dating!sophitz headcanons

◦  sophie and fitz take baths together (especially bubble-baths). it doesn’t have to be sexual - they just enjoy sitting together in the warm water or talking about their day or blowing the bubbles at one another

 ◦  after a long day of cognate work, they’ll go and curl up on the couch together and just pass out

 ◦  fitz is always trying to make sophie feel as loved as he can - especially after a fight. he wants her to know that he appreciates her with all of him and that no matter what other people are saying, she’s important

 ◦  fitz doesn’t really admit it, but he loves to brush sophie’s hair. like, a lot. it’s just so pretty?? and she always?? smells nice?? he always tries to be able to do her hair for her, and he’s asked biana for lots of tips just so he doesn’t make sophie’s head look like a pineapple 

 ◦  sometimes sophie wants fitz to stay over at her house, right? but grady never lets them sleep in the same room. fitz is always booted to the downstairs couch.

when sophie has a nightmare or just really, really wants to be held by her boyfriend, she turns down the heat so that the house gets super cold and then he has an excuse to come upstairs and cuddle, or vise-versa - she stumbles down the stairs and they climb onto the sofa together

◦  grady’s tried to stop that by getting up and turning the heat back on, but edaline always goes after him and shuts it off again.

 ◦  grady doesn’t understand how it every time, without failure, the cold air turns back on and he gets up to find that fitz and sophie slept together.

 ◦  if fitz gets really sleepy, he’ll start mumbling really gushy stuff to sophie. she hates it, yet loves it, because that stinker knows how much it gets to her.

 ◦  when doing their homework, they sit back-to-back on sophie’s flower carpet. fitz usually speeds through and gets done first and so he starts reading a book, whereas sophie has her earbuds in and is totally lost in her music, steadily working through the homework while jamming out to her favourite songs from when she was little.

 ◦  sophie loves to make food for fitz. especially tons of human deserts she had when she was a little kid. sometimes she needs help, though - ovens are not a friend of sophie. the food has been burned many times.

◦  but fitz has issues with food, too. it doesn’t always love him. just ask about the time he and sophie set cereal on fire, together.

◦  sophie doesn’t like capes - unless they’re fitz’s. it’s basically the equivalent of a sweatshirt. all she has to do is wrap it around herself and she’s in a small burrito that smells like her boyfriend

 ◦ fitz has learned sophie’s ticklish spots. she tries to act like it doesn’t phase her, but after a few seconds of trying to keep a straight face she’ll start to squirm and then it escalates to a full-out tickle war with a lot of a shrieks and giggles

 ◦ honestly, they’re not really sure why they willingly do that to themselves. sophie pokes fitz back in his sides after he pokes her, and neither one of them like getting tickled. it’s just?? that they’re together?? and goofing off without a care?? and the other one is smiling and laughing so cute??

 ◦ one time they got too into it and they had finger-shaped bruises on their sides. it hurt to laugh for a little while, and both leaned on each other for support in the hallways of foxfire when one of their friends would crack a stupid joke

 ◦ biana really loves her otp. whenever they’re at everglen she makes a point to grab a butter knife and a glass and clang the silver utensil against it so it makes a little tink! tink! tink! (biana learned that from sophie when they were talking about human weddings. she found out that means the couple has to kiss. sophie and fitz aren’t married, but they might as well be)

 ◦  fitz doesn’t know the actual meaning of it, but sophie always rolls her eyes and he pulls her in and kisses her, nonetheless

◦  sophie has the worst period cramps. absolutely terrible. she’s bedridden for around two days and she’s always writhing around in pain.

elwin gets her tons of elixirs and she takes them all, but she’s still always sore and left sweating.

fitz just sits with her in bed, her eyebrows pressed together in pain. their foreheads are together and he twirls her hair patiently, giving her occasional kisses on the tip of her nose, just to show that he’s there

◦ sophie loves forehead kisses and fitz knows it. he makes it a priority to give her one whenever he has the chance.

if she’s grumpy or in a bad mood, it’s difficult to give her one because she becomes standoff-ish. so, he’ll play his cards and get her in a convenient enough position so that he can give her the forehead kiss she deserves

 ◦  ex:

fitz: “i think that’s my textbook on the top shelf of your locker”

sophie: “what?” *rises on tiptoes to look*

fitz: *fOreHead KisS*

sophie: my god -

 ◦  they talk about a baby in their future. they both really want a little bundle of joy in their life and they both just gush and blush over the topic.

they’re usually in bed, leaning against the headboard. their knees are touching and they’re both looking and each other, just… smiling and turning red and holding hands

 ◦  at the same time, sophie’s scared about having a kid. she’s afraid there will be complications or that she and the baby will get judged - and even fitz. she doesn’t want to “bring him down”

 ◦  fitz assures her that she’s being crazy, though.  

 ◦  fitz uses tons of nicknames for sophie because he’s just that kind of guy. he calls her the mushy stuff like princess, babe, honey, love, cutie, baby girl, and all other options. he’s even been caught calling her ‘honey bee’, once

So the keeper of the lost cities series is great. And the fandom is aight and I love being a part of the it, but there’s room for improvement in the ship name area.

Like keefe x sophie was #teamfosterkeefe and now it’s “sokeefe” when it should be KEEFOSTER.

Fitz x sophie technically has two ship names sofitz and sophitz. I think SOPHITZ is more correct because you’re truly combining their names that way.

And tam x biana should not be tiana. Tiana’s our girl from Princess and the Frog, not a ship name. Some thought needs to be put into creating this stuff. I think it should be VANISHADE because it seamlessly combines Vanisher and Shade!

Oh yeah definitely - he actually taught the kids how to resist the Cruciatus and Imperius curses, even when he normally used the spells against kids like that! (I'm guessing)
