An Army had thrown a bomb at the monster. But he soon came out of the smoke, laughing gigantically, proving his statement earlier.
The ARMY knew that it was too late. There was no way they could win against this monster. But they were not going to give up. They would rather die fighting. And with that mindset, they jumped.
No explosion, bullets or arrows could penetrate his skin. On the other hand, the ARMYs and the supernaturals were badly hurt. Some of them were already dead. Seokjin looked around the miseries. His heart clenched inside when he noticed one of his friend taking a flight to fight his monstrous father face to face.
“Namjoon!” Seokjin called to stop him.
“Why don’t you fight someone your equal, instead?” Namjoon yelled at Kim Joon-Hwi, who was pointing at a satyr with a gun on his hand.
He looked back at Namjoon and snarled at him, “Did you just compared me with yourself, you pathetic devil?”
“Why?” Namjoon smirked, “Are you scared?”
Without a delay, Kim Joon-Hwi launched himself on him and they flew away from the sight of the rest.
“No!” Seokjin screamed, “Namjoon, please come back.”
But they were nowhere to be seen. All around, the only sounds were of the burning and wailing of the injured. Everyone got busy helping out the wounded. Some of them were even grateful that the monster had spared them some time. Some were mourning for the death of their closed ones.
Hoseok collected the ‘Bulletproof’ boys from the crowd one by one and made sure none of them were hurt. They reached Seokjin last. Taehyung called, “Thank God, you’re here.”
“Where’s Namjoon?” Jimin asked. But Seokjin didn’t answer. Jungkook and Taehyung gasped as they realized Namjoon was the one who had driven away that monster.
Suddenly, Jimin sat on the ground. All of their attentions shot to him. “I think… I see something.” He said. He shut his eyes closed tightly, his brows furrowed.
Yoongi went closer to sit beside him, “Is it a vision?”
Jimin nodded violently and said, “He’s dead. Kim Joon-Hwi’s dead. And…” He stopped for a while. He looked as if he were concentrating on a scene with his eyes closed.
“Who killed him?” Yoongi asked. Everyone paid more attention.
“I can see wings.”
“An angel?” Yoongi asked in disbelief, glancing at Hoseok for a while.
Jimin opened his eyes abruptly and gasped, “Namjoon.” He declared, “Namjoon’s the angel who was supposed to bring the demise of the OHA.”

Namjoon stood at the entrance door, Hoseok’s formal wings hanging on his hands. He looked exhausted, which was rarely visible on his face. Jungkook ran to hug him without a delay.
Namjoon spoke to the others after Jungkook released him, “Kim Joon-Hwi’s dead. We have nothing to fear anymore.”
Everyone cheered and shouted in excitement. Some of them patted Namjoon on his back and thanked him. After minutes of celebrating the good news, everyone went back to their business; fixing the aftermath of the short but terrible battle.
The dawn had broken. Seokjin sat at the edge of the lake and gazed at the rising sun. Namjoon came to sit beside him. Seokjin glanced at him and looked back at the sun again. He said, “You’re the true hero. You’ve saved everyone.”
“I’m sorry for your loss.” Namjoon said in a low voice.
Seokjin let out a fake laugh and said, “Don’t apologize. You did the right thing. If I had done it earlier, Hoseok still would have his wings. Not to mention how many people could have been saved.”
“Do you want to know what happened exactly?” Namjoon hesitantly asked.
“Surprisingly, yes!” Seokjin turned to face him, “I’m still stupid enough to care to know how my father died.”
Namjoon nodded understandingly and said, “I gave him a chance to save himself, you know, for your sake. But he said, he would rather die than live with the pity of a devil.” Namjoon let out a painful laughter.
A tear escaped Seokjin’s eyes as he spoke, “He would definitely choose his pride over me. And I’m not even surprised. After all, it wasn’t the first time.”
“I’m sorry you couldn’t have the happily ever after with your family.” Namjoon said.
The other ‘Bulletproof’ boys joined the couple. They sat down quietly and enjoyed the sun rise. At a point, Taehyung asked Seokjin, “Are you going back to your mother now?”
Seokjin didn’t reply. Instead, he asked Hoseok, “Why aren’t you going back to the heaven?”
Hoseok shrugged and said, “There’s nothing to go back to. I’ve already found my true family here on earth.” He rested his head on Yoongi’s shoulder.
Seokjin looked back at Taehyung and smiled. “Exactly.” He whispered, which brought out the best box smile on Taehyung’s face.
“I want to say something.” Jungkook mumbled, “I don’t know if I can ever say this if not today.”
Everyone looked up at him as he slowly rose up to stand. He continued with a heavy voice, “As far as I can remember, I was just a vampire with thirst for blood only. I didn’t have a family or even friends. The only thing I cared about was surviving. I never knew how much I was missing out on life until… Until I met Jimin and Taehyung. They took me in as their own. Then, you guys showed up. I learned what it is to actually live and not just survive. I am eternally grateful to you for that.” He paused for a moment before adding, “I… I love you, guys.”
They looked at him in admiration. They had never heard Jungkook opening up about his feelings to them at any time throughout their times together. Hearing him speaking such words melted their hearts.
Jimin went straight to hug him, “I’m glad I’ve found you that night.” Taehyung joined from behind. Hoseok stood up and said, “Guys, my eyes are sweating. Help!” before going for the hug too. Yoongi tailed him from behind as well. Namjoon gestured Seokjin to join the group hug. Seokjin smiled and did as he was asked to.
Finally, it was Namjoon to join them last. As he did, he slowly spread out his huge black wings to shelter the members on the inside.

Note: Thank you to everyone for sticking with me till the end. Thank you for taking your precious time to read my story. Thank you for all the little feedbacks you had left. It means a lot to me. By the way, it was my first proper series. I finished it in a hurry due to an upcoming exam. And I am a little disappointed coz it didn’t come out as I’ve expected. But I hope to improve my writings in the future.

Yoongi knew the way to the cell where they kept their new prisoners. He disguised himself in the form of a guard and made his way to Hoseok. As he reached the dim lighted room, the first thing that caught his eyes were Hoseok’s huge white wings. He was curled up inside it and sleeping rather peacefully.
“Hoseok!” Yoongi whispered, not wanting to alarm the guards outside, “Hoseok, wake up!”
Hoseok opened his eyes and looked at Yoongi with confusion. Yoongi feared that he might start shouting at him again and give away their position. But instead, Hoseok jumped to his feet in excitement and came to hug him through the bars.
“Oh, Yoongi!” Hoseok said, “I’m so sorry to have flown away like that. I was being irrational. I should have listened to you.”
“Ssh!” Yoongi hushed him down, “We’ll talk later. I’m going to get you out of here.” Hoseok nodded.
Yoongi noticed that instead of regular lock in the bars, they had put a spell on it, which Yoongi knows pretty well how to undone. It would take some time but it could be done. Yoongi started to draw some letters in the air and they started to glow. The dark room was filled with colorful lights from them.
After almost half an hour, all the glowing letters merged into one and the door opened. Hoseok gasped at the sight of it. He was about to appreciate the skill when there was a clap in front of him behind Yoongi. Both of them yelped in fright.
Kim Joon-Hwi stood there along with his guards and wizards. “Welcome back, Min Yoongi.” He said.
They had been caught. There was only one way Yoongi could delay their inevitable fate. Delay, but not wholly diminish it. Yoongi got inside the cell with Hoseok and produced a purple aurora all around it by a wave of his hand.
Kim Joon-Hwi and his guards looked puzzled. One of the wizards came forward and whispered something on Kim Joon-Hwi’s ear. He let out a chuckle, “Are you trying to shield yourself inside that cell?”
Yoongi didn’t answer. Kim Joon-Hwi shook his head, “How long do you think you can continue this way? You are now my prisoners. And I will get to you soon.”

“If it weren’t for my stupidity, we wouldn’t have ended up in here.” Hoseok said.
“The fault is mine.” Yoongi said, “I shouldn’t have kept secrets from you.”
They sat on the floor of the cell that was currently glowing through the light of the aurora produced by Yoongi. Two guards and a wizard were keeping watch at them.
Hoseok sighed deeply, “I learned what had happened to my friend. But I don’t blame you. You did everything you could. It was his fate.”
Yoongi couldn’t bring himself to say anything. Hoseok continued, ‘’But I’m not as brave as he was. I can’t take my own life. They…They will take away my wings. And then…” Hoseok suddenly burst into tears.
Yoongi went to sit closer. He put his hand on Hoseok’s shoulder and said, “I promise, I won’t let that happen to you.”
“But how?” Hoseok asked while wiping a tear from his cheek.
Suddenly, a big black wolf jumped at the guarding wizard out of nowhere. Yoongi smirked at a shocked Hoseok, “They are here!” As planned, the ‘Bulletproof’ boys had come to their rescue and they had managed to knock out the guards and the wizard.
“Missed us?” Namjoon asked Hoseok sarcastically which made him laugh out in excitement.
They got out of the cell as quietly as possible without raising any alarm in the other OHA members outside. But it would be rather hard for seven people to sneak out of this huge place without being seen.
“I know a dark tunnel that can lead us outside.” Seokjin suggested, “I used that last time I was here to get out.”
So, Seokjin lead them through a door that said ‘Staff Only’ and once they got inside it, it was all dark. “Keep going straight.” Seokjin said and they followed.
They had been walking through it for some time, when Namjoon asked, “Are you sure, this is the right way?” But Seokjin didn’t reply.
They got hit by the wall in front of them announcing that it was a dead end. “What the…” Jimin was about to swear when the lights were turned on. As they looked back they found out that they were inside a huge cage, locked up. And Seokjin was standing outside of it.
One by one, the realization hit them; Seokjin had betrayed them. Now, they were all caught by the OHA. All of them at once.
Jungkook grabbed onto the bars of the cage, his eyes full of pain. He called, “Hyung!”
Seokjin looked away as tears started to prickle his eyes. He said before leaving, “I’m sorry, guys. I had to do it.”

The day they had come to abduct the ‘Master of Shadow’ and Seokjin had followed a guard inside the facility, something happened; which was beyond the other’s knowledge.
Seokjin ran after the guard and soon got hold of him. But he was an excellent fighter. When the guard injured one of Seokjin’s legs, Seokjin panicked and hit his head with a statue nearby. Immediately, the guard dropped dead.
It was the first time, Seokjin had killed. He kneeled down to inquire if the guard was really dead or not when he heard a voice from behind, “How did you get inside?”
Seokjin froze. The voice sounded familiar. It sent a shiver down his spine. What he saw before him as he looked back was something truly astonishing. Seokjin couldn’t believe his own eyes.
“Father?” he called, with uncertainty.
Kim Joon-Hwi looked at Seokjin for a moment. Then, recognition came to his eyes. He called back, “Seokjin!” He came forward and embraced him, “Oh, my son!” and patted his back.
“I’ve found you, father.” Seokjin said, fighting back tears.
“How are you?” Kim Joon-Hwi asked after releasing him from his arms, “What brings you to my lab?”
“Your lab?” Seokjin shook his head in disbelief, “So, you’re the one who’s been hunting those creatures?”
“Son!” Kim Joon-Hwi called. He looked like he was hurt by Seokjin’s question. He remained quiet for some time, thinking. Then he added, “Are you calling me a monster now? Did you even ask why I’ve been doing all these?”
“Why?” Seokjin asked flatly, “Tell me, father! Why are you doing this?”
“For you.”
“For me?”
“Yes, son!” Kim Joon-Hwi’s eyes started to get wet as he continued, “You remember how your mother had taken you away from me when you were just a child? I begged her not to. But she said that I was just a mere human and so that I wasn’t worthy of keeping you, a demigod, all to myself. So, I decided to prove to her that I am worthy of being your father. And this was the only way.”
“No!” Seokjin shook his head, “This is not the right way. You can’t kill the innocents to get your son back.”
Kim Joon-Hwi nodded his head and said, “I know, son, what you are thinking of me. But trust me, I did it all for you. For us.”
There was silence. Nobody said anything for a long time. Kim Joon-Hwi continued, “Don’t you want to have that happy family back again? You, me and your mother? All together with no inequity of power?”
“Family?” Seokjin whispered. He had wanted it more than anything in his life. “Yes!” He finally answered.
“Don’t worry, son,” Kim Joon-Hwi said, “We are closer than you think to finally achieve that. All we need now…” He paused for a moment. Then he wetted his lips with his tongue and said, “are your friends.”
“My friends?” Seokjin was bewildered, “Are you asking me to hurt them?”
“No, son.” He said, “Nobody needs to be hurt.”
But Seokjin shook his head in denial, “I can’t do this to them. They are my friends.”
Kim Joon-Hwi further said, “But if I promise not to hurt them, will you bring them here for me, son? For the sake of our broken family?”
Seokjin thought for a moment. His father had been hurting and killing other species all this time, for them. Then, he looked at the dead guard lying on the floor. Hadn’t he killed for his friends as well? Weren’t they going to kill many more to achieve their own goal?
“You promise you won’t hurt them?” Seokjin asked for confirmation.
Kim Joon-Hwi hugged him and said, “I promise.”

“I should have known it!” Yoongi was frustrated with himself, “It was one of us who helped the Master escape.”
“I can’t believe we had a spy among us.” Jimin sat down in disbelief.
At that time, Kim Joon-Hwi entered the room followed by his son. Seokjin kept his head down, avoiding eye contacts with his friends. Some guards and wizards entered the room after them.
“Min Yoongi,” Kim Joon-Hwi called, “Didn’t I say, you were my prisoner now? I hope you know very well how I punish the traitors.”
Seokjin reminded his father immediately, “Father, you’ve promised.” Him addressing the CEO of OHA as father momentarily shocked them all.
“My son!” He didn’t bother looking back at him, “I think there is a lot more you still need to learn. You won’t survive in this world with that naïve brain of yours.”
“I’m not sure I understand.” Seokjin said, his voice sharp.
Kim Joon-Hwi laughed. It sounded deafening to his ears. He said, “What you need to understand is that promises are made to broken. You can’t trust someone for his words only.”
“Father!” Seokjin called him in frustration.
But Kim Joon-HWi continued, “I need that angel’s wings and the blood of the Gumiho. Only then, I can be more powerful than the Gods and Goddesses above.”
“But it wasn’t about power, was it?” Seokjin asked, desperately wanting his father to say that he didn’t mean it, that his decision of betraying his friends wasn’t wrong.
“Huh!” Kim Joon-Hwi scoffed, “Everything’s about power. You think that I have no dignity in me? That I will want to get back with Aphrodite even after she had insulted me for being a mortal?” Then, he yelled, “No! I’ll make sure the last thing she’ll know before dying is that we, humans, are capable of anything.”
Kim Joon-Hwi ordered the guards and the wizards, “Bring the angel out and work on his wings. Be careful! Don’t make the same mistake again. I need the wings to be cut out while he’s still alive.”
“No!” Both Seokjin and Yoongi screamed at the same time. Two guards held Seokjin back as he came forward to attack his father causing him to fall on the ground.
“How dare you attack me, you little freak?” Kim Joon-Hwi yelled at his son. He told the guards holding onto Seokjin, “Lock him away. I will deal with him later.”
“Don’t you try hurting my friends!” Namjoon threatened Kim Joon-Hwi, “I will make you pay for every inch of it.”
“Think about saving yourself, you devil!” Kim Joon-Hwi said and turned back to go while the guards and wizards took away the struggling Seokjin and Hoseok.

There was nothing Yoongi could do to open up the lock from the inside. He kept muttering things and putting spells while everyone waited impatiently. Soon, it was clear that the spells were not working.
“The only way out will be us, fighting the guards once they come to take me.” Jimin finally said, “Didn’t you hear what the CEO said? He needed my blood along with Hoseok’s wings.”
Jimin was right. After some time, three guards came. One of them announced, “I’m going to bring the Gumiho out. Everyone step back or you’ll be shot to death.”
The gate to their cage was opened. Two guards entered while the other stood outside pointing his gun at them. Namjoon pointed at the guard outside. Taehyung nodded and turned himself into the huge wolf and attacked the guards those came inside. The one outside missed a shot at Taehyung as he was moving too fast.
Before they could figure out the situation properly, Jungkook and Yoongi were already on the move. Jungkook bit a guard down while Yoongi froze the one outside with his spell temporarily. But one of them managed to escape.
“Let’s get out of here before the...” Namjoon couldn’t finish the sentence when the emergency alarm went off.
“Oh shit!” Yoongi swore, “We’re fucked.”

I refused to get up from my bed. Or should I say, I was unable to do so. Because I was going through the worst period cramps this month. I am very pain sensitive. So whenever I had bad cramps, it always made me cry my eyes out.
"Aren't you going to have your breakfast, sweety?" My sister asked while gently patting my head over the blanket under which I had taken my refugee.
My phone rang and I whined in annoyance. My sister brought it to me and said, "C'mon! Your bunny's calling you."
I pulled my hand out of the blanket and took the phone in. My sister left to avoid hearing our cheesy conversation.
"So, no good morning for me today, love?" I could imagine the pout forming on Jungkook's lips.
"No!" I said shortly.
"Have my baby girl been crying?" The tone was a little bit alarmed.
"Yes!" I said again.
It didn't take too long for Jungkook to understand the matter. And nothing much was needed to be said. He was on my doorstep already.
Ding Dong!
"Look, who's here?" My sister called from the living room.
Despite the pain, I walked out of my bed, my blanket still wrapped around me. As soon as Jungkook saw my miserable state, he pulled me into a warm embrace and I sank into his huge muscular body.
"I've brought you dark chocolates, love." Jungkook whispered softly and kissed me on my ear.
Minutes later, we were squeezed in the couch, blanket covering the both of us, my head resting on Jungkook's chest, biting onto my chocolate every now and then, while Jungkook hummed on to an ost of 'The Goblin' being played on the TV.
